I hit pause so I can type this after the first five seconds of this post. It is spiritually uplifting to hear a person who has passion and compassion. Aaron is the first fragrance professional I have ever subscribed to. I enjoy learning about fragrances, but I enjoy the presence of a beautiful spirit far more than that. I am now determined to have an amazing day here in the heart of Kansas. It never ceases to amaze me how people can positively affect strangers halfway around the world. All the best!
I love this! Reminds me of when I was young. My mom used to go to tan in a sunbed place. She would go fairly frequently and my sister and I would tag along. While she was tanning we’d walk around the place, chat with the associate and have fun. The place smelled EXACTLY like Metallique and it’s amazing. It always brings me back to that time.
I have a sample and I love the dry down! It’s beautiful on my skin after about an hour and it last all day. I get tons of compliments on it. I’m actually going to buy the 50ml bottle. On me it becomes a powdery light vanilla which I love! ❤
When I’m on the fence about a fragrance, I come here for Aaron to be the tie breaker. I don’t have the ability to go out a sniff a bunch so I tend to blind buy. Thank you for your honesty. I’ve loved all my blind buys so far.
Always love an Aaron review, and always have a number of his fragrances on our bathroom shelf. Lotsa good elements to the review, but my personal fave is always when he dives into a wordy description, pauses, has a semi eye roll, then dismisses it with a hint of contempt before moving on. Just a beautiful moment and I love him for it. No messing no fuss just getting on with the business at hand. Priceless.
@@johnblonde8589 Not overestimating your collection size...ruining just one bottle in the bathroom is enough of a reason for me to avoid storing them in mine
I love Metallique, however the one downside is the lack of lasting power. It smells expensive, feminine & sophisticated. The one scent where I have backup bottles.
Metallique is one of 2 from the house of Tom Ford that I like. The other one is F Fabulous. Both of them smell amazing on me. I haven't found anything else he makes that I want to smell.
Glad you started this regarding marketing on men and woman. I was in a store day. Tried on/sniffed various Tom Fords, Aqua Di Parma. I’m a 44 year old bloke, and this was by far my favourite. So much so I’m trying to get my hands on some, loved it, however don’t want to pay full ticket. My lady also liked it on me.. win win.
Aaron, I have been through the gambit with reviews and whom I trust. It’s clear that you are not only an excellent reviewer you are a master perfumer. That being said, I wouldn't say I like this fragrance. I only watched this video to see if you felt the same, and I feel like you do, but you are a professional and a good human, so you explained this with professionalism and maturity. Thank you for being so awesome. I can’t wait to purchase your work!
I'm a guy and I bought this because I liked it so much. It's very unisex. If you don't want to pay full price just wait for the annual sales. TF does put their fragrances on sale 2-3 times a year.
I smelled this just yesterday and on strip it was real nice. Sprayed my hand and was like what happened. Dried down as i was talking to the employee and loved it. He gave me a sample of it, real nice guy at saks in the Galleria in houston
You should review all the Tom Ford fragrances. :D I would happy to see the London and Vanille Fatale reviews. And also the two new fragrances: Cherry Smoke and Eletric Cherry.

I'm always hoping you'll read all of the packaging; in part because I know you often find it silly, and I therefore enjoy you trying to tolerate it for the rest of us. ;) Secondly, I am going to look for the soonest occasion I possibly can to use the word "cacophony" in conversation. I couldn’t agree more with the beginning of the video. I was in a department store a week ago and i was trying some acqua di parma fragrances. Right off the bat i loved the sakura i thought it was drop dead gorgeous. Unfortunately after they told me it was a feminine fragrance it kind of killed it for me.

This has gone stratospheric in price with little to no justification. There is not a chance this is worth it to me at what they're asking for these days...I'd much rather support proper indie houses such as Aaron's own.
We have to consider the global drop in testosterone in men and also women when we think about who likes masculine and feminine notes. Men who are increasingly not being men anymore, of course they are not gonna like masculine notes. Because they are not actually men.

Get them out of the bathroom. Fluctuations in temperature drastically reduce their shelf life...

The prices are so high because Este Lauder is trying to get the money back they paid Tom Ford for the brand.

I loved this when I tried it. Didn't even know it was marketed for women until recently. Would definitely wear this as a guy.
I mix metalique with ombré leather and girls love it and bring other girls to smell me at “dance” clubs

My wife has this and I struggle to smell it for some reason. Some can smell it really strongly but for some reason I can't
