Nobody, and I mean *NOBODY* should ever die of an allergic reaction, or anaphylactic shock. In early 2020 prior to the horrible COVID pandemic, I had a sinus infection and was put on amoxicillin (an antibiotic), which I had no problems with in the past. One morning I had taken the amoxicillin with my other medications in the morning and my hands began to itch. Then I broke out with hives from head to toe all over my body, so when my mom saw the hives, she rushed me to the emergency room. When I was taken into the room (which looked like a typical doctor's office room), the nurse told me to let any staff know if I had any signs of anaphylaxis...which, thankfully, I didn't have. As it turned out, I suffered an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin I was taking, so the doctors took me off the amoxicillin. Now I'm afraid I might have an allergic reaction to penicillin!
My son had the same reaction as you to Amoxicillin, delayed reaction on the very last dose on day TEN! Don’t ever take another drug with ‘cillin’ in the name! He has had 2 other reactions to drugs since, one to Ibuprofen last night (which he had been taking for almost a week due to a broken arm). The other was Rocephin years earlier. He has taken Amox and Ibuprofen many times prior. I’m trying to learn more myself. He has never been prescribed an epipen due to “mild reactions.”

it’s a little weird that despite knowing he had an allergy they did not have an epi pen nor did they take him to the hospital after he ate the nuts. i couldn’t imagine leaving my child to let an allergic reaction “pass”.
The majority of the time, doctors do not prescribe Epipens for mild allergies. But in situations like this, the patient's allergy can become more severe over time. I think everyone should have an Epipen if they have an allergy, mild or not.
I think many times what we call an allergie is actually a buildup of things that on a micro scale is needed or at least tolerated in the body but in larger amounts are toxic or deadly . I started having a reaction to eggs and onions after eating egg sandwiches every single day for years , and I became so sensitive that I almost died from not being able to breathe from a very small amount . But I did an elimination diet to figure it out and by not eating that for several years have become much less sensitive ! I think the culprit was a buildup of sulfur . I just wanted to let people know that there sensitivity , maybe reversable , by eliminating the rite foods !
This is why i am not a fan of the whole desensitization program people have ben telling me about. Even in minute amounts it can become fatal for those with allergies. Im sorry this happened to your family. This jist goes to show that even in small amounts its not okay.
I end up on this video because two out of 3 of my kids have allergic reactions. One child has mild reaction to almost everything and one severe reaction to shellfish while the other child is allergic bananas and molds, they both have epipens. Now as you can imagine my concerns as a mother of two kids with these life threatening issues. I have experienced several trip to the hospital for my first child who seems to be reacting to everything/unknown.... its stressing me out not knowing 😫 when to use the epipen. Then there are issues with doctors instructions when I should or should not use the epipen. The last episode of reaction he experienced his lips, face and inside his cheeks were swollen and he complained of grainy feeling in his throat which i later found out grainy means "swelling" plus he had hives all over his body and this was not the first time however the reaction before this I was told I did the right thing by not administering the epipen. The only difference with this time and the reaction"S" before was the grainy feeling/swelling in his throat and the swelling inside his cheek. After taking him to the hospital this time i was told I could of given him the epipen. My second child doesn't have hives but he throws up (vomit alot) and complain of pain in the stomach like the child in this video. I'm so worried and confused about when is the right time to give epipen!!!
So sorry about it . Everything will be ok. Enjoy them and don't worry so much. Write a list what time they had their reactions , environment what they ate that particular day, it will help you. Have EpiPen at all times. And always inform them of their condition. Also trust your instinct... Mothers always know better
I can relate to your situation. Well, progress will come one day but you have to work hard. What I recommend - keeping a strict diet for at least couple of years, hoovering and dusting you house every day, eliminating all chemicals (washing-up liquids etc) and switching to natural shampoos, detergents, creams. No perfume in the house, no smoking and no oils. That's a very hard work but it really helps.
