    Hello and welcome to BOAB Models - today we'll be building the Ford Bronco in 1/25 by Revell. A car which was ahead of its time, a Sports Utility Vehicle from the mid-'60s. This kit was first released by Revell in 2016 and depicts a 1973 model year version of the Mk.1 car.

    Nice build! The kit seems to be a bit fiddly in some parts, but you did a good job! Colour suits it very well. I've got the Baja version still sealed in plastic, never got to open the box. Perhaps your build will inspire me to pick it up from the stash some time soon.

      Thanks, Gus. It's a nice build and certainly been a while since I built an off roader. The Baja one would be good to weather.

      @BOABModels I think so, too. I still haven't tried my hand at some heavy off-road weathering. Maybe it's time

    Damn! I think I put a clutch in this a few years ago! Seem like it was bigger, though.

    Ford's answer to the Jeep ! Derived from General Purpose vehicles (Jeep) Jeep became a Make brand after WW2... Sport Utility Vehicle!

    Great kit. I think it's crying for after market parts. That was a fast assembly and a few misses on your part. But I love it. Its more than I have gotten done. 😢

    It turned out great. Nice color combination. I myself recently finished my Bronco, only in green color. Received a very nice model upon completion. Assembly isn't difficult, but it has its moments

    Nice job on this one. I have "almost" bought this one so many times but then, put it back on the shelf. may next time I'll actually pick it up and build it. Thanks for the video, have a great week.

      Thanks, David - I was interested to see how this went together as I'd not made a recently tooled US kit. Good luck with it yourself!

    Great work Thomas, was a pleasure seeing this Bronco getting finished in one video. Cool colours too, especially for the body as it looks great. Well done.

      Many thanks, Karl. There was over an hour of footage to trim down so I hope I didn't miss too much out.

    Nice end result, but quite the challenge it seems.
    Thank you for the tip with the chrome parts.
    Have a nice evening.

      Thanks, Chris. It wasn't a beginner kit as it was a bit fiddly in places. Glad you enjoyed it

    This car was popular in Iceland, which always seems to be in the middle of the Atlantic. Half way to America. This kit is waiting for me to open the box, nice introduction here, thanks for sharing

    • @BOABModels
      @BOABModels  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Glad you liked the build. That's interesting to hear about American cars in Iceland - is that still the case? There were more US cars where I lived in England than most as we had a lot of US airbases nearby but I still never saw a Bronco.

    • @jonakason4451
      @jonakason4451 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BOABModels The Americans established a big base in Iceland during WWII and kept it there for decades. This meant a more close contact with American consumer products than in most other European countries, not least when it comes to cars. Also the Bronco fits well into the rugged road environment with its off road capabilities. Of course the Land Rover was king of the mountains and farmland while you could say Bronco was a more stylish and urban version of that type of vehicle.
