Even though his father survived its nearly impossible not to relive the helplessness of believing/ knowing that a person you love is dying and trying to let them go in peace when everything in you is begging them to stay.
And ofc the inevitable has only been postponed. No-one lives forever. They, like most people, are going to have to go through it for real, and sooner rather than later.
Regardless of a man’s age they will always tell you how much their dad means. I’m lucky that my dad is still alive but I’ve never met his dad, my grandad and I can’t imagine how my dads life was growing up without a father figure. My dad is incredible and I couldn’t ask for a better one. I love him