My child has an epipen and other medication for emergencies too and it's been so bad 3 times we called an ambulance. I was also hesitant about the epipen and haven't used it yet, however when it's so severe like you discribed I think giving the epipen is the best choice!! You can't do much harm, you can only save your child. In our case we used fenistil (I don't know the word in English) and cortisol. After these incidents I am so hyper aware of everything he eats and totally scared about sending him to kindergarten soon. Much love
my 7 year old with no nut allergy suddenly got an allergic reaction to a cookie we bought from McDonald's 2 weeks ago, she started itchy skin arround her neck right away and then her hands and back strated hives, i didnt know it was serious, i didnt give her bynedryle, in second day i give her liquid bynedryle, it didnt work that good ,,the hives didnt go away for three days . i put baking soda in her bathtub and bathe her, give r bynedryle again, the whole hives thing lasted for almost 4 days... i am really not sure what was in that McDonald's freshly cooked chocolate chip cookie that caused my kid allergic reaction.. should i make an appointment with an allergist for her ???
I think so I went today because of my allergic reaction and they said that I needed an allergy doctor if it got out of hand. I’m pretty sure it itch bad and they gave me something to treat it and it helped.
With such a big company it could literally be anything. Often times, foods produced in large quantities can contain things like bugs, rodent hairs, etc. Do an internet search for "how many beetle fragments allowed in food"

Gosh, first time I ever heard a twin sister's twin brother died, I actually first thought the boy had a twin bro when saying twin and then turns out it was a twin sister, now I wonder if she has no food allergies right?
Uh couple things. A mild allergy should have an epi pen no excuses at all wtf did they not have one? Why were they literally like so calm about the death! Of their child? Even the sister was like yah I’m sad, like wth? Idk I’m seeing something things here that concern me. Not that they didn’t love their son or try to get an epi pen but They should have known better.
That’s odd that they did not have epi pen. Or did he rebound? My son is 2 and has went into anaphylactic shock multiple times. He is a rebound anaphylactic. Last February we spent a few days in the icu.
A parents worse nightmare! For a twin too. Just today I found out I have a severe reaction o chilis. I wasnt expecting it at all. I have emphysema too. Immediately, while removing the seeds from poblano and serrano peppers, I started having a severe reaction. I didnt think they would bother me because these arent really a 'hot' pepper. Ive never had any food allergies. I instantly had a severe cough, respiratory distress and mucous coming up excessively. I knew I was having a reaction, but I put a mask on, it didnt help at all. I started searching for what to do, online. No answers. Even now, my face and hands are burning too. Im also a little swollen. What scared me most was a very severe distress with breathing. No more chilis for me, and thats so disappointing because I love Mexican food the most. Im glad I saw this video and feel so bad for the whole family.
aww, i feel so bad for you, developing a food allergy to a lot of ur favorite cuisine is so sad, I understand it very well and I feel ur pain, I can't have basically any asian food because of my sesame allergy but I love asian food
holy crap. they js described my exact reaction to eating cashews, the itchy throat and then hours later the nausea and vomiting. I've had this reaction 2-3 times, and survived it each time. i now have an epipen but this made me scared that the reaction that I thought wasn't that bad could become really bad.
You’re supposed to give them Benadryl then rush them to ER even if it’s a mild reaction. The docs monitor them for a minimum of 3 hours before releasing them. They give them a new dose of Benadryl every hour and a steroid. They monitor all vital signs. Parents Benadryl is not enough. They have to be rushed to the hospital right away too. Prayers to the family.
No one EVER thinks about nickel, it's in SO many foods. I've got systemic nickel allergy syndrome but I'm lucky to not go into anaphylaxis. Poor boy and his family.
