I always thought SM was one of the worst K-POP companies out there. TS really said "Hold my beer" with this one. I'm happy the artists are all doing well and hopefully being paid much better now.

I still remember getting the allkpop notification when all of BAP contracts finally ended. Sitting in my car before work cheering like crazy because they were finally freeeeee!!! 😆😩😆

On the topic of bad companies, have you heard of Open World Entertainment? They had groups such as Dae Guk Nam Ah (The Boss) and X-5, and solo artists like Jun Jin of Shinhwa. Their company closed down after the CEO was arrested for rape, sexual harassment, and assault of female singers and trainees. (Also, side note: I mentioned this in a comment on another one of your videos, but if you ever need a video idea, it’d be cool to see a video about Dae Guk Nam Ah. 👀 They’re very talented and I feel like they didn’t get the recognition they deserved. Eventually they mostly promoted in Japan. Two members left in recent years and now it seems the members all focus on their lives/ careers).

I just want to say thank you for covering this! I am glad more people are realizing how awful TSHIT was. It was a whole mess and I’m so glad all the groups were freed from that hell. Somebody else mentioned the relief they felt when BAP and other groups announced their contracts were over and YES ABSOLUTELY. I broke down when i heard the news. I was so happy! I knew I’d never get my fave groups back but that was better than them being stuck in that company. I am forever mad about BAP bc they could have been the biggest kpop group if TS had done better but its alright. Now im just hoping for a reunion!!
I remember going through TRCNG’s profile and when I saw “the other 8 members’ parents filed lawsuits against them” i was like gurl whaaaaat
As a BAP stan I’ve always known how bad TS was but seeing all put together like this, wow TS was way worse than I thought. Props to you to being able to put all this together, 50 pages that was a lot! A very detailed and well studied research i would say👍 i wish i was as enthusiastic completing my degree research thesis lol
You should do a video on PLEDIS next. They are a pretty sketchy company, def not as bad as TS but they're still on the list of the worst.

the fact trcng just disbanded lately, over a year after the shut down, shows how messed up the company still was after its shutdown
From what I can tell, TS was likely undergoing bankruptcy proceedings, which typically takes a few months. So even though the proceedings began in January, it would've only concluded in mid to late 2021.
I always hear about SM Entertainment being a terrible company. Could you please make a video covering SM?
TBH I think SM used to be more horrible before laws got stricter, so they couldn't use slave contracts and abuse their idols as much. It's a lot better now, IMO.

I wonder how the managment were allowed to act so arrogant and blatantly mistreat their idols. People say the CEO wasn't so bad, but he was an incompetent idiot too. How can you own a company and not protect your artists, who are your most valuable employees, knowing that they will sue you if you abuse them in all sorts of ways and refuse to pay them on top of that????? That's so pathetic. I feel zero sympathy for the CEO and hope he rots in hell.
Duh, then why the artist and staff didn't held grudge against him? Even Sleepy respected him and calling out TS for tarnishing the CEO's name

Hey, If you,re planning on covering more shady kpop companies, i would recomend looking into CCM/MBK Entertainment. I don,t know much about their boygroups, but they,ve debuted 8 girlgroups, and only the ones who were able to go independent survived that company lol
You did pretty well considering how messy everything is with this one! I would really enjoy it if you made a series out of this since Chaennie Lisoo seemingly stopped her TH-cam-activity. The topic is far to important to not be talked about. I have a few ideas about that:
How YG ruined their own groups (mismanagement and favouritism)
How Chrome Entertainment failed their Idols (promoting and mistreatment)
How DR Music mismanaged their idols (mismanagement obliviously)
How SS Entertainment mistreated their idols (mismanagement and no paying)
How WinningInSight M physically abused their idols (mistreatment obliviously)
How DSP Media mismanaged their Idols (mismanagement)

Smaller companies have less funds and resources so the idols signed to smaller companies suffer the most. I'm glad that company is gone but so many labels abuse their artists and I wish they would speak up but they are afraid.

Pls tell me if i'm wrong, but Hyosung isn't one of Netflix kdrama "Celebrity" villains? If it's her, OMG good for her, she looked amazing. Ji Eun is dating a youtuber, she looks happy. It's terrible that these artists had to suffer so much, fighting for their carreers and payments everyday, they already work so hard for so long and still have to endure horrible bosses and pathetic conditions to fullfil their dreams and reach success. TS staff didn't help "torturing" them more, i understand the difficulty of the situation but messing other peoples minds isn't okay at all. You should not weight your pressure on someone else. I'm glad that everybody found their way out, isn't a happy ending after so many bad things, but tecnically it is a good ending because they can focus on what's really matters: their aspirations, passions and, of course, themselves. For the matter, B.A.P "Body & Soul" and "SONAMOO'S "Sugar Baby" are some of my fav bop's of all time! Anyway, great video, Ploopy, thank you!

TS was just a product of the kpop industry. No different than any other company or agency that has its share of mistreatment, abuse And predatory tactics to their talent and staff.
The only thing that sets them apart from other people is that they went broke. SM, YG and JYP Could have the same amount of lawsuits and bad press and they would not lose a dime or go bankrupt. You have to be the lowest of the low to literally bully children and of their money just to Put food on YOUR table as the social media geek.
Maybe they wouldn't have lost so much money if they weren't too busy suing all their stars after the fights were over.
What an awful company ran by bullies and sick individuals. But then again, there's other companies that do the same thing. The only difference is they're not bleeding money like a stuck pig.
I highly believe that CEO Tae Song committed due to the absolute stress and pressure he was receiving. Unlike the other CEO’s; he actually had pure intentions but he failed to live up to the hype of most of his decisions.
TS’s absurdly large ego despite being a small company sure was something else.
Their company was already facing late to underpayment allegations, debts, broken down dorms, contractual lawsuits- you name it, and what do they waste their money on?
Trying to sue ex-staff for contract breaches even though they were already terminated or suspended. Sounds about right. Their genius is truly frightening, /s.
I remember vaguely seeing the stuff about TRCNG being abused from the sidelines but had no idea they were from TS. Now it all makes sense.
