We started this project back in February 2022 and this took us almost a year to be completed as we forged it by hand following ancient smithing manual. I recommend you to watch full video you'll enjoy revealing damascus patterns and it's final results, I tried my best to make best sickle on internet. I didn't make it too sharp because I never make it to cut grass or harvesting of vegetables, this is just a fantasy object and can't use in real life. Thank you and Enjoy! Keep Watching Random Hands.
i dont normally comment, but this is for sure my favorite piece ive seen! the details are absolutely beautiful, and you can really clearly see how much hard work went into it! its an absolute masterpiece :)
Again, Eeee, well done again, it's a great honor for me to see another person with precise attention to detail and his wonderful work, well done and respect from old BG.
That is good craftsmanship, And I don't mean that metaphorically, or rhetorically, poetically, or theoretically or in any other fancy way... That's nice, straight up.
Not sure it is millions. There are millions of forge workers who make next to nothing crafting knives. It's kind of time consuming to make something that can be mass produced industrially in the same quality in a fraction of the time. At this point the only reason to spend money on it is the handcrafting. Which is often worth it, but stupid expensive.
It is a beautiful piece for sure. The cracks in the handle make it questionable on it's strength though. On the tang alone were some really deep cracks through put this item at risk of stress fractures. Something that could have been ground out or welded in as easy fixes though. Otherwise, this was a great item!
Let the amazing product aside, using pure hand gammering for forging was impressive; most forging videos I saw so far use machine hammering! .. you are a REAL master metal forger of medeival standards!
Phenomenal workmanship and entertaining. O'my that was a HUGE hammer. Could have been sharper in my option. Thank you for sharing, nice to see something different in the forge.
Dude has Forging Skills on top of Skill's, skills, skills! I could hear the steel get denser and denser with density of strength as he pounded the Ingot's together. That was very inspiring... "JUST DON'T FORGET THE MAN BEHIND THE SKILLS!"
the reason why you don't see people hand forge damascus is exactly what this video showcases. it's riddled with delaminations and a crapton of cracks. I would say if you were to drop this it would shatter, but it would probably just dent as it's clearly not heat treated what so ever, with the grinding going that smoothly.
@@sircharles8722 Yeah, hand forging damascus will generally result in many more impurities and imperfections. However, as this video shows, hand forging damascus takes a VERY long time as well, making it completely understandable why not many people hand forge damascus these days.
This comment is before I am going to watch this video because I wanted to say DAMASCUS ON A SICKLE I mean I have seen too many crazy damascus videos but never on such a dope weapon

Bro imagine how hard this must of been that steel is no joke it’s very very heavy duty i can only imagine the amount of hard work went into just the first few minutes of this video with just hammering it
6:39 New Weapon unlock! "THE CLAW (ripper form)" -Used to hook into flesh or bash bones of the enemy, hits with tip inflict high piercing damage while hits with the inner claw inflict high blunt force and saw damage.
Cool build. But wouldn't it make more sense to heat up the opposite side of where you had cut the ball bearings? Would make the material easier to move.
Hey I love these videos really satisfying and the end product is always stunning. I don't know if you take requests but I'd love to see an Attack on Titan sword
I wish there was a way to play these videos backwards. Watching someone deconstruct a beautiful weapon and then craft it into rusty junk would be soothing to some evil part of my soul.
It's a lovely piece! I have to say, the types of tools involved surprised me in their... inconsistency. Started with a coal forge and a hammer, then instead of shaping the piece over the anvil horn you used the hitch on the back of the tractor. But then, you went to a machinist lathe to turn the brass! I figured CNC laser engraving was next.