This is so sad. People with food allergies must read the entire ingredient list before consumption (that still doesn't always help). Don't assume anything! If you don't know, don't eat. Prayers sent to this family.
yeah! i've lived with nut allergy (not peanuts, thank goodness) and severe sesame allergy my whole life and have become very used to the being scared when going to eat anywhere other than home, having to ask if there's nuts in it, and not feeling safe eating things that aren't familiar. the reading all the ingredients, skipping out on foods that I would love to eat but am not sure about, and especially because my culture uses a lot of pistachio, and my friends are always eating asian food (with tons of sesame)
I have anaphylaxis food allergies to anything that contains....Diary, nuts, seafood ( well I can have salmon but that’s the only seafood I can eat) and I also have anaphylaxis allergies to beef as well.....im sorry for what happen and send my condolences to you guys
Allergic reactions are unprdictable, which is why allergist don't often use the terms mild or severe. A reaction can be mild one time and severe the next.
These food allergies seem to only in the United States. I have been in Costa Rica for almost 20 years and we seldom have any food allergy cases. We almost never hear of people being allergic to peanuts, nuts, etc.
My old babysitter daughter had an allergic reaction at school and when I dropped the attendants at the office there was an ambulance and lucia was going to the hospital she has so many allergies its hard to find food for her to eat that doesn't cause her reaction
I’m allergic to pistachios and some nuts. One day I ate a cookie that had some type of nuts. When I got home my throat started itching so was my body. Had stomach aches, they were hurting so much to the point I couldn’t sleep and had to go to the hospital. Luckily I woke up better
yeah, im allergic to pistachios too but this is my exact same reaction to cashews (which I'm also allergic to) its sad but less lonely to see that other people have the same reaction, I've only ever met people who get hives
o have insane allergies. i have almost died many times. allergies are no joke. i got to this video because the past 3 days ive been on oxygen, nebs, inhalers and for 3 days i couldn't even sleep cause i couldn't breath. im allergic to so many things that anything can set it off and when it does i cant even stand up. so its no joke. i would not be alive without all the medicine i have around me in case of emergency.
People who have known allergies of any type should always have an EpiPen and ask their doctor for a prescription of a corticosteroid called "Betamethasone" (the active ingredient). Specifically ask for the tablets that dissolve in water. It might save your life in acute situations. Talk to your doctor. Best wishes!

I have a food allergy to peanuts (very mild) but whenever I eat it, I feel like I am dying and medicine doesn’t feel helpful. Then, after medicine, I commonly get nausea and vomiting even after medicine but not always.
this! i "didn't need" an epipen for my "mild" nut allergy so I lived through my intestines swelling every time I ate a cashew it took 14 years, but I got an epipen eventually, because my new allergist said this!
They didn't have precautions, though. They only gave him a benadryl and sent him to bed. If they had given him an epipen at any point he might have lived.
it does work, just only for milder ones, I use it for my mild dust/pollen allergy and it works great. i tried to use it for my severe internal cashew allergy and... well... (it most certainly did not work at all) forgot to add, I also used it for hives from an unknown alergy and it worked great
I really think more research is needed to discover this allergy problem that is happening. In past years nuts was important to sustaining a diet.....as was berries..other nature products.......every kid grew up on peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches. ..after covid..my mild allergies have become severe and at this point a reaction can happen to anything. I do keep epipens and liquid Benadryl, prednisone with me at all times. It hits my digestive aystem first and ends with loss of sight and bottomed out BP. Its horrible.
i guess probably bc they thought it was mild, I have a severe allergy to sesame, and cashews, as well as allergies to pistachio, walnut, and pecans, and they never gave me an epipen because I wasn't quite at the level of anaphylaxis (my allergy is mainly internal, with the intestines swelling and stuff) but this year I went to a new allergist and he told me that I needed an epipen, because you never know what'll happen, and what might seem mild could be much worse. so now I have an epipen, and I think honestly this case must've helped push many doctors to do this, because now they're better with giving epipens.
Greetings to you all, I want to thank Doctor Alued for everything I am glad I went through the internet for this Allergy treatment .and other skin dieses And thank you so much for answering all my questions on time. thought I am in US. i am now free from my skin dieses

But I did an elimination diet to figure it out and by not eating that for several years have become much less sensitive ! I think the culprit was a buildup of sulfur . I just wanted to let people know that there sensitivity , maybe reversable , by eliminating the rite foods !
Thank you for letting me know.
