Motortrend will not be producing new content, it will be reruns only after 2025. That is to maximize profitability in the short run before it is sold off. This happens all the time in cable TV. My guess is the channel will be sold off in 2026 or 2027. Maybe it comes back an automotive based TV channel, maybe not.

Like Joe said, they find something people like, and beat it to death. So many fake drama car shows on tv that nobody cares anymore. Which brings the next question, what’s happening to Bitchin rides, Texas Metal, and all those shows? I know the Canadian show got cancelled.

The '25 season of some of the shows are already made. Those new shows are as i understand it still planned to premier in '25. That's part of why some of the hosts tell people to keep their subscriptions going despite the news.
