Nice to see Brandon do the right thing in both the race and after the crash. Take away for me was there was no way to open that door short of a crow bar. Standardize what ever is used to latch & open so chances increase for someone like Brandon in that situation to have allowed Lizzy to get out. Imajin if there was fire.....and she was trapped because the procedure as it was then was too complex. ALL these one off and therefore cool builds need to take a breath and watch that. Again and again until the magnitude of the situation is understood and addressed. Humble opinion. As this form of racing/show grows and the cars evolve . it's just a matter of time. ( To those who would say it was smashed in....look again )
He was just returning the favor from when they were racing and he wrecked his Mustang. Those two don’t need to be racing each other they wreck every time.

I was just thinking the same thing, Didnt BFJ roll the stang against here during the list racing. I heard the 2nd time BFJ crashed the stang, he almost broke his back so he didnt rebuild it a second time and built the new whip

There fierce competitors but it is so awesome to see when someone is in trouble they’re all on the same team it is awesome to see other drivers running down there to get her out of the car
The safety response plan and preparedness need waaayyy more thought given to it! What if...there was a fire and the initial responders showed up without fire suits and only a 10lb bottle fire extinguisher and no pry bars? With the door smashed close, this couldve been a tragic ending. Glad she's ok!

Why did the ambulance just sit there? At the tracks I work at they're on the radio yelling "EMS GO!" on the first impact. Drag strips, except NHRA events, are the worst about not having adequate fire and extrication equipment on the track.

I give props to Brandon he put on a hustle to get stopped and get over to her.I'm guessing she was hurt thats why she didnt get out of the car with a quickness even when the door was opened up.Thats the thing about NPK its like playing Russian roulette with your car every time you make a good pass its as close to hitting black ice depending on track conditions.
Props to Brandon for stopping but dang, he pulls off safety gear, trots right by the main safety switch on the back of the car, and plays around with the door. Hope he learned sumthin, planning ahead saves important seconds especially when there is fire. He may never be in that situation again but he should consider what to do if there is a next time. ya, he should of hit the switch on the back, went to passenger side, shut off nitrous, CO2 and if needed, help unbuckle and pull her out if driver side door wont open. thats in an urgent situation. they had the fire out within the first few seconds though so a bad situation turns into a matter of just making sure no more bodily damage to the driver is done.
Accidents are just horrible. When Brandon jumped out of his car and rushed over to help Lizzy, just fantastic sportsmanship and plain caring nature. Not everyone would have done that. He stuck around until the situation was being handled.
I was actually there, in person, in ULTRA VIP and barely saw anything! We could hardly hear Boosted and had no idea Kye proposed later; it was too hot to even care anymore who won Saturday night!! It was 107 with zero cooling stations. Darlington Dragway can do better!
Finally saw your crash on Discovery. That was a hard it!! So thankful you weren’t injured! When Ryan proposed & I could see it close up, that was the Sweetest Thing. So happy you said yes! It’s wonderful to marry your best friend ❤️

"No prep drags" should be replace by "Car Destroying Drags" what's the point of get to a track, with a full race car and then compete in an unprepared 'No bite" surface? How many cars, millions or lives need to be throwed away before they realize that it doesn't worth to compete in no prep? No prep drags are ok for some 500hp street cars and still dangerous! A race track is a race track, Don't be stupid, prepare it to hold the power and be safer for everyone!

I'm really glad Lizzy wasn't hurt but I've seen several no prep races where people were hurt. Some very bad. I get the reason for it. It imitates street racing. BAD bad bad camera job 😶 Glad she's in better shape than the car. As best I could see, (from the stellar cam job) it looked like the front wheels left the road after a 2-3rd gear shift, and when she got out of it her wheels made contact and were pointing slightly to the right which made the car jump in the other lane. Could have been a lot worse. She's fortunately unharmed. GO LIZZ GO. Fire that camera person.