This is why i am not a fan of the whole desensitization program people have ben telling me about. Even in minute amounts it can become fatal for those with allergies. Im sorry this happened to your family. This jist goes to show that even in small amounts its not okay.
This is so emotional kuudos to the parents who keep it strong
My heart is so heavy for this family ❤
Much love
Beautiful boy, sending love and comfort to your parents❤
I am also 11. Yesterday I was waiting at the emergency room for 6 hours, at one point I thought I was going into anaphylactic shock.
Poor kid, I lived a street down from him Rip Oakley #RedSneakersForOakley
I feel so bad for there family. Last year in October I went to the FARE food allergy summit and there was a booth about the “ Red sneakers for Oakley”
So sorry for your loss...this is just so sad.........
❤️❤️❤️ so sad... but they should of taken him to the ER FIRST right after he felt the allergic reaction.
my 7 year old with no nut allergy suddenly got an allergic reaction to a cookie we bought from McDonald's 2 weeks ago, she started itchy skin arround her neck right away and then her hands and back strated hives, i didnt know it was serious, i didnt give her bynedryle, in second day i give her liquid bynedryle, it didnt work that good ,,the hives didnt go away for three days . i put baking soda in her bathtub and bathe her, give r bynedryle again, the whole hives thing lasted for almost 4 days... i am really not sure what was in that McDonald's freshly cooked chocolate chip cookie that caused my kid allergic reaction.. should i make an appointment with an allergist for her ???
I think so I went today because of my allergic reaction and they said that I needed an allergy doctor if it got out of hand. I’m pretty sure it itch bad and they gave me something to treat it and it helped.
With such a big company it could literally be anything. Often times, foods produced in large quantities can contain things like bugs, rodent hairs, etc. Do an internet search for "how many beetle fragments allowed in food"
yeah, could've been anything, i have experienced the same thing actually, I am allergic to a lot of nuts but didn't have any for sure. like I'm 100% certain I didn't have any nuts, but broke out in hives!
Kaitlyn Dudley thank you! Unacceptable for these parents to help other families who are probably prepared.
I’m crying 😭
My cousin died from a peanut allergy 3 years ago in 2019
😪
So sorry for your loss🕊️😇💗✝️❤️💕🙏
@@julioalvarenga8608 thank you so much!💕
A parents worse nightmare!
It's unacceptable to use your son to sell shoes.
No one EVER thinks about nickel, it's in SO many foods. I've got systemic nickel allergy syndrome but I'm lucky to not go into anaphylaxis. Poor boy and his family.
I'm always afraid of loosing my son someday to a food allergy. As a parent with a child who suffers from several food, it's a daily stressful thing.
Exactly 😢 me too ... mine is 2 and so sweet im terrified
What a horrible story, such a young boy! My condolences to the family
Rest In Peace, little guy. :(
That was not a mild food allergy, they lied
Leslie Maloney agree.
Allergic reactions are unprdictable, which is why allergist don't often use the terms mild or severe. A reaction can be mild one time and severe the next.
I read somewhere that 30% of asthma deaths happen to people diagnosed with "mild asthma."
Yes
These food allergies seem to only in the United States. I have been in Costa Rica for almost 20 years and we seldom have any food allergy cases. We almost never hear of people being allergic to peanuts, nuts, etc.
I think the numerous vaccines that kids get play into this......when I was a kid..no one allergic to peanut butter!!
yeah, its rly weird, id love to not be allergic to nuts but my immune system doesn't think so
I am so sorry for your loss❤️❤️❤️🤲🏽🤲🏽🤲🏽
My old babysitter daughter had an allergic reaction at school and when I dropped the attendants at the office there was an ambulance and lucia was going to the hospital she has so many allergies its hard to find food for her to eat that doesn't cause her reaction
I’m allergic to pistachios and some nuts. One day I ate a cookie that had some type of nuts. When I got home my throat started itching so was my body. Had stomach aches, they were hurting so much to the point I couldn’t sleep and had to go to the hospital. Luckily I woke up better
What did the er do for you to get better
yeah, im allergic to pistachios too but this is my exact same reaction to cashews (which I'm also allergic to) its sad but less lonely to see that other people have the same reaction, I've only ever met people who get hives
It’s very sad to lose a child😢
o have insane allergies. i have almost died many times. allergies are no joke. i got to this video because the past 3 days ive been on oxygen, nebs, inhalers and for 3 days i couldn't even sleep cause i couldn't breath. im allergic to so many things that anything can set it off and when it does i cant even stand up. so its no joke. i would not be alive without all the medicine i have around me in case of emergency.
i hope ur okay now !
