MÖRK BORG is easily the coolest RPG ever made in terms of aesthetic, at least in my opinion. My friends at Westfalia Miniatures created some original resin miniatures based of the wonderful art of MÖRK BORG and I was tasked with creating some terrain to suit them. What a blast! What an honour!

Fun fact. Mörk Borg literally translates into either: Dark Castle, Dark Keep or Dark Fortress. Depending on when and where.

Google Translate translates it to "Dark City". Not saying you are wrong at all, as all those translations are probably correct and GT isn't always accurate, I mean they are all pretty similar

Mork Borg is a breath of fresh air in TTRPG. Or maybe its a blistering sand storm of stale, dry, noxious fumes.
Unidentified goo seeping up from the ground in random places is one of the more upsetting things I've seen in a crafting video, definitely the right call for this setting.
Hearing Scott's laugh in the background from the latest Trapped Under Plastic podcast was great.
Their stupid ass gatorade conversation made me enjoy this even more! 😂
I have watched your videos for years to get inspiration making 40k terrain. I recently picked up Mork Borg because of the aesthetic. You nailed this. I'm so hyped
It really is inspiring. My son bought me the book - I don't even play RPGs anymore, but the atmosphere of the book inspired me to create doom metal music based on the lore of the game. And I plan on doing more.
The build ...amazing as always no surprise there. The real surprise... The banging music!

Man I love the vibe of this set. Looks freaking awesome! And I think the combination of Inks, Oil Washes, Dry Brush and some Highlights is the way to go on Terrain. It just blends everything together and dosn't distract from the minis too much.
Sound Track for this build was perfect.
Swamps have a special place in my heart, whether it's from watching Legend of Boggy Creek when I was too young, or being dragged through all sorts of terrain on family holidays while my parents, both Botanists, crawled along on their hands and knees looking at mosses and liverworts and left us children to be eaten alive by biting insects, or the swamp of sadness which was too upsetting for my young mind. I'm not saying I'm traumatised just forever linked on an emotional level
This whole set has a heavy Carcosa feel.

Sorry, I didn't know where to put this suggestion for your amazing creating terrain for TTRPG - Suggestion: "A Poisoner's Garden" - sections of terrain exhibit the toxic, poisonous, ugh of plants, herbs, flowers, fungus, tainted pools, etc. The sections of terrain could be placed together, create a "Garden of Death," with meander pathways, terrains used as "barriers."
RE: using tea as flocking. Some of the Celestial Seasonings herbal teas turn bright colors when you get them wet. The blueberry tea is purple. Orange Zinger is red.
There is a KS active at the moment called PIRATE BORG, its based on Mörk Borg.

Great to see the triangular farmsteads make an appearance. Just wanted to also say that though the music in your videos is usually really good (at least for my tastes), this week's was especially awesome!

@@tannergee because they were bright white, and would have lots of areas easy to miss while priming and painting.

When I was growing up in Virginia, we had a lot of old American Civil War grave yards all over the place. Some were elevated and had started eroding, having old bones and parts of caskets starting to slide out of the ground. I always thought that was super creepy. I want to do a swamp graveyard that has exposed skeleton parts and caskets partially exposed. This would be for an undead army I'm doing. You gave me some serious inspiration for that. Awesome. Thanks!

Ive seen people use grape stems from their bags of grapes once you eat the grapes they use the stem that's left, would make a cool creepy dead tree. Maybe coat it in glue or just paint it what ever floats your boat. That could make a cool piece!?

The color pop of white and yellow at the end really worked for me. Guessing the round structure we saw at the end was hags hut you mentioned in voice over but didn't show previously? Overall another inspiring video, and the music track totally fit the theme. Awesome job (as always!)

Great content! You should do a video about how you've used some of your minis and terrain in gaming. (Do you do more war gaming or RPGs now?) It would be great to see some time lapse of your table while you play with some narration to see how they hit the table!

Beautiful work again. But, can I just give a massive kudos to the sound editing this video? It's really well done and incredibly thematic for the material. I honestly found myself getting lost in the sounds you had going on. This video hits on another level.
For Mörk Borg, it would probably also have fit to leave it mostly black/white zenithal, and just add some stretches of vibrants yellow and maybe pink, similar to the book.

Your videos are the best. I have pretty bad adhd and I cycle trough my hobbies all the time and I haven't played anything table top in like 2 years(partly because of covid)but I watch every new video just because of how good they are.
Woah, woah, woah! I've been wanting to play Forbidden Psalm for a while now, and this might kick start my heart. (I build your swamp piece earlier, so that's the aesthetic I've been looking for!)
While I feel like the ruleset leaves something to be desired, I feel like you've captured the black metal aesthetic the game is going for. Two thumbs (and mugs of mead) up!
Rule set is probably a stretch, more like an art book.
People complain about the rules but honestly in practice it actually plays really well. I think people go in to every ttrpg expecting D&D even when that isn't anywhere close to what the game is trying to do
@@sebastianvazquez2242 I've played a bunch and every time my group has an absolute blast with it. It's easy to play which makes it easy to improvise and just go with whatever either fits the tone or is the most fun.

This is one of the most kick butt scenes ever. I can’t wait to see how a full swamp diorama landscape would tie in, especially with your lighting engineer experience, swamp water and swamp “creatures” would look alive. You really did a incredible job on this.

Oh, I must add, I bought some old Gobbo miniatures from Westfalia a few years back, absolutely awesome miniatures!
Also, after a few conversations with the folks behind the mini's they also sent my daughter a load of female warriors and wizards with fiery's to boot!

If you played Forbidden Psalm you'd have some great terrain for the game, not to mention some sick ass minis. The whole aesthetic looks great. Like a dark, grim fairie tale.

Some of those minis are truly weird, wonderful, and creepy. The Noble in the weird hat is a real stand out for me; it looks like a great place to start converting an Inquisitor character.
Watching the building going together was a bit like something from Skratchbashing; the way that everything went together roughly and organically, and produced a really cool finished model.
The upside down skeletons, and the paint job are very atmospheric.
That hand in the bloody cauldron was totally over the top - awesome!

This was a sick build. Been fascinated with Mork Borg for a while now. Finding out that they're doing minis for it is even more exciting. Been thinking about building an adventure based on songs by Ghost.
I'm going to give you a big thumbs up for the music selection in this video. In addition to your usual great content and creativity, your track list slayed this time around.

On a related note, I just came up with a neat idea. I'm not entirely sure how you'd make this sort of thing, but imagine a miniature or terrain or something painted in that CYMK-esqe style that the Mörk Borg gamebook is printed in. That'd be pretty sick, in my humble opinion.

Great Build, Jeremy. Very old school BMC vibe. The grimdarkyness with the magenta gives me a BMC v Dana Howl crossover vibe which is pretty rad too.

I never heard of Mork Borg before, but the minis look amazingly grotesque. They work great with your Village. I think putting it in a fetid bog was a great.

You never fail to impress me with what you do with ordinary objects and spares! The terrain pieces came out insanely awesome! Loving your work and can’t wait to see the next one!
