These came out GORGEOUS!!! I’d like to see minimalistic geometric nail art I’m OBSESSED with this look!!!
“I got married and moved across the country” 😂
Hahaha
Lol
Then what to do
😅😅😅😅
What a great tutorial! It took me a long time to get my gel polish to come out this well. I always use pH Bond too (it’s a dehydrator), it helps so much. I only use primer for nail extensions. For me, the bunching happens when I put the gel on too thick. Better 3 thin coats than 2 thicker coats with bunching.
How about making a video for the best nail shape according to your nail bed/ and or fingernail shape.
I'd watch this!! I'm constantly changing up my nail shape and I'm still not sure which one I prefer or if it even suits me as well as I think it does...
Tanya Bhaskar I have an odd nail shape and I have no idea how to shape my nails.
I had a book that suggested the most natural nail tip echos your nail bed - my nail bed is “squoval”, sort of a softly square-cornered oval. When I shape the edge of my nail to this shape it really does look nice.
3:33 I am so glad to see others cap the free edge first, too...and "bulldozing" the gel up towards the cuticle, too! ❤
i have ALWAYS wondered what caused that weird bumpiness that happened sometimes! thank you for the tips!
I'm new to get nail polish, or even doing my nails in general. I love this video, you not only informed me of how to do it, but you covered all of the mistakes I've been making. I am confident that next time I do it, it will then out much better.the
I can't express how much this video has helps. I've learned how to do these nails because I hate fake nails. Today has been awful my step dad wrecked and I haven't been able to take my mind off of it. I had to stay home while he went to the hospital so to pass time I did these. Your video has helped so much. So thank you. I'm gonna subscribe. I love your videos 🥺❣️
This is the detailed tutorial I've been looking for!!! Yaaaassssss queeeen!!!
This helped me a lot. I did mine for the first time last night. However, I didn't do the alcohol step or primer that you did at the beginning. Also, I didn't know about capping the edge. Now, I do!! Thank you so much!!
I’m so glad you said you have had your base coat pull away!!! I had that problem too and have actually quit using a base coat because it did that and had to cure one at a time. I’m going to try OPI base coat. Great tips!
Congratulations ❤️❤️ I love gel videos. I’m new to doing my own gel nails and I love watching your tips and tricks
OMG! Congratulations girl! ❤
"Husband does my nails" ?
this is so beautiful! you make it look so easy.
Capping before seems like a really good idea!! Will definitely try that next time I do my nails haha
That really helped to just get some basics. A lot of tutorials assume you know what everything is, as someone who hasn't really done my nails properly before it really helped.
Yes, like a nail prep, a primer etc. and I’m like… I have a base coat and that’s it, I also don’t want to invest in anything before I know whether I like it or not so this video is great!
Thanks for the really informative video! I just got my gel nail kit today (thanks, coronavirus) and i'm excited to try doing my nails at home
Omg! Congratulations on your wedding!! ❤😊 also can you do videos of wedding nails ? It will be nice to show different nail designs for weddings 🤗
This was legit! Awesome. Good job girl.
Congratulations Juli!! ❤️
Hey Girl!
You already know how happy I am for you! ;) It’s so good to see your videos again. I/we missed you! These tips are spot on perfection, and so helpful! That color is so soft, and pretty! It’s definitely one of your colors. 💘😙
First step for me will be learning how to shape my nails properly
Such a pretty gel color! 💜
This was actually amazing!!! So helpful thank you so much
Best video for this I’ve been able to find!
This is the first actual helpful video! Thank you !!
Omg thank you, my first try was awful but it’s because I need to practice. You mean the world to meee ❤❤
Congrats to you, Juli!!
Great video! These tips helped me so much!!
Thanks for being so thorough!!!
This one is very helpful def gonna try it next time ❤
Just a tip . Don’t put cuticle oil on your gel nails it dulls them. Just apply to the cuticle and rub upwards.
Thank you for actual helpful tips!!
I love how detailed this is
The Ph bond product is just a dehydrator and not a primer. I love the colour you chose.
Congratulations! May you be abundantly blessed! Periwinkle is one of my fave colors! Its so light and pretty! 😍😍😍

Great video. I have bought my first gel nail kit. I want to gel my own nails. This video was step by step instructions which was handy. Also on amazon i bought magic gel remover which is quicker to remove gel. I bought two bottles. 👍 and thank you.
Love that color and very informative video, thanks 💖💖
yay gurl ❤❤
so glad u back ❤🔥🔥
When you said you use a cleanser vs alcohol to clean off the sticky layer do you use a special nail cleanser? (Sorry I’m very new)
I ordered my very first gel nail set from ModelOnes two days ago. First time user. Thank you for the tips!
i have ALWAYS wondered what caused that weird bumpiness that happened sometimes! thank you for the tips!
How are the nails going now?
This is absolutely amazing tysm!

