Animation is solid but it doesn’t fit the style/aesthetic of the show , feels like an action movie.

Pretty sure he runs watanabe wheels at least the first stages. And the drifts are very arcade-ish. But other than that, this short is insane. Massive attention to detail. You did a really good job 👍

Wrong font for the tofu logo and also logo should only be on driver's door.

play it at 2 and you get a realistic depiction of bunta on a relaxing sunday drive.

@@sekittojoseph8341 engine was swapped to a 4 cyl 1.6 20V 4age. It doesn't sound nowhere near like that.

@@dansiva1870 This clip in particular uses Pennzoils Joyride cinematic. With the Ferrari 488 GTB. Trust me, I´ve also used that masterpiece of sound editing in some of my proyects.

But the car physics are wrong and it looks unnatural. And the engine was completely the wrong sound. And there was no eurobeat. For that reason: 0/10.

the quality and detail is insane good job
The detail kinda sucks, tbh. The stripes aren't right, the wheels aren't Watanabes, the headlights are white instead of carbon fiber like the hood, and the ae86 is a Kouki model instead of a Zenki like it should be.
Looks absolutely amazing, especially with those transitions! Could have had a bit more realistic speed and momentum around corners, but still absolutely fantastic
The visual is amazing but the drift is weird. Even Takumi can't save himself from charging in straight deep into the line and somehow magically turns like 0:42. It would make more sense if he already initiated the drift at 0:41. But I see they got the braking lights correct since he seems to be doing a brake drift.
It’s a power slide mid way
@@kaiga7255 I think if he was going for a powerslide he would still not charge the car into the corner that fast since he need to offset the front and the back tires... he would've had understeer trying to turn to that corner that fast. But most importantly, a powerslide means you gas through the corner while he was clearly braking through the corner.
@@tofugakiraidesu true, it is possible to pass a corner without under steering into it, it would be pretty hard, hans we are analyzing an animation from an anime. Sooooo point in case it doesn’t matter

honestly i'm just having an issue with this because for however nice the cinematic might be (which it really is very well done) i just feel like there's a lack of action. the water drop that flies off the wheels of the car gets more screentime than the 86 actually doing a drift. it just doesn't feel right for anything initial D related imo
