His death was so shocking to me since the last time I saw that he was in fair health. I never knew of his other acting performances, but I’m sure Scott Wilson was an excellent actor in his own way. He was kind, he was decent, he risked his life to help others, he provided a father figure to the group, and like any decent father, he would do whatever it took to protect those whom he loved. Reminds me of my dad. Love that man, (my dad). He's the most important man in my life. And just as a word of advice to any young people reading this, treat your parents like GOLD while you have them.

SPOILERS: I didn't cry when the Governor sliced his neck, I cried because he was trying to get away, he wanted to live. He wanted to stay!... But then the governor finished him off, I cried for more than 10 minutes after that. I continued watching.. When Michonne found his head, and he was.. A zombie I criee once more. Hershal was the best character, Dale as well.
Dale was an prick but Hershel was the real McCoy! I was so angry that the governor killed my favorite character! I actually yelled at my TV saying "Kill him Rick!!!" Hershel is and will always be my favorite.
