i just went to their performance in The Hague. It was wonderful. I heard nature, i saw mountains and rivers, I could smell horses. The music that play makes you in a very gentle way surrender to the moment and to experience something magical.

And if bragging were the intended purpose, it could be a style of song involved historically in courtship. Something to let the bride's family know that she can depend on the man, and a chance for him to show whatever musical skill he possesses to impress the woman in question. Basically we don't know much about it. It's a different language, culture, and lifestyle. Why assume the worst you can imagine and enjoy the song less?

The grace and kindness shines out of these guys in a way that is Just beautiful

They certainly look Mongolian, but if from the central steppes of Asia, Mongolian or not, they all share very close external traits. Outside of their origin this music is absolutely marvelous, magical... before movies and books... I guess that is how most of mankind made sure to save their stories, fables, myths and knowledge... music. Beautiful, pure music made for survival and culture, not for billboards and profits.

@@gaborevolution I absolutely agree. There may be videogames one day that could be worthy of such music but we are very far away from that day. It's like suggesting playing this music in a McDonalds to listen to while eating a BigMac.
@@gaborevolution Elitist nonsense... Videogames are an artform like all others. Games like The Witcher 3 already use medieval Eastern European music to add to the atmosphere of their worlds.
It would be amazing to see a Mongolian/Turkic "Dynasty Warriors"-like game, where we get to learn more of the art & history of the region through gameplay.
