Something about blues and purples for the colours of rocks reminds me of old-school 80's He-Man. Please tell me this is the first step towards making Snake Mountain. Also the music you picked for this video reminds me of Thriller.

This is one of my favorite kinds of builds to see from you. I love that it's made with scraps, and yet the end result has so much personality. It really goes to show that we don't always have to make something that nobody has ever done before; a new execution on a basic idea can also be creatively satisfying and look fantastic too. Great job with this one!

Reminds me of glacial fields when in Alaska. Deep light and dark blues depending on the cloudiness and reflection of the sky. I build Fairy castles/Desert Camouflage type homes out of all natural materials I collect by hand. Excellent. Love em .

Prior to a wash, speckle browns, dark reds, blacks, and so on with a toothbrush bristle flick.
Pretty common for rocks to have several colors mixed into it. The wash mutes down the colors and ties the look together.
I know these are supposed to look otherworldly so wouldn't apply much.

Those are great. It's strange just how disquieting angular rocks can be. On Orkney, in Scotland, there are two large stone circles: Stenness, and Brodgar, both formed of angular, asymmetric rocks that tower over you. I visited some 30 years ago, and... And they were disturbing. I don't know why, but they were. And I wouldn't have camped there at night. There are also two prehistoric tombs on the Scottish mainland, Cairnholy I and II. The stones used in Cairnholy II are like a scream in stone, and very sinister indeed.
Great video, as always. Thank you.

Every few weeks it seems like I come across you talking about your kill team and the painting done for them or the sponsor of the week and that paint job. Rarely any longer does it seem you do a new build just for the sake of a new build. Even looking back at the last two big builds you did ( the sandstone/Egyptian ruins and the treetop encampment) were done as an accompaniment to the minis of that week.
When I started building my own stuff last year during lock down I watched a lot of your early stuff for inspiration, where a lot of it was floor tiles and buildings you did yourself instead of tweaking some kit from games workshop.
