fenril more than likely is because it is based on fenrir, but with the L instead of the R since the digimon name doesn't have the second R. As far as Melga, from what I've found online, it is because of the Digimon V-Tamer manga. Some tamers called digimon by nicknames (like Rina calling her Veemon Veevee), and MetalGarurumon was called Melga by their tamer.
Yeah agree 100%. The new liberator stuff has just been so lackluster which is unfortunate cause in testing they’re actually really fun to play but how do these decks compete against something like the dark animal engine and galaxy engine? Getting the reveals for ex8 is so underwhelming. Ifl they’re trying to bring the power levels down but choosing to ignore the broken stuff that came before it and hoping that we just forget that it exist lol. Surely they’ll get bored of galaxy loop -bandai probably
Hexeblau is no joke, it makes the purp hybrid matchup so easy. Also hard agree not enough blue players are going back to ice wall, lots of decks need to attack to throw counterpunches
I'm feeling better taking Angels to Regionals 1st of December. Hopfully the LordKnighy hype died down after the underwhelming results. Just have to decide if T.K. & Kari for start of turn barrier is something I want to slot in, in theory sounds broken, but so far I never missed it. (Sorry for misspelling your name Sean 😂)
It's all good. It's happened my entire life. I'm used to it lol I say do it. Even if you run into LKM it isn't an autoloss. Angels kinda dunk on everything else. T.K. and Kari isn't necessary if you run BT15 Gatos.
I hate Logan but just to clarify: You said that Amanda Serrano vs Katie Taylor was controversial because Amanda Serrano landed more punches on Katie Taylor and because of that, she should have won, right? Paul landed 78 of 278 total punches and connected on 31 of 179 jabs. Tyson, landed 18 of his 97 total punches to go along with 5 of 62 jabs.
I actually voted for Ragna OTK, that deck is ridiculously fun Q: Do you think Bandai should intentionally make it so EN and JP/Asia have different metas even after the Global Sync? EN has had a different meta from JP since BT16~EX6 because we havnt had key LM cards like Scrambles and the LM Aces. Now with 2.0 we have a format that didnt even exist in JP. I know in Yu-Gi-Oh they have different ban list and region exclusive cards specifically to have different metas for their formats. Do you think that would be good or bad in Digimon?
Alright let me put to bed all the Galaxy engine concerns. Here are the tops from the BT17/EX7 EN format (16 majors): Imperial: 48 AncientGaru: 39 Mirage (normal version): 21 MagnaX Armor: 20 Demon Lords: 19 Fenrilooga TKM: 18 LeviaX: 18 Dex: 15 Mother Shoto: 7 Yellow Vax: 8 Omni Ace: 8 Red Hybrid: 5 Tyrant: 4 Phoenix: 3 Angels: 4 Shine: 4 Mirage GALAXY: 3 Non-Mirage GALAXY: 2 The funniest way to put it is that the galaxy engine is responsible for 1.95% of all tops in BT17/EX7. Placing it in the 4 most recent formats (bt14/bt15/bt16/bt17), that would make it the 15th/13th/11th/13th best deck of those formats respectively. I think we are getting misdirected by Mirage sleeper agents that want their deck to live on forever... how on earth bt11 Mirage is still legal at 4 is beyond amazing to me. I guess Bandai just continuously has slightly more ridiculous cards to care about and they keep forgetting to hit it
@@thatoneLerrydude Galaxy engine has seen play in many different decks in the past 3-4 sets (basically after bt16 gaoga was printed). Remember when everyone was losing their mind over the version that skips your opponent's turn? The deck's "brokenness" just gets overexaggerated because it snowballs hard if you don't disrupt them... but you can say that about most decks nowadays.
The way Chris plays and builds mother is not optimal. Hard playing things for big costs then passing is way too slow. My mother build focuses on defense and out grinding the opponent whilst also accruing resources. Mother is sorta like sec con, you need to know how to efficiently control your opponent.
50:50 This is not "Dog Walk". Its because 95% of people cant actually tell the difference between Galaxy Decks. "Dog Walk" is just Galaxy Loop but with Mirage, which is not the deck in this breakdown. Thats Blue Galaxy. Galaxy is the name of the engine(Light Fang + Night Claw) and Blue is for the top end you use. Some people call it Mirage Galaxy but i find that ridiculous because 1. Often times you run the same amount of Hexe or Ryugu as Mirage, so why is it Mirage Galaxy? And 2. Because there is an **actual** Mirage Galaxy that uses 4 Mirage and 3 Mirage Burst Mode with Thomas and then the rest is the Galaxy Engine and Hexeblau
1:34:00 Imo Luna, Night Claw Gao, and Huankunmon need to be hit. All 3 are not only insane inside Galaxy but insane outside it. NC Gao would badly hit both Galaxy and Mirage. Lunamon is showing more and more that she is just a broken generic rookie and is several orders of magnitude better then Coronamon even inside their own engine because of the 3rd card. Huankunmon is just a plain unfair card. Blue should not have access to a completely generic unsuspend with one of the best lv5 when digi's in the game. All 3 of those cards are hard carrying Galaxy and all 3 are significantly better then even the red dual tamer. All that being said both tamers need to be hit with the blue going to 0 or they need to be erratad. The blue tamer is only used in degenerate turn skip decks and im sure only equally degenerate strategies in the future, players should not have access to start of turn timing at all. The red tamer isnt as bad but even if it doesnt deserve to be banned now it scales infinitely and should be hit eventually because at some point we will get a lv7 that absolutely skyrockets the entire deck into T0 territory.
Lets be honest, the Galaxy deck isn't a problem, it just gets blamed for Mirage's sins. The only cards worth mentioning in the ban list discussion are BT16 Gaoga and EX6 Huankun. Those cards are in all variations of the 3 decks (Mirage, Galaxy, Galaxy-Mirage). The actual Galaxy engine (dual tamer etc) is nowhere near prevalent enough

Brandon, I will play bees with four Protoform. Will let you know how it goes.

That's the deck I wanted to win lol
I want to say Melga is from a manga.

Yes Mirage BT11 need to die, but the Galaxy engine is just slept on and is now finally being tested.

He seems to have a lot of weird lists from some of his deck profiles on the channel

Ohhhh. Thank you for clarifying. That makes so much more sense.
Eat it normally.
