Penny's made in 2008 are low mintage, that is new to me. That's awesome thanks. I went through my pennies I sorted in the 2000 dates. I have quite a few of both D and P! I can see why the Denver was not made well for this year but the ones I have are very nice. I always keep every 2009 penny that I find as well.

A friend has a 2008 no mint Lincoln cent that is larger in diameter and appears to be made of a different material. The detail on Lincoln's hair particularly stood out to me. It almost appears to be fake but idk. I'm going to encourage him to either get it looked at or sell it to me for $20!

@@leroyneil3115 Thanks for the tip Leroy an i think the mintage was around 10,000,000,not sure but close,i knew when they changed that image that would be worth something and also found my first Satene 2009.
But the 2008 D is worth a little more if you can find one in any MS. But i saved quite a few even some not MS but they will be worth something when people start looking for them in their collections.
@@leroyneil3115 Man, according to my Blue Book Values the 2008 there where 2,558,800,000 and the 2008-D MM they was 2,849,600,000. But the 2008-S but is not quite as high as the other two 2008s in price now!

I'm a total beginner and very appreciative of your channel, as I always learn a lot from your videos. I just found one red 2008 D in my change. I mean, it looks red to me, but what do I know? It doesn't seem to have scratches except very minor ones and only visible via a 10X lens. Ok great! But now I don't know what to do with it. Save it? Sell it? Are coins valuable only when graded by a reputable coin dealer? If "dealer" is even the right word .... if not, I apologize. Anyway, thank you. I guess I'll find out eventually. Oh, one more question: I checked and Pill Pouches are not made from PVC. Given that people put medications in them, are they safe for coins as well? The manufacturer claims they have no leakage of damaging fumes. Thank you.

I don't know what it would cost to send it off but i just sent one penny off to NGC which is a great Grading Co.but it was $70 just for one have to wait an see what there going for, but i know it can't be $70.
I almost put a 2008 P penny with gorgeous rainbow toning in my auction next week 😳... It has to be at least MS67. Something told me to look up highest grade for this penny. So glad you made this vid! The special finish satin pennies wears off in the plastic holder in the original mint packaging. I have hundreds of them.
