80 yards and inside... I have a hard time adjusting to the different conditions and different strength of swing to get a controlled approach shot. I wish I can just confidently get up and down from 80 yards in. I almost feel more comfortable having a 100-125 yard approach.
fantastic video. Have been playing for around 25 years and have a 9HC. A great check on all set up aspects and one of the biggest improvements in my strike has come from altering my feet pressure at address from 50/50 to more like 60/40 favouring the lead foot. Have got back into the 70's again.
Absolutely brilliant easy and simple go to guide This will be the most saved video on golf and will be one that many will watch over and over when their swing goes wonky Great job and much appreciated. Cheers🍻
@@Gilesgillgolf bro I just went over to the park and hit about 80 balls and have never hit them as well Thank you and now I can teach the grand kids . Cheers 🍺🍻
Thanks for the video; would you add to this video: soling the iron properly and how soling the club affects the angle formed at the top of the left wrist and the top of the left thumb. The most important part of my game, that needs improvement, is hitting my approach shots, closer to the pin, with my 7, 8 and 9 irons and with my wedges. Also, I hit my 52 and 56 degree wedges too high.
Hi, enjoy watching your videos. Now do you grip tge club once you have setup with a small amount of tilt (right shoulder lower then the left) or grip then setup.
Hi everyone, which is the most important part for your game?

@@robjung2018 a lot of golfers are the same but I do have videos on wedge play so check them out as I simply those shots down
These fundamentals are key. Just watch your latest video where you talk about the setup but this is a whole new level. Thank you
They are! It’s the first thing you always need to check when things go wrong
Seriously one of three best videos out there. The ability to do this with no cuts is impressive. Perfect explanation. Love it mate
Thank you Andy!
Thank you for this! I love how systematic it all is. Has given me some great checkpoints to use
Glad it was helpful!

Brilliantly explained Giles cheers young man 👌🍻

Gonna practice this tomorrow. The way you explained initial setup and the checkpoints was really helpful.
Thank you! Hope it helped
The shoulder tip is the best for me
Awesome! Hope it helps

Excellent Summary. Really good information.
Glad it was helpful!
Hi. You are the best and top of all of those I saw. Well done keep up, I will keep following. Great, that's what I actually meant.
Thank you!
great info wanted to go back to basics after a bad round...
Smart choice!

Soling the iron should happen naturally and depends on arm length. The toe of the club will be off the ground slightly
The most difficult part of my game is learning to transition 2/3 of the way through my backswing and transferring to my downswing.
Got plenty of videos on that 👍🏻

Doesn’t matter 👍🏻
@Gilesgillgolf only if I grip then tilt the club face on irons point up same as my driver as your wrists tilt..
@@keithdownes2554 highlighting the issue is either your grip, arm positioning or the way you’re adding tilts
even when using long iron ball position is still the same ?
Yes, under lead ear/logo
Love ❤️ it
Thank you!
My shoulders thats why im always going left i think my front arm leaning left
Hope this helps you fix it