Natural nail goals 😻
Thank youuuuuu for this great video. You made it super easy. 😃
Hi. Its very helpful for me specially ots my first time. Thank you very much for this video. 😊🥰
Welcome back! Love your videos 💅💅
Beautiful video!
You must try KoKo&Claire Gel Polish. It’s designed for at home use and has a peel off base coat for easy removal! Simply buff the free edge and surface of the nail and soak in hot water!
Congratulations, Juli!
Welcome back and BIG CONGRATS!! 💐
I so love the finish and longevity of gel, but my nail beds can’t tolerate the light. It got so bad that it hurt to wash my hair, and they became very discolored as they turned an unattractive shade of dark yellow. This was a few yrs ago, so do you think the technology of the lighting may have changed since then? I always thought they bulbs were the same, and it never occurred to me to ask whether they were led or not.
Any advice?
Also YOU ROCK!!!
🤓
Drug Store Girl do u use LED light?
Great video. I’m going to try doing my first gel polish with light tomorrow . I bought a complete kit on amazon. My question for you is your colour right out of the bottle looked opaque, the ones that came with my kit look more sheer do you know if they will look opaque after? Thanks
I love the baby blue colour!
Very helpful tips!!
TYSM for this tutorial!!
Thanks So Much Dear! You Look Fabulous Hun! 💙💙💙💙💛💛💛😇😇😇💛💛💙💙💙💙💜💜💜💜💕💕💕💖💖💖💖

Capping BEFORE painting the nail is gonna CHANGE my nail game. Thank you.
Thank you! I just started doing gel nails on my channel hopefully when U get enough money I can get more gel stuff and maybe even start acrylics
congrats!!!
Such a great video
Yesss it was!
Hello! I loved the technique! 💕 I also would like to know how to remove the nail polish without demaging the nails? 😀
Soak in acetone push back with cuticle pusher
I love that colour you used, very pretty :D
OMGGGG So Pretttyyyyy!!!! 💙💙💙☺️☺️😘😘😘💙💙💙💙
I'm fan of ur nail art
Love!!
Did you cut your cuticles? Just wondering! Helpful video :)
Thanks! btw you have beautiful nails and hands
Do you cure the OPI gels with the Le Maxi Macaron lamp for longer than 30 seconds for each coat? I want to buy the lamp, but it seems really low wattage.
Are all led lights the same?
I have a small one and was wondering if it works the same as a bigger led lamp
how are your nails soooo healthy with gel! mine are always so thin bc of the removal process
Good information 😊👍
How do you paint them so perfectly?! The video makes it look extremely easy to prevent it from pooling in the corners of the nail and cuticles. This always happens to me no matter how much I practice.
You may have too much polish on your brush!
practice!
1. Try painting with the tip of your nail pointed down so if the gel flows it flows away from your cuticles.
2. Paint the center of your nail and only go up to about 2 mm from the cuticle. Then wipe the excess gel from your brush and "cut in" to finish the edges so the edges are thin and wont flow.
3. Use a nice bright light and check the edges before you cure. Clean up with an orange stick or something, like she did in the video if there is any gel on the skin.
Congratulations plz show us your nail polish collection
That’s exactly the way I do my nails and they last longer than when I get them done at the salon. Thanks for the tips x
How many days/weeks does it last?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
Thank you for this video, I only like getting my nails done at the nail shop but I wanted to save money. So I decide I needed to sacrifice getting my nails done and do them myself.
I love gel but I get bored with colours so quickly lmao... I might try this sometime though, maybe when I'm about to get busy so I don't have to bother changing up my nails too much
I agree completely with getting bored of the colors. The way I have combated that well still using gel is to use a thermal color changing gel. At least you have two colors and they change back and forth depending on the temperature of your fingers.
Just do a different colour on each nail 💅
You would probably like press on nail sets. like real handmade reusable ones, not the cheap Kiss brand ones u can buy at walmart. check out @_the_nail_bank_ on IG
What is an alternative to uv/led light when curing your gel polish?
Can you use acetone to remove edges before curing?
Thanks for the tips
love the video
I’ll try that! 😊😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😇😇😇❤️❤️❤️❤️
Doesn’t acetone melt gel polish? So should we really use it when applying gel polish??
Do you have a link to your vid of your favorite topcoats?
Better & classier than fake any day
Can I not use the dehydrator or is there an alternative?
Would be awesome if you show us how to safely remove the gel. Thanks
Can you show a video on how to do chrome nails?
Awesome video! I bought that O.P.I topcoat and it doesn't really stay shiny. I cure for a minute and 10 seconds (48 watt) but it loses the shine almost immediately no matter if I wipe with cleanser, alcohol, or acetone. Its really disappointing. Do you have any tips or tricks? I'd be extremely grateful!
I use the CND top coat. I love it. The shine lasts up to 2 wks probably even more but I usually dont keep my color more than 2 wks
