I never doubted that Salah is one of the greatest PL players of all time.
He had a particularly good season that maybe set the bar too high, but he is a consistent hard working player. With great technical and physical attributes, you don't see that everyday.

3:49 Hazard even said recently when he was asked who was better him or Salah, he said Salah. It's incredible what he's done for Liverpool, when we were at our worst he would often drag us to points, which allowed us to stay in contention with city.

Salah has changed throughout the years. He started at Liverpool as probably top 2~3 counter-attacking player in the world. Every single corner against Liverpool was a scoring chance... for Liverpool. His physicality, the ability to hold the ball under pressure, the change in direction, the bangers dribbling 3~4 players. Then around 29-30 he changed a bit. He still is fast, but not as much. To counter that lack of speed, he basically upgraded his game and became an absurd playmaker. The amount of chances he can create while staying wide is crazy.
He is also a far better player technically compared to 17/18. He can still score 20+ goals a season easily, but the quality of his passes and his vision now are basically a massive asset. I love how this transition went super smooth. He has become a complete attacker and can do basically anything on any phase of the game. He can score, assist, defend, counter, is a huge match winner and has that ability to score or assist even when he is playing bad.
After Firmino and Mané left, all the pressure was on his shoulders and he did excellent.
That last part is key. When the rest of that core or Klopps initial team left he was one of the few key carry over players. He shouldered that responsibility and while last season the reds were down compared to their high standards he still was the stand out player for them.

Salah is also tied with Henry for assists at 74. With 6 more he becomes one of only 3 players in the top 10 of career goals AND assists, along with Rooney and Lampard.
Remember Salah has afcon every second year and until Haaland was very much in contention for the golden boot every year
I think anyone who watches the sport puts Salah as one of the best footballers of the last decade, definitely comparable to Neymar career wise. Also miles clear of Hazard, not even debatable at this point. I'm a United fan, so it does sting to praise a Liverpool player

i remember near the end of his first season, salah was 1-on-1 with the keeper and missed. but we were so used to him scoring that the minute the ball went around the post, NBC ran the goal graphic and gave liverpool the goal.
then they realized he missed and had to change the score back to 0-0 😂

I’m no Liverpool fan (in fact I’m a saints fan - don’t go there). But Salah is one of the greatest of all time in the Prem and Europe. I’ve acknowledged that for 2 years now. He deserves an Afcon trophy and another PL. Salah is really the pharaoh of the PL! It’s time to give him his roses as much as Vardy or KDB
He's just so consistent. When he doesn't start, it just feels like Liverpool are missing a key piece to the puzzle. I'll be heartbroken when he eventually leaves (which I worry will be sooner rather than later)

There is no right winger this century I would rather have as a Liverpool fan. He has been severely underrated throughout his time at the club.
He gets so many goals, but I think his playmaking ability is overlooked too. He has mastered the trivela, and he can see the passes you think can only be seen from the TV camera angle.

As a huge premier league fan (also chelsea fan) I agree. I would even put Salah in all time prem XI. Yet do a double check about Hazards consistency, cause that shit was crazy. Salah on the other hand has games where you can't find him anywhere. Do check player scores match by match...
Mo Salah has always been a great player! He awesome at Basel, which is why Chelsea signed him! I'm sure he had a decent loan spell at Fiorentina, which is why Roma signed him! He had a great spell at Roma, which is why Liverpool signed him! And then he became a legend! Chelsea was just the wrong club for him, (and about 350 other good players who have been wasted by signing for Chelsea)!!
Salah played 13 games in 1.5 seasons for Chelsea. Mourinho hated young players. Mo was very good on loan in Serie A from Chelsea
As a Roma fan, it pains me that Salah was sold at a discount since we had to meet FFP. He was so much better than his g/a total at Roma due to be played as a pure winger. Dude is so good.

Not just that but if Courtois doesn't make one of the five greatest saves I've ever seen he'd have goals in multiple UCL finals AND scored multiple braces and hat tricks against Utd, City, etc
There is simply no way you can say he wasn't good at Chelsea, he wasn't given a chance at Chelsea, like KDB.
If Salah had joined city (and found this sort of level) in 2017, City would have 7 straight Premier Leagues and 4 straight UCLs. He would be seen as unquestionably the best winger in Premier League history. That of course didn’t happen.

Hazard was a wonderkid and was consistently brilliant(bar one season) for almost a decade before joining Real Madrid and Salah peaked late, so I think its fairly debateable who is better. This generation also has guys like Neymar and Bale and they're all a similar age and they are clear of Salah and Hazard, purely because of how high their peaks were.

I think the reason Hazard and Salah are compared so much is that Hazard is "Barclays baller" and that nostalgia makes people believe hazard was world class every time he was on the pitch (no disrespect to Hazard up there with one of the best wingers of our generation) but salah's records are incomparable to Hazard's
They're very different types of wingers and G/A doesn't encapsulate the sheer brilliance Hazard brought to a game and he did that consistently brilliant since being a wonderkid until he went to Real and fell apart. There's a reason he became Real Madrids record signing and its because he was consistently world class. I think you could make a case for each player, it probably comes down to player preference.
