- In the 1930s Stadium a well known motoring accessory brand released the Continental Style folding bar end Mirrors. Over the years sometimes under different brand names this product has become an Icon as the best motorcycle mirror ever produced. Stadium have now re- issued this iconic product, and it is available for the Royal Enfield models, Classic 350 Reborn, 350 Meteor, 650 Super Meteor and 650 Interceptor!

I remember Stadium helmets but my first was a Griffin Clubman. I sat wearing it whilst watching TV for some reason & was concerned that the visor was blurred. No-one told me it had a protective film on it!
Perfect for modern tv I’d say!

What a HUGE difference in style. The Classic 350 is now my favorite bike. You can most anywhere on it in”Style”.

Ah, the memories. I had one on my Laverda 3CE and Jota 180 of the late 70's and 80's. A great product.

I've recently found the left hand redundant mirror thread is very handy for a ram ball to mount an action camera on !
Finally got mine sent over and fitted…absolutely night and day in terms of looks, feel and more importantly, safety. 100% recommended.

Installed a set of these beauties on my Nuovo Falcone militare to clear the fairing. Bonus being they work so well with next to zero vibration obscuring the view.
You're correct Stu, these mirrors were a common fitting, certainly in the sixties. baring in mind mirrors were not a standard fitting on motorcycles, not until the Japanese arrived. l fitted the 'rectangular version' to my Ariel Arrow, only the off side. They did use the expanding mandrel, plus the arm was aluminium alloy not steel...The Stadium 'Jet' , along with Kangol were a common up-grade from the 'pudding basin' type... l believe they were moulded in fibreglass and were a major influence for wearing a crash helmet. i've seen a vintage Stadium project 4 for sale for 145 dollars.... probably well past its sell by date as a safety item....

I bought them for my classic 350 soon after ride home from dealer love um . Looks great finishes the classic look of the bike and mine don't vibrate like the factory ones nice clear view. Thank you for the videos
When I had my old RE Bullet 500 4sp took the micky mouse mirrors off that too
I have the halcyon round bar end mirrors on my interceptor. I've done a lot of modifications to my interceptor, and this has probably gotta be one of my favourites. Waaay better visibility, and looks really cool.
Had Halycon mirrors on my Interceptor for some time now and I do remember having to wait some time to get them but I thought that was due to getting the black chrome version of the 803’s . Anyway the best style mirrors for the modern classic bike and give awesome view of everything behind you.
My first helmet was a orange colour stadium too, I got a longer off road style white skip on it to match my trail 50 Gilera
I just put a pair on my Bullet 500. Wonderful clarity.

But its handy to know the old style Stadiums are aroumd Had a pair of the mk 9 double glazed goggles for many years.

I’ve had several pair of Halcyon plate glass goggles, and they’ve been excellent. Haven’t been able to get my hands on a set of bar end mirrors…
I love the way they retract for more compact storage.
Now if I could get them for a W800 cafe, I would hand my wallet over right now. Those look and move the way they should be made. And the box design, as an artist, spot on! Happy humpday, to you Stuart .
It's worth investigating. The expanding mandrel might work fine for you, or a machine shop will easily whip you up some adaptors
I have the Halcyons on my 2021 500. It turned out Halcyon couldn’t provide the adaptors. Spoke to Hitchcocks who now only carry the Stadiums but they were able to separately sell me their adaptors which fitted perfectly. As for the mirror blanking screws, I found a guy making some up from 9mm casings and they look fantastic on the bike.
Morning Stu. Another good video. I have a pair of Halcyon rectangular mirrors fitted to my 59 Matchless. Super mirrors. Can’t get them tight enough to stop them turning in the handlebars but that’s a small problem. The poor old girl shakes, rattles and rolls so much over 50mph, you can’t anything anyway. Lol. I won’t be changing the OEM mirrors on my Interceptor though. Think they’re the best mirrors I’ve had.