This so sad 🥺
I'm a big Sister... I can't imagine.
Just, love y'all ❣️ As much, and as many as you can.
Im so sorry that happened to him.
I don’t understand it... thought the epipen followed by a trip to the ER could have save his life??
Pri USA He didn’t have an epipen
Even with an Epipen we can still die. The Epipen doesn’t stop the reaction. That’s how dangerous anaphylaxis could be
@@elphabathropp5024 survival rate with two EpiPens on hand is 98%
This is sad 😢😥😭
So sad to hear that I wish they had a cure for allergies for the whole world because allergies is not what we want no we want to get rid of it to keep us healthy I have bad allergies also I take medication but if there was a cure please we need it allergies need to be gone for good!
I send my Condolences to the family.

I have a peanut allergy more of a intolerant my skin reacts.too it but not my blood
Man i dont even know this kid and im starting to tear up
I have a food allergy to peanuts (very mild) but whenever I eat it, I feel like I am dying and medicine doesn’t feel helpful. Then, after medicine, I commonly get nausea and vomiting even after medicine but not always.
wait same! that's my reaction to cashews tho, I'm not allergic to peanuts anymore
Mild allergies can escalate to this there is NO mild allergies always assume it could be deadly
this! i "didn't need" an epipen for my "mild" nut allergy so I lived through my intestines swelling every time I ate a cashew it took 14 years, but I got an epipen eventually, because my new allergist said this!
None of them seemed actually sad
michael figliola omg I know
Some were crying
@@itsMikeyHDhey don’t be rude
And that's my prayers in spirit and that's why Amen.

Heartbreaking😕
Not going to lie that pound cake looks really good
not the time
I sorry to hear that i have a very bad gluten allergy.
How terrible...even with precautions, he wasn't safe 😪
Chris Ducat that’s why I always ask. We can never be too careful
They didn't have precautions, though. They only gave him a benadryl and sent him to bed. If they had given him an epipen at any point he might have lived.
I have had 5 anaphylactic reactions and I’m only 6.
Benadryl for a allergic reaction? i dont think benadryl would work.
Benadryl is an antihistamine and is in fact what you would use for a mild reaction.
it does work, just only for milder ones, I use it for my mild dust/pollen allergy and it works great. i tried to use it for my severe internal cashew allergy and...
This is just too sad, it hurts, I'm angry .
I heard food allergies are connected to how vaccines are made.
This is outrageous. MSG is a huge one. Restaurants lie.
No epi?
i guess probably bc they thought it was mild, I have a severe allergy to sesame, and cashews, as well as allergies to pistachio, walnut, and pecans, and they never gave me an epipen because I wasn't quite at the level of anaphylaxis (my allergy is mainly internal, with the intestines swelling and stuff) but this year I went to a new allergist and he told me that I needed an epipen, because you never know what'll happen, and what might seem mild could be much worse. so now I have an epipen, and I think honestly this case must've helped push many doctors to do this, because now they're better with giving epipens.
i have severe peanut allergy and it fckin sucks
Greetings to you all, I want to thank Doctor Alued for everything I am glad I went through the internet for this Allergy treatment .and other skin dieses And thank you so much for answering all my questions on time. thought I am in US. i am now free from my skin dieses
1:10 don’t take Benadryl it’s not very good
I am so sorry 😞. Restaurants lie about msg also. It is hidden by other names. Yet snap will not increase money for those who can't by fresh food. All canned food, frozen food has it. Slow starvation.
