Awry is the spice of British comedy, imo. I recall in comedy a streak of plans going horribly awry and the audience gets a good laugh out of it. This troup's expressions and the way they press on, no matter what has happened, is priceless. We used to do similar in the Episcopal church when I was in the kids choir. Everything that went awry during the staid services sent us into fits of laughter later. When I got older I played in a band at church. The drummer's chair was situated in front of a door which was not used. He had a habit of tipping it back to lean against the door when we weren't playing. This one morning, when he did so, the door opened wide and all we could see were his feet sticking up. Gratefully, he was ok. Another morning, he started snoring in that position while someone was talking. Hard to keep our expressions neutral in those conditions.
