For the Council Chambers, I would've used Kaidan's comment on the stairs: "You sure have to climb a lot of stairs to reach the Council. Think that's supposed to be symbolic of their importance?" and Ashley's "So this is where the Council passes their judgment on all us little folk, huh?" or any of Liara's line.
compared to ME2 and 3, the seamlessness of the ME1 Citadel is so impressive, even if you don't take notice of it at first. It's like how the Dark Souls 1 world is laid out, or how every level in Half-Life games is connected. It just feels much more compelling than disjointed missions or even fully open game worlds
This is incredible! I realize this took you months but the results are very impressive. I'd love to see more like this if it's something you enjoyed creating!
Thanks! I though about I could maybe do the Feros and/or Noveria hubs/mission areas, those probably would look interesting as well. But I wouldn't do them in the near future I don't think :/
It took me 4 playthroughs to finally understand how Citadel layout works, where is the docking bays, citadel chambers, wards etc. It was all very confusing at first.
3:10 I also found it a little strange that after the harvest not a single Reaper paid attention to a "new little baby relay sticking out of the floor that's never been there in the first place"
After the harvest? At that time only Sovereign was around, and apparently it never checked on the Citadel. And why would it, the cycle has been going on for eons.
I mean hindsight is 20/20 but have to keep in mind that the reapers are colossal. They make a huge point of organic life being just a speck of dust to their cosmic winds. Things always get overlooked and ultimately someone has to know what it is they are looking for to find it.

Always thought it was a neat little detail that the Citadel Tower map resembles a Reaper.

so, the slanted elevator go through the girders connecting the arms and the ring of the citadel while the vertical elevator is the citadel tower
