Shainblum going astro is always a joy to watch! I love how you managed to give the comet 3 nights of exploration. The images of night 3 especially are out of this world 😎
Wow, that aurora over Glacier Point! I was too lazy and just did the aurora from the backyard. Landscape photography really is not about the gear but the motivation/determination to get out there for better compositions.
These are some of the most amazing images I’ve ever seen. Stunning. The combination of the Milky Way and comet was incredible. Would love to see how you put all that together. Next level. Appreciate being able to see this. Hope things get better for you soon
i had to hit pause right as I pressed play to make sure I'm prepared for this shit Michael. Man I look forward to seeing how you approached the holy trinity of subjects here. I was chasing this comet out at Death Valley a month ago exactly, with two failed attempts of finding the comet in the early morning hours, it really reminded me how completely missing the shot is all apart of this adventure. which is what helps the lucky moments where I do get the capture feel that much better. most times I'm going to miss, and that's ok. you on the other hand, your misses are hits. its really difficult to try and understand that statement since you're only able to judge what you consider a miss, so ill say it again. even your misses are hits and you rarely miss. OK MAN IM READY, HIT ME WITH IT
My favorite is the horizontal composition of the Milky Way, the sea stacks, and the comet. Truly amazing! The Aurora over Half Dome is pretty cool too. You just asked me to pick my mom or my dad, so difficult.
this was all kinds of awesome, buddy !!!! The moonscape waves shot was a super idea. The milky way and comet shot is off the charts, and then the aurora.. :-)
Beautiful images Michael 👌☄️🌌 I did manage to get a shot of the Comet myself here in the UK on just about the only clear night we have had. It’s nothing special but I’m so pleased I made the effort and witnessed it
An incredible photo result! So far, it’s the best comet photo I’ve seen. I can’t believe you can manage a vlog, take videos, and do photography all on your own!
I was lucky enough to view and capture images from both the May and Oct Auroras but missed the comet due to weather. Like you my summer was challenging and the moments under the glowing night sky were what my mind and soul needed. For me this was one of your best creations to date, Pura Vida!
WOW, Michael!! What a GREAT video. Your images of the comet blew me away, and then you hit me with the comet with the Milky Way. Those are amazing images. And then you piled on with your aurora photos. You are a magician with the camera. Thank you for sharing your work with us.
Amazing bucket-list shoot! What really stands out is that this is basically facing south-east. There is even glow way to the right (south) of Half Dome. Until this month, I thought we could only ever get aurora in the northern half of the sky from anywhere in California, but the solar maximum keeps surprising us.
Michael, no matter what you're going through, you have so much love and support from so many, more than you could ever know! I wasn't able to experience any of what you shot, so thank you for sharing your work; this video was beyond extraordinary! It put a smile on face, I needed that.
some people get all the lucky conditions, the east coast of Australia has been horrible this year with low pressure systems and just cloud cloud cloud wind...great shot of the horizontal stacks sunset and comet has a nice flow and good colour...
Man!! I have hiked and backpacked Yosemite many times and have taken some unbelievable shots! What bothers me is that auroras always happened mid week this year and as a 9-5 guy, I never was able to take the aurora shots this year! Amazing shot of the Yosemite valley with auroras!! You made it!
Holy crap! Much like your subjects in this video, your photography is just out of this world. TH-cam is full of amazing photographers that I love and learn from, but your stuff is head and shoulders above the competition. The only critique I have is that your images always have a greenish hue to them. No, no wait...that's just my own envy, they're perfect, carry on.
I can't find the words beyond Wow! Those are some amazing shots! My favourite of the comet photos - well favourites - are the ones with the Milky Way over the sea stacks. Just wonderful! Seeing the aurora in Yosemite was such a treat - I love that photo with the Milky Way and Andromeda, showing up the extent of that galaxy. So beautiful!
I must admit I haven't been keeping up on following you. But no more, I was blown away more than twice in this video of your outstanding skill level.I will be watching your content like a hawk. Outstanding Work Michael !
Michael, a lot of us were photographing the same cosmic events over the last month at the same time. Its cool to see what you got on the west coast while I was capturing very similar events from the east coast. Love it.
Hi Michael. Thank you for this incredible video! I'm so happy that you were able to get out and photograph these incredible events. You are an inspiration to me and I look forward to seeing your next video. BTW, it was great to meet and spend a few minutes with you near Mono Lake on your way to Yosemite. Continued Success. Anthony
brother, thank you so much for sharing! know this, when accounting for your video’s impact, don’t forget that it has touched and motivated a soul from across the world ❤
Awesome with the sea stacks. I'm in the midwest and I think we where both shooting on the same night for your last shot with the Comet and the Milky Ways. Great shots!
Just WOW! As usual, it's impossible to choose a favorite!! Hope your outside challenges ease up - for you and for us - so we get more of you doing what you do best!!
Thank you for taking the time to put together the video Michael - I really enjoyed watching your journey with the multiple comet shoots. I had a few chances here in the UK to capture it along with the aurora. October has been a real treat with all the night-sky events!
Awesome shots, man! It truly was a special time for astrophotography these past weeks. I was out taking pictures in the Florida Keys when we were surprised by the Northern Lights. Then the comet got better and better. Thanks for sharing!
I love this vlog, Michael! The images of the comet and the Milky Way are amazing! The aurora images from Yosemite are just stunning! Amazing that you got the Milky Way and Andromeda in the middle of the beautiful fuscia light. I hope that everything going in your life currently resolves soon!
Fantastic stuff, it’s definitely beautiful to behold all these events wasn’t it! I was out for all the same nights, which is incredible in itself, but my shots still need to be looked at and edited. I am surely excited if I get anything as good as yours. My location wasn’t as epic but anything can be turned into something at least decent.
@@MichaelShainblum I live in the republic of Ireland,so managed a nice shot overlooking countryside leading out to hookhead lighthouse from my back garden.
Which image from this video is your favorite? Let me know below! 👇
The one with the milky way + comet at 15:00 is incredible! One of the best images I've ever seen.
15:00 and 16:34 I've never seen anything like these images 😮 and you never disappoint, Michael! ❤
This is a very hard decision! The combination of Milky Way with the comet is a very special photo - I would choose this one.
This is difficult ...But the sea stacks, MW and comet photo at time 15:14 is my choice.
Love all the images but if I had to pick a favorite it would be the triangle formation. Amazing!
Shainblum going astro is always a joy to watch! I love how you managed to give the comet 3 nights of exploration. The images of night 3 especially are out of this world 😎
I don't have any words to ignore these images. NO WORDS AT ALL...... Absolutely stunning.
Thank you so much, I'm really glad you enjoyed them!

Those shots of the Milky Way and the comet are amazing, as are the aurora taken from Glacier Point. Congrats on making some wonderful images.

Wow - the photos with the Milky Way , the comet, and the sea stacks! Shows what perseverance can accomplish! Great shots!
Spectacular, and very creative images. Enjoyed this video quite a bit.

The comet is still visible. It’s just slowly getting dimmer as it moves further away

Oooo nice, you got the SAR arc along with the aurora!
One of the best images of comet and Arora..mind blowing

Stunning photography/videography. I've said before Michael is one of the top landscape photographers on TH-cam and deserves far more subs.
Thank you so much, haha hopefully we can keep the channel growing!

Emotional imagery well scored. You're almost as good at film as you are photography, sir.
Amazing 😮
Excellent as usual Michael , love your videos. Was lucky to capture the aurora this month , not a night person more early morning 😊
This was fantastic video
It's just insane capturing the northern lights in Yosemite! I hope you're OK buddy! :)
