This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my TH-cam channel 6 months ago about self development. Now I have 447 subs and > 100 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

I agree that the energy around the Black man vs Black woman "gender war" is intentionally broadcasted and kept alive through social media in this part of history, but it has been kept alive up until now by oppressive socialization inside and outside of our own communities. I think unhealed and unaddressed traumas lend to it playing out in real life on the daily in Black relationships but far more silently than on SM platforms. My observations have led me to the conclusion that often times we show up to each other physically, because we share this unique experience of being "Black" and desire to share that more deeply in loving relationship. However, mentally, spiritually, emotionally we are battling trauma, racism, discrimination, abuse, depression etc and we bring that home, bring that into our interactions with are partners and children. I don't think in most cases it is intentional either. I believe most of us have not been equip with the knowledge or allotted the privilege to navigate the realities of life let alone romantic companionship outside of survival mode. We love each other, but don't know how to do so without damaging each other because no one else understands our journey as Black people. Black women love Black men. Black men love Black women. And deeply. And genuinely. The realities we desire to co-exist and thrive in exist within us. We make it come to fruition everyday!
