I'd like a video going into detail about business strike vs proof. I'm struggling to find enough or the right information. If you end up making a video about the following below, could you comment or somthing so I know to look out for it?
I have a couple proofs that look like business strikes, and some nice business strikes that look like proof coins.
Detail about the differences and how to spot proofs would be greatly appreciated. It would be nice to compare uncirculated coins, to circulated (but good quality), then to poor quality proofs vs business strikes. Also looking at red vs brown proofs. Over all just a good compiled video for some of us who are not as good at identifying proofs in circulation or that are missing mint marks. Lastly id like to see copper proofs (pre 82), and proofs from mints besides san francisco.
Thanks for constantly putting out videos for us to learn! Being disabled and in severe pain 24/7 (essentially house bound currently), it's given me somthing to do to distract myself from life/pain.

I have the 92 close am and also the 99 close am mule ect..
I finally found a wide AM on one of the years to look for a wide AM. But sadly, the place I found it was at Costco. At the cutlery display, the lady cut coins, to show how string their kitchen scissors are. I had a feeling to look at the ones she cut. To my surprise, I found a wide AM. I posted a video of it on my tiktok, thinking it was, key word "WAS" worth about $25. Someone told me that 1999 wide AM is worth way more. Around $250-$500. Well, this one is a 1999 wide AM. And it "was" in really good condition before she cut it. I asked if I could keep it, since it was now worthless with the damage she did. She let me keep it. When I told her how she damaged a coin that was worth far more than it's face value, she said she was going to let her manager know what happened. She was shocked how much the coin she damaged "WAS" worth. LOL

Question in the 1992 penny mine is uncirculated but it doesn’t have the letter D,P,S. Just 1992 AM close together is it rare? Thank you. Karin

I love your channel! I came across a 1992 penny that has a small hole in the laminate on the obverse and the Lincoln Memorial on the reverse has cuts across the top and also spots on the bottom. It doesn't look like PMD. Can I get your opinion?

I’ve enjoyed your videos and I’m a rank beginner and learned much. And got me so interested that I went to my bank and got 0ne Hundred $1 bills and was pleasantly shocked that I retained 20 (disposed of 80) that had misprints front or back of both. Maybe I have beginners luck. I would like to send you the 20 misprints and hope you agree they have value.

i have a 1990d licoln memorial excellent condition it has doubling in pratically on everything both side its very noticable with the naked eye on all except liberty and one cent also i would grade it red its very shiny and no dents barely any noticable scratches or marks but idk what i'm doing can u help me estimate how much this coin is worth incase i want to get it graded thanks

Has anybody heard of a 2002 Lincoln penny that can be picked up with a magnet yes I just found one and I had it x-rayed
At 4:36, you can see what I've been told, is a die clash also. The shape of the bust is seen on the reverse and the shape of the building is seen on the obverse. I guess this isn't something the grading would have included because it's not really anything?

I do have Doubling on 1992 D mint Liberty and on the back All the Lettering is Doubling so is the Building and One Cent don't know AM close because of doubling what should I do

So i just started looking at coins, i have never dealt with coin collectors. Can anyone give any advice of where to start. I have so many questions about coins ive found amd when i watch videos for instance the 1990 no s mint , I just found one from a proof set its not matte finish it is shiney, well those are just some of the questions i have.

What does "struck through" mean? And yeah the amount a coin sold at auction is interesting, I'd rather KNOW WHAT I SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR, not always how much someone else got for a coin 5-10yrs ago.

I have a 1996 P Washington Quarter on the reverse side under the Eagles feet, there is an error the last part of the word QUARTER like so "Quar" and the first part of the word DOLLAR like so.. "LOAR" is missing. Is it worth me paying to have it graded? I can send a picture. I cant find this error reported . Not to say it hasn't been. The word AMERICA has to be equal and consistent in spacing.

Is there a book out there we can get also that tells us what to look for
For general coin knowledge, the best book is "The Red Book Guide to United States Coins," by R.S. Yeoman. It lists every coin the US has ever minted and the approximate amount of money it would cost to buy a specific coin. It has a companion volume, "The Blue Book of United States Coins"--also by Yeoman--which gives you the approximate amount of money a coin dealer would give you for a specific coin. The books come out annually so it's best to have the latest edition! 🙂
