First time here! I’m so glad to find your channel. I am working on simplifying my home now that 5 of our 10 children have moved on to homes of their own. I appreciate your tips. They are doable and will add nicer to the simple decor I am seeking for my home.
I have my grandparents' suitcases as well! I had been keeping clothes for my youngest daughter to grow into in them, but as she is getting older, I am starting to have empty suitcases. I love the idea of putting decorations in them. I even have one that is green. :) I know where the ornaments are going as they come off of the tree! :)
What a great idea using the vintage suitcases for storage, last year i decluttered all my Christmas decor. It was my 4th year of minimalism, and one of the last things left to declutter. I know have two rubber made containers, one has decor, and ornaments, the second rubber made contains tree skirt, stockings, nativity…. Christmas bags, tags, tissue paper… it’s wonderful to have everything all organized. Less is best for sure 🌲🎄🎄🌲🎄
Loverly storage ideas I did a big Christmas declutter last year as my daughter bought her first home and was glad for the Xmas decor, I’ve still got about 5 large see through ikea storage bags that I’m hoping to declutter further down to 3 or 4. Love the suitcase storage though. I’ve accumulated way too much decor & its quite over whelming so will start going through it again. It’s family & friends that matter most & memories not the excess Xmas decor. Your home is beautiful your tree looked gorgeous last year such a beautiful cottage. I’m learning a lot from your videos. I live in Europe, in my country Christmas it's more about be with the family, good food and have fun, people don't go overboard like Americans, generally we have one tree in the living room and some decor but we don't decorate the all house also people only decorate for Christmas and they don't go changing the decor every year, except the youtubers but they don't represent the reality. I have one tree and one bag of decor, and it's always the same pieces, I been collecting wood pieces since I was a teenager now I don't buy anything anymore.
