As long as it's better than DW9 then it's fine. Hell even DW6 is better than 9.
Its like DW8 set the bar back where it deserves maybe higher and DW9 tried to bring back down to the core of the earth

Dynasty warriors 9 was terrible. Dynasty warriors 6 was the worst DW game before DW9. DW7 and DW8 are both amazing DW games.

Yeah DW9 removes one of the main points that has been features in Warriors games for nearly 2 decades then they will probably sells it back with high price. Knowing Koei they might.

When games have those amount of characters it's because there move sets are similar with maybe some slight animation differences.

What if KoeiTecmo make this a Warriors Orochi VS fighting game with 170+ or more characters,it will be insane. Maximillian will even try it and make warriors more popular in the west.
I hope Koei and Omega Force has done enough new to recommend this game, otherwise it's gonna be just another Warriors game... Regardless I'll be playing it

I’m gonna be straight up here: I’m extremely torn between whether or not I should get it. I’ve seen the trailers and I’ve watched reviews on it, but I simply can’t find definitive evidence for either.
On one hand, I really want it. I’ve played a bunch of the Warriors Orochi game and, for the most part, Samurai Warriors side of things and I absolutely in love with it.
But by the very same token, I am very much afraid that it’s gonna be like Dynasty Warriors 9, a series that I personally have never liked.

The Deification is honestly a bit of a trope... Only a handful of characters actually get it. How Guan Yu doesn't is mind boggling.

Game is awesome, a lot of Characters, cool Musou attacks, Brave warriors, and Lovely girls, also love new training system. No need to level every character alone. Tons of players and full action. Better than oldest games by a mile.
This is all about the Norse mythology power that makes everyone corrupted

One of the old games let you way back on xbox original I think, can't remember wich one but your combos were just exactly based on what weapon you chose from the main character lineup

Yeah only adding 5 characters to the lineup sounds very small considering thats only a 3% increase. I know they added other OP stuff but to only 7 of the available characters sounds like its not worth it to me.
It should also count the characters that weren't playable in 3 like Li Dian Yu Jin, Yue Jin and a few others

I really wish KT would bring the samurai warriors franchise back to the xb1. We're playing as Samurai warriors 4 characters just port the games over please!! Or at least make samurai warriors 2 and empires and extreme legend to the xb1 BC!!
I agree but it will likely not happen, not sure how long DW will even be around on the xbox. I myself have prepared and gotten a PS4, but I'm glad at least xbox only users will get to play around with the SW characters in this title.
I'm honestly surprised Dynasty Warriors has been on Xbox this whole time. I'm sure it doesn't really sell at all, but they keep doing it. Lol, might as well bring Samurai Warriors too if you're gonna do that.
dynasty warriors sells well on ps2,ps3,ps4,xbox,xbox360,xb1 and now pc. It doesn't do well on wii and okay on the psp. Samurai Warriors fanbase is small and it can grow bigger with a port to the xb1 and bringing the older SW2 to xb1 BC. KT is leaving tons of money by not doing this!!

when DW9 was released this game was already in development. most likely they didn't want to risk too much and only changed DW9 like they did for DW6

I'm really conflicted in getting this for the switch or ps4. I'm leaning towards the switch, but I don't want to sacrifice graphics, especially with the rumored Switch Pro next year coming out. Ugh...I think I'm getting it for the switch anyways.

This is kind of a soft reboot. I'm sure there will be references to past games, but I think you can play this one bc all characters are getting their memories wiped out as if the other games never happened

YingLong is Orochi's true form before he got corrupted and after orochi died in WO1 , in Wo2 he got revived by 2 peoples Himiko & kiomori taira and he was revived as OrochiX

After playing it, it feels smoother and more refined than 3 but there's something I just miss about wo3... Idk it feels like something is missing for me. Still a fun game and better than dw9. Anyone else feel this?????

There is no gauntlet mode. Probably will be in a year or 2 when wo4 ultimate comes out.

I have to say that the person from ign that made this review has failed do a lot of there info 8 deifying that includes lu bu, info on magic is bad , and the first part includes both the 3rd and the ultimate. Please for future reviews do a better job and not a short chopped half baked one.

Besides more and more OP as hell flourishing attacks, pretty much. Will remain as a guilty pleasure of mine, and a stress reliever. But I would hope to see at least more Hypothetical routes in the main titles, to give some type of new breath.

I have idea: A Musou game with light novel character from Dengeki Bunko and Isekai character.
1: Like Warriors orochi, you can switch 3 character, combo realationship attack with 3 character like Kirito,Black lotus and Graphite Edge.
2: 3 type character is Power, Defense and Speed: Power character has high attack and special abilities is combo attack like Ainz, Defense character has high defense and special abilities is not affect by normal attack when you attack like Iwatani Naofumi, Speed character has high speed and special abilities is double jump and fast attack like Kirito.
3: Story mode:
Chapter 1 will be story around meeting with two universe crossover.
Chapter 2 will be story around Ainz and his group again hero.
Chapter 3 will be story around Goblin Slayer attack hero because he want to kill Golbin in Ainz army like Susanoo in Warriors Orochi 3.
Chapter 4 will be final story with againt mastermind who cross two world and time.
Side story is story you can get character not in main story and only unlock when you clear some main story.