I like em Stu. The standard mirrors on the Classic 350 vibrate quite a bit even though the bike itself doesn't 🤷♂️. My shed has a limited opening so other bar end mirrors won't fit through. These might be the answer 👍

Hi Stu, bought a set. But rounded the bolt heads trying to get the origional bolts out. Very soft metal and dead tight. May have to drill them out. Unfortunately not a quick job. Mirrors are great though

I have been looking for these mirrors for almost 3 years now and these are not available here in india and buying them overseas is way too costly because of custom duties. These look gorgeous and that seat cover on the old model is just melting my heart. ❤
Morning Stuart. As ever a very informative video. I purchased the Halcyon mirrors for my Classic 500 ( which I have now sold and got the Classic 350 reborn) the Halcyons fit on the 350 but there is only room for the screw, no end
plate etc. Do either you or any of your subscribers have any ideas re this. Seems a shame to waste a perfectly good set of mirrors. Thanks again for your excellent channel.
I remember these mirrors when the English bikes were common here in the USA. I wonder if they vibrate too much with the loose fitting shown so they can be adjusted. ? 😊 Great clearly photographed video and straight forward narration. The accent also sounds great to the Anglophiles out here. 😂

If I were intending to keep my Classic 350 ReBorn, I’d add these. I find I just don’t use the bike and where I live and ride, it’s just too slow. I bought that knowing it’s performance and I have enjoyed having it, I’m just not using it sadly. I have too many old bikes that take up space, I don’t want a new one doing the same. Great video Stu.

Thank you for making another informative and well produced video Stuart. I have a question hopefully you can answer. I saw a review for these mirrors in the Stadium Accessories website claiming that they have an issue: Although they have been designed to fit both the left and right handlebar, the ratchet angles are not mirrored, so the reviewer said that on his bike they always look asymmetrical.
Granted the review was for the hollow 7/8″ version of the mirrors but I would imagine the ratchet arm mechanism is the same for all versions. Needless to say I found it surprising to read that review, as it would seem like a serious manufacturing oversight for an otherwise premium item, and I suspect there might be something off about the way the reviewer installed his mirrors. But I thought I'd ask if you've noticed any slight asymmetry?
Great mirrors, no vibration when riding, no mirror stalks in you view. What more could you want.
This was the first thing I did after I picked up my classic 350, those stock "Mickey Mouse" mirrors had to go! I just put one stadium round mirror on my left side (we ride on the "normal" side of the road here). What a big difference a simple mirror change can make on these bikes. The factory bar end options just look too modern for this style of bike, you can't go wrong adding these if you're trying to keep the bike retro looking. I've since made a ton of mod's, but the stadium bar end mirror was one of my favorite. Oh, and they work great too!

I broke a mirror on one of my non round Halcyon’s. Was unable to find replacement mirror and I’m too cheap to buy a complete unit. I did some trial and error glass cutting and shaping to repair. Now I have one mirror that makes the traffic look many meters away while the other side appears to be tailgating. Yet another instance of a perceived easy DIY being more complicated.

Ah, yes, stadium was my first helmet, full face and pretty heavy if I remember, compared to today’s standard anyway 🙂.
It went well with my donkey jacket! 😄. It was all I could afford at the time, gradually getting new kit with the help of dad.
I'm jealous that you are wearing a coat and here where I am the temperature is around 105 degrees. Enough complaining, really enjoyed your video.

I just replaced the cheap China bar end mirrors on my INT 650 with the Stadium . the China product chrome plated pot medal was degraded and pitting after 12 moths of service. I was very pleased to see this quality product at Hitchcocks for only 80 dollars US for a set. what a no brainer!

I finally got these instead of the Halcyons , quite nicely made indeed . Good see a review on these , and the fact that quality is no different to the Halcyons pleases me !
However there is a gap in between the bar end and mirror base that fits onto that bar end . Yours seem to have a nice snug fit . Would apprecate any suggestions , thanks .

Stock Enfield mirrors offer an excellent view of your shoulders, but nothing within 30 yards of the tail light. These mirrors look just the job. Need a re-imagined Stadium Project 4 helmet and bubble visor and I'm back in my youth.
will any of these be compatible with the newly launched Triumph Speed 400 ?
(Also based on your experience & expertise, do you think these will look better than the OEM ones - both standard & accessory ones ??)

So, on mine, the idiots used far too much loctite and I cant get em to budge. Once I did, the bolt sheered. The metal is too soft for loctite.I wanna kick whoever put these on square in the nut sack!!!
