Manjeshwar Temple in North Kasargod (Kerala Karnataka border) The Anantha Padmanabha Temple was also a Jain temple earlier. My uncle, Prof MM Prabhu, a historian had written many interesting facts about the place and was the first to propose that it was originally a Jain temple giving an instance of the name itself - Anantha. Years later, though, he retracted all his claims and said that it was completely wrong. (Well, GSB people are usually the RSS types, growing up with it, and active in it since the 70s even though belonging to Congress originally, until after the Janata party collapse). In fact, one other interesting fact is that the temple bell, usually told in folklore to be gifted by the gods, is funnily enough the ship's bell of an English trade carrier that sunk off the Manjeshwar coast and to this day carries the inscription haha. Among 100 earliest extant Tamil-Brahmi inscriptions, 95% are Jain records, which are found mostly in cave surface & rock shelters. These caves where once abode of Jain monks.
The Tamil-Brahmi inscriptions are the Most ancient of the extant written records of Old Tamil.
Perhaps a lot of my ancestors were Jains who always continued to worship indigenous Dravidian gods and goddesses.
As the Kings stopped patronage of Jains & Buddhists and started pursuing active campaign of destruction against them on incitement of Brahmins/Brahmanical religion, Saivism (likely heavily influences from Dravidian practices like phallus worship) and Vaisnavism became prominent state religions, while the worship of Dravidian gods and goddesses never stopped.
Proves that religion merely is a part of a civilisation, not the civilisation itself (Dravidians bury their dead, Aryans burn them). Religion changes, but the civilisation inherently remains the same. We see this in Sinic civilisation, SEA civilisation etc., religion changed overtime, but civilisation was the same as opposed to Indic Wing which says religion alone defines it.

Ayurveda is just another part subject of medicine... There's no hindu or buddhist about it, since both of them taught Medicine in their indian schools. Even today doctors learn medicine, it's not hindu doctor or muslim doctor, it's just doctor. Ayurved was just part of ancient Medicine.
