I wish more of these Gundam side stories would get animated, or at least have their manga/games be translated into English. These stories are more interesting then a majority of Gundam shows coming out today (not saying that those shows are bad).

I like to think that the EXAM and HADES systems would eventually be refined into the NT-D system due to some similarities. There is no proof of course its just a thought.
Actually Exam( minus newtype assimilation) and the Psyconeutralizer systems.
No it leads to the ALICE system in gundam sentinel, but I dont know if it is canon anymore
@@joehill4094 actually ALICE was independently developed for the assist in Core module docking. But with the S Gundam expanded to pilot assist. And yes Sentinel is canon.
ToastyCoyote it is an interesting thought, when entering their respective boost modes, both have some of their parts glow red, until the unicorn and banshee reached the point where it becomes green, both are in a way driven or pushed further through emotion or instinct, both are built to counter special types of pilots, exam and hades with new types and the NTD with new types and cyber new types, and both have pilots that get hit by the repercussions of their machines, I.E. lack of memory, unconscious like state during battle, or emotions heightened and driving the pilot almost to the point where the mobile suits can operate on their own as it seems at times.
The NT-D could actually be considered a counter to both of the systems since EXAM and HADES were meant to simulate the abilities of a NewType whereas the NT-D (as its name implies) would relentless hunt down anything that it detected was even remotely like a NewType.
The Pale Rider Units look SO AWESOME!!!

Now for some notes about the video:
Cyber Newtypes in Japanese sources and media are usually referred to as 強化人間, which literally translated to “strengthened or enhanced human” and does not exclusively mean a human with newtype abilities. Halo’s Master Chief would also be a 強化人間.
So while Chloe is enhanced, whether or not you want to call her a Cyber Newtype is debatable.
There is one big problem with the Pale Rider’s story that makes it very hard to incorporate into the main canon, the fact that the unit first appears during the battle of Jaburo. At this time none of the units that the original Pale Rider was developed from were in development themselves. Even its appearance at Solomon is a stretch. Frankly, the only way to merge the complete Pale Rider and Hades is to reverse the development cycle and making the GM Sniper II based on the Pale Rider rather than the other way around.
Well from what I've heard, Sunrise doesn't consider Video Games canon, while mangas are debatable and animes are canon by default, unless stated otherwise.

I've always liked the Pale Rider due to it having influences from some of my favorite Mobile Suits like the GM Sniper II and the Blue Destiny. I never knew the full story of its HADES mode, so I'm glad you were able to fully explain it!
There is another Pale Rider. It's in the manga Mobile Suit Gundam Aggressor. It's red, has reactive armor, and has only one beam saber.
That would be the Red Rider and it also has a shield that transforms into a large beam sword. It can be a pain in Gundam Battle Operation 2 with its spin attack when you don't pay attention to it.
@@Cain1134 I agree. My first encounter with the Red Rider in GBO2 scared the shit out of me & pissed me off by killing me constantly whenever it spotted me before I could even react. That’s when I learned to stay the f@$& away from it & just shoot it from a distance while moving
@@liamtheheroicgundamwarrior9752 You also need to be able to see its wind up before the spin attack in order to counter. Sadly, that mainly works when it's in front of you and NOT being swarmed by its team.

Dude I main the Pale Rider in Ground battles The thing doesn’t have a shield but its so fast that it doesn’t need one. HADES system should only be activated in a pinch since once it expires it damages your whole Mobile Suit.
I absolutely love these Gundam lore videos! I just wish there were more of these than just gunpla alone.

In my school vr game, Goalius has the HADES system, and the most memorable moment of it use is the death of battletrap, who was ripped in half by him, and it showed a nasty side effect of increasing the rage center of the brain making the pilot more aggressive
I wonder if EXAM or HADES had any impact on the development of NTD we see in Unicorn?
Seems possible but the problem is the NTD most likely had to be thought up from the ground up due to EXAM and HADES being developed but thier creators wind up dead or imprisoned leaving very little R&D for those systems and the fact those OS MS eventually destroyed beyond repair further delayed those Anti-Newtype weapons.
In a way the countermeasures against Newtypes is rather limited due to lack of research. The Incom weapon systems was the closest common weapon to Counter Newtypes but unfortunately thanks to Desides faction that gave Neo-Zeon one of the Gundam Mk-Vs which that became a basis for the Doban Wolf which came equipped with Incom weapons.
Given that the Narrative's and the Phenex's eyes turn red when this is activated, it's very possible.
If it's possible, I'd like to see a video on what are some of the good things (if any) that the Titans did. We all know of them as the villain, so I think it'll be cool to see if they did anything good during their time

Well there was that one time a asshimar pilot used his own mobile suit as a shield to protect a building full of people in mobile suit zeta Gundam.
They gave us the Byralant custom and it’s pilot, the Titans would also have somewhat of an influence on Londo Bell which would replace it, and while they definitely did some very bad things, the times they did do good it was well cool
In Gundam Katana, iirc the did help fight with the protagonists.

