Can I just say how much I love Investigations 2? It's such a good game which is a shame that it never left Japan, but here's hoping we get an Investigations 3 some day. - เกม

As much as I can understand Simon’s motives, he stooped so low by trying to frame innocent *children* for his crimes that it killed whatever sympathy I might’ve felt for him, especially given all the trauma John and Kay (especially the latter) went through as a result. Needless to say, having Simon finally taken down by the very animals he’d manipulated and (presumably) mistreated/abused for so long was incredibly satisfying on so many levels.
i just think simon dont really feel sympathy like the majority does because well, hes like that because of his past, he doesn't see children as children, they're all pawns in his eyes because that's how he learned growing up sadly

@@mazingetter5965 Animals don’t usually just gang up on one specific person without some kind of provocation, and they generally don’t understand concepts such as manipulation. If Keyes had treated the animals nicely, then the animals would have responded to him accordingly, no matter what kind of a person he really was or what his actual reasons for treating them nicely may or may not have been.
But instead, for all of the animals to get together to attack only Keyes and NONE of the several other people present at the time (Edgeworth, Kay, Shields, etc.) certainly speaks volumes. Likewise, the fact that the attack happened precisely at the moment when Keyes showed signs of weakness indicates that the animals were afraid of him before that (hence why they were so perfectly obedient to him while he was in full control of the situation), but were still sufficiently provoked to lash out specifically at him once he was vulnerable.
All things considered, unless someone deliberately provoked the animals into attacking Keyes (the only possibility being Shelly de Killer, but there’s no indication that he did so), Keyes’ breakdown alone indicates at the very least that they disliked him even before the final showdown with Edgeworth.
@@yumeyumedi That is true as well. And TBH, in retrospect, my overall view of Keyes has softened up quite a bit in the time since I wrote the original comment.
If I remember correctly, Keyes always saw everyone as having some kind of ulterior motive and never truly showing kindness for its own sake, which was ultimately why he had no qualms with treating everyone around him like pawns. The only known exception was Dogen, primarily because of his genuine gratitude to Dogen for saving his life and vice versa. Who knows? Maybe someday that could set up Dogen to become a sort of Morality Pet for Keyes in a future game.
@@LittleMissRequiem To be fair this is an ace attorney game, it's more likely that the animals turned on him because he was revealed to be evil. And in typical cartoon fashion they sensed the revealed evil.
I really don't think that a lot of thought was put into it.
This is one, if not, my favorite moment in the series. Investigations 2 is such a phenomenal game.
They really gotta do more games with different starring protagonists like Investigations, makes me like all the other attorneys that's not just the Defence team lol

I always found the scene where dogen offers john to kill him as revenge chilling because especially in the first plathrough you do not know how john might act since you see neither of them ever again (which makes me ask again please capcom make investigations 3 it's been 11 years)

@@metronews6767It is not connected like the first game, in this one the KG-8 incident is the origin of everything that happens, everything is treated very differently with respect to DL-6 The DL-6 incident as such only affects 2 cases in AA1, which are the second and fourth cases, and both cases, apart from what are caused by DL-6, are not related to each other. On the other hand, in AAI2 the KG-8 affects all cases, which are interconnected with each other (a clear example is the end of the first case and the beginning of the second). 4 of the 5 cases are basically caused by Simon, and the one that wasn't was the one that caused Simon to do everything else.
