Honda has interesting normals. I especially like how DR + just about any light normal can link into 5HK. Also finally found a reason to reuse this avatar now with updated visuals ^^ recipe here >>

I’m so glad someone is doing these!
I'll be doing these for a while 😄 feel like I've only scratched the surface. Still have master styles I have yet to make videos on
That avatar just coming from another dimension.
cool design
not only do you entertain us with cool combos
but you continue to make weird and interesting avatar designs
cheers to you
Cheers friend!
2:19 precisely done!! :D can’t wait for akuma
That one was fun to put together!! I had to redo it several times bc I kept finding better ways to end the combo 😄
Only fitting how Honda style has the most corner-to-corner combos.
The massive hit stun of most of Honda’s normals is something people should absolutely be using more, so many specials that other styles normally can’t conform into with a punish counter or a drive rush enhanced hit whereas Honda style usually only needs one drive rush to net some good damage. Styles like his and ken are really strong in that regard and tend to have some of the best meterless damage around. Something I’ve been wanted to explore more is a build that lets you save DG for OD moves instead of drive rush. Avatar combos are cool but DAMN do they burn meter, especially if you’re going for style instead of damage. This video is probably going to be my jumping off point for Honda stuff in the future, maybe I’ll make him a grappler/bruiser style akin to sf5 Abigail.
If people made builds specifically to maximize the intricacies of Master style frame data with moves that take advantage of that (on top of meter efficiency), I'd spend a lot of time watching those
@@Raven_Quinn same. But sadly most builds these days are cheese builds, zoning builds, or just putting all of your skill slots for damage stuff instead of any of the interesting ones. Honda in particular suffers from having two of the most newbie trap moves in the game. Headbutt and slam are all people think the style is good for, to the point they just slap it on anything. Those moments when you run into someone who actually thought about a build and has developed their own flowchart feels sooooo good, it’s like you’re actually just playing modded street fighter instead of “wacky eldritch abomination with 2 clubs and 3 bonus counter hit damage skills does nothing but spam c.HP and leaves after you win once.” Stuff like that is why I’m losing steam with avatars : (
but who knows, akuma looks like he’ll have crazy potential for avatars, maybe people will actually take interest in the scene again. Imagine a mix of rashid/akuma and they just constantly mix you with air fireballs and double jumps? Can’t wait.
(Also I don’t have an issue with zoner builds but people need to understand that there is more to life than tribog + JP style)
@@Raven_Quinn oh, and while I’m on the topic, do you have a go to build you tend you use for avatar battles? I’m looking for some inspiration on fleshing out mine and hearing how others are and what their gameplay is would help.
@@technothewaffle9240 I ran avatar battles for a short while then realized it's not as fun as I was hoping. As you mentioned, it's more battling an abomination with random move sets than well thought out mixed sets. But my interest in the potential of avatar fights never faded. Given the fact that not only do avatars have more options with master style moves mixed around, avatars also have more freedom with juggle properties. There's a lot to explore that's not being explored enough!
As far my go to at the time, I had a flashy / functional Kim style setup. I found early on her 6HK can juggle from MP charged flash knuckle the wall bounce meter less and I thought of ways to make it work. It did have the condition that the avatar has to be a certain smaller size for the combo to confirm consistently though.
I experimented with this interaction on episode 20 😄
@@Raven_Quinn so that’s where it come from? Interesting. I definitely need to give your other videos a watch it seems.
As for that first part, if you’re interested, we could run some sets with avatars. Been looking for someone I could test setups with.
Honda's normals seem crazy for this. Kinda makes me wanna try avatar battles more tbh
Some people like me just like making builds for fun, optimal or not lol I have a small group of avatar combo friends that like to explore and chat about interest interactions or combinations avatars can do
@@Raven_Quinn good on you and your group tbh. It seems super fun even to just experiment. And hey, if you manage to find something optimal, thats just bonus right?
@@kitstellar thanks ! periodically I'll run into some optimal interactions. That'd be a whole separate series of content to explore
This is awesome
0:34 and 1:25 looked like goddamn Mahvel combos
Bro was the inspiration for your character Furious Rajang?
I can see that lol it was mostly just whatever looked cool put together at the time. I remember I was looking at Bloody Roar stuff around when I made the first version of this and I was seeing if I could do something similar to Uranus' beast form
Avatar battles are the most toxic thing in Street Fighter 6 and I try to have as little to do with them as physically possible.
It's definitely not for everyone (me included), but I do enjoy exploring the endless possibilities of avatar combos for fun 🙂 not always practical but fun to see
where the hell did you get that fit??
It's custom accessories placement ^^ I reworked the size and position of the two sets of face masks to make the face. The big back spike is just oversized horns clipped to the torso. The face had to be really disfigured to make the look of the head fit the way it does, I linked the recipe in the pinned comment so you can see how the he looks with the gear
@@Raven_Quinn Thanks!! I didn't know we could do this. I gotta experiment
@@The_Backman Yw! It's one of those not very well explained aspects in World Tour. It does indeed open up A LOT of possibilities ^^
Why don't they hire some of you guys to make us cool azz games