Kakarot I'm on my Hazel Madness just snapped my Hazel 2 and used that extra shield booster for the Custom. Next Advanced, then Hrududu and Primrose, then ORX 5 and TR6 Hazel 2 and I will be getting somewhere!

Hey Kakarot I was thinking, maybe you could showcase some very obscure ms designs that most people arent aware of, there are a ton of them and I think It could be very interesting to learn their existence and have a piece of lore with it? (For example the macross looking gundam from 00 or some very unknown variants like the civilian astray custom)

Looking at this video now and playing Gundam Battle Operation 2, we now know that there was a White Rider, Black Rider, and Red Rider with EXAM like systems named after other Greek gods.

This is an Interesting vid because I never heard of the HADES System.
The research definitely continued to this date. I don't know if you have read Fujioka's "Over the Mind." There is a clear connection between the story and what is depicted in NT (Narrative). And the technology eventually matured to the NTD in UC.
I think the PR Calvary and DII sorta used design aspects from the RX-81 G-Line's chest. And come to think of it, i remember seeing a Red PR (and it is at this point that i realise this episode is about the HADES system and not the Pale Riders XD)

pale rider is probably my 2nd fav unit just for the fact it uses a upgraded version of the GM sniper 2 which is my fav unit (none gundams i might add)
I’m surprise there were any records of the EXAM to look over. Encounters in Space clearly stated that no records about the program would be made. Only those who were actually there know what happen. Let’s not forget about compartmentalization.

I have been confused by how to classify the Pale Rider. Is it a Gundam-type or not? This clarifies thats it’s the latter though more of a pseudo-Gundam with all those parts from the RX-78 line. Surprising they still had leftover parts though.
Apparently the Pale Rider was developed (according to Missing Link) as a “complete” version of the RX-78
If you ever want to do part 3 the nitro System would be a good pick, it being related to the Hases system after all.

Just won a duel on battle operations using the calvery, gouf VD charged me while we were both low and I only had 17 seconds of hades left. I landed the counter to his melee attack and all I have to say is suck my hyper animosity detect estimate system. lol
Super cool visual to see the gouf explode and this angry pale rider emerge from the smoke from its fresh kill.

Given how the NT-D system operates, would it be too much of a stretch to say that it was based off of both the HADES and EXAM system?
And of course, we would finally get as close to perfect of a Newtype simulation system with the n_i_t_r_o system. Although, I would say that it's less simulation and more of a temporary Cyber-Newtype conversion system.

New Drawbacks: memory loss and even less control/stability. Also a shortened life span.
You know, the HADES system is very similar to the PX-System from Wing's G-Unit stuff

Supposedly this memory loss could have been caused by the "enhancements" done to her. Such at the time was deemed necessary due to the G-forces exhibited by the unit. Many if not all Cyber Newtypes had similar issues.

The Palerider was such a cool looking suit. Shame its p bandai but i managed to get my hands on the hg metal spray version.
Ahhh the Hades and Exam systems...the precursors to Gundam Wing's Zero and Epyon Systems. Unlike the Hades system, the Zero System didnt stress memory loss on the pilot nor did it leave the MS damaged. The Zero System was built by the 5 Gundam Engineers to create a system to achieve absolute victory no matter the cost. It only managed to drive the pilots insane due to overloading the pilot with more info than a person can handle. Only a few pilots could withstand the stress the Zero System. Those were Heero Huy, Zechs Marquis, and the late Trieze Khushrenda (RIP Trieze). And Heero was different about it and treated Zero like the suit was a sentient being and during Heero's fight with Zechs in the Final Battle, Heero often argued with Zechs on how correct Epyon truly was and "What Future did it lead him" and often referred to Zero's path as the correct one.
Add-on: The reason why Wing Zero was locked away unfinished was due to how dangerous Wing Zero had become despite the 5 Engineers's plans for it. To create the ultimate Gundam to achieve absolute victory. The stress on the pilot's mind is why the Wing Zero was never completed. Fearing it to be more dangerous than all of OZ put together and putting their plans of destroying OZ in jeopardy.
