That is called power assist steering. I have a 1967 Nova wagon and it also has that on there and let me tell you it's nothing like power steering at all it cuts so quick and so easy you can over steer in the blink of an eye. I'm almost thinking about taking mine off it's that bad. I have some extra parts that you might need because I went to an auction and they had all 67 nova wagon parts and I bought every single thing they had. I live in Southern Ohio I'm not sure exactly where you're from but I heard you mention Ohio.
Gotcha I've seen it on a 65 gmc c10 and my mom's cougar and the cougars call it ram assist. That's really cool you have a ton of parts I may have to get in touch with you, I'm in eastern Tennessee, I have a second 67 nova wagon I bought a year ago and that one is from Ohio so that's where you probably heard that, and this car unless I build a stock replacement version of it will have a aftermarket front clip to cut some weight out of it for racing
You'll have to run the numbers on the block, most likely a 283. That said, I do know that some 327s did get produced with powerpacks, just not sure what the application was. Regardless, 283s are great little motors when you spice them up a little. As for the car, definitely a bit rough but like you said, lots of good wagon parts that aren't re-popped. I haven't even started chasing wagon specific parts for my '65 wagon yet. Talk about pieces that will break the bank.
Yeah I was trying to see that and your right, while it doesn't really show it, they could have appeared with them. Like my 67 hardtop car has a 65 nova rear end in it, was it dealer warranty or spare parts from the factory? Who knows lol, and I found people on the forums selling that drip rail trim in the past and it looks like it's a 500 to 700 dollar piece, so right there it was worth it lol, it hurts my soul sometimes, also I've heard the Vega roof rack is similar size to the Nova Wagon if your looking for one of those, cause they are PRICEY lol
@@thedailymisfire that's a good tip on the Vega rack, hadn't considered one of those. I definitely want to add a rack to my wagon at some point. That drip rail pricing though, I'd just go without for those kind of dollars, so yeah, I'd say you got your monies worth in the parts car for sure.
Yeah I haven't tried to price a Vega one yet but it was another potential to make it a little easier, or it's sweet patina's setup haha, and it blew my mind when I saw that the other day, could literally have a free car if I wanted to sell it lol
Big Block Wagon! Ls swapped Jeep. So many ideas!
I know right!!!!
