I subscribed as well! I like how you address stigmas about beard styling with a positive attitude and simple logic. I do get strange looks sometimes when people hear I blow dry my beard but it's well worth the final product. Keep up the good work with the videos!
Great Video! Yeah, I think you and Greg have a similar beard texture. As do I. Looking forward to your mustache video. I always have a hard time getting my mustache to be detached from my beard. Also, glad to see many others jumping on board your channel.
Thanks Kevin. I had a few issues with moustache/beard separation to begin with, but somehow that all resolved itself after just a few days. For me it is as if the beard hair is of a different texture, rather finer, so very easy to tell the difference. I do however have issues with that round brush. I keep catching the beard with it when I am blow drying the moustache. Heigh Ho...
Earl Greybeard To help with the hair catching in the round brush I found it's better to have a single gentle pass and let it blow dry in place with the brush holding it rather than multiple small passes with the brush. I start with one side and lift the hair into place with the brush and don't move it until it's dry (only takes a moment). Repeating for the other side and the front. There's less pulling this way and consequently less hair loss. Hope this helps!
Thanks Kyle. That is really helpful. I have been working on this. I now tend to use a big-toothed flat top comb most of the time, drying the moustache with my thumb and second finger. I still use the round brush sometimes to finish off, and the 'single pass' idea is definitely a good one. I also found for some reason that having the brush handle facing back over the shoulder (at least when drying the sides) reduces the risk of getting the brush tangled in the beard.
Excellent video sir, I have subscribed! Your beard grows in waves very similar to mine. I have never used a hairdryer before but your results have persuaded me to try. Looking forward to following your progress as I am at a similar stage of growth.
Beard is fine. Missed my trim in London though. Had a 'senior railcard' moment. Left it at home, so couldn't get on the train. So, now scheduled for late October. I am a bit snowed under with musical stuff just now. I have a lot of videos to make, but I am quite fussy about doing them well. So, apologies for the recent gap in releases. Best wishes.
PS. I am away on holiday until Sunday 30th July, so apologies in advance if I take a while to respond to any comments. Thanks.

You are the best of the best. Amazing beard style!
Thank-you :o)

I use a dryer everyday on my beard , medium heat . I keep the dryer a fair distance from my hair , i point it down and brush with my fingers ,
Hi Ian. That's pretty much what I do now, though I use a round brush on the beard and fingers only on the moustache. Seems to work well.

Thanks Michael. We seem to have a group of us at much the same stage, travelling along together.
4:36 flips off the critics of blown drying a beard.
How soon till your next video? Still optimistic about your goal?
