Wonderful, wonderful video! The narration, videography and storytelling jst perfect. And the happy end, seeing you getting the pictures you were hoping for was magical indeed! Thank you for sharing, as a viewer I thoroughly enjoyed it!!! Best wishes to you & good luck with your future trips!
Great narration of your fantastic experience. The best light seems to come with a clearing storm. I try to pre-visualize possible shots with different foreground elements so I’m ready when that few seconds of magic light happens. I mark several spots with rocks where my tripod would be placed and wait for the magic to happen, knowing I am ready.
Very nice. At 14:17 you looked like on a blue screen 🙂. thanks for sharing. I am going to Scotland on 10 Oct and will explore some of the areas you visited. Thanks for everything you do.
Hi Adrian, I loved the Tree that was slightly leaned, and I did enjoy the Weather as well. Looking forward to seeing more of your images in Spain. Many thanks 😊.
What I have learned as a photographer is not to expect. Photography is like going to the elements; you can't predict the weather. Admittedly, it's useful to have a plan in the back of your mind. But photography is more about being in the right place at the right time, and sometimes that perfect moment can come out of the blue when you least expect it.
Did you see the last presentation of Josef Koudelka by Developing Tank 10 days ago? Masterly! I didn't know much about Josef Koudelka, just that you're a fan of him, but now I think I might become a fan of him as well 🙂
You're so lucky getting these 10 minutes. I go to Rondetunet Holiday Center on Monday, but just grey weather and rain the whole week. I should have been there this week, superb weather! I was hoping to enter Høgronden Mountain Top, but there it will snow, so I cannot see the path. So I think I've to go to the Gravskardhøgda Mountain instead, as it's easier, and there is an impressive arrangement of old animal graves I want to see as well. On Wednesday my girls come back from Vienna, I'll meet them at Ringebu, so I plan to just drive that day. I first drive down the Grimsdalen Valley to Otta, then I drive up to Mysusæter, to see the Rondane Mountains from the other side, then I drive the Ottadalen Valley as far as I get before it becomes dark, then I drive back to Ringebu to wait for the train. Thursday the whole family just walks to the small mountain top of Finnsjøvola just behind Rondetunet Holiday Center, it tells it's a spectacular view towards the Rondane Mountains, but we might not see them because of the weather. Maybe it will rain too much as well? I still hope for Høgronden though, but then some local who knows the way must join me, and I think this is impossible to find.
Your videos and photos are so beautiful. I'm having a bit of a slump but this video was the inspiration I needed. I hope you mind a boring technical question, what focal range did your telephoto have? I usually shoot with prime's but wanted to get something more versatile and I was just curious. Thank you again for another outstanding video 👏🏻
Thank you, unfortunately I was watching on my phone on my lunch break and completely missed it. That's pretty similar to what I was thinking about getting 😊.
Hi, your photos are quite dark but they are very beautiful. I was wondering if they get darker when you print them? Or do you lighten them a bit before printing?
This is also reason why as a photographer i prefer to spend at least 2-3 days in a location while traveling instead of covering too many places. You increase your chances of getting the best of conditions and light a well as exploring unique areas around the place instead of the standard views which everyone will get.
I visit a place and as long as I‘m not perfectly happy with the resulting photos I have to come back again. Well, I can‘t think of a single place I‘m done with ;-)
By the way, it's stupid going back to Spain now, as we might enter WWIII. Everybody recommends South America as the safest place, as far south as you can get. And you speak Spanish!

Superb! And such dedication to get those amazing shots.
Glad you enjoyed the journey and the short period of ideal weather. You made some gorgeous photos.
you are a blessed boy. I loved watching your adventure even if so rarely I can afford myself to do something similar

I was curious about that too so I paused and went back and forth where he had just brought the lens out and was preparing to switch. 70-350.

BTW, the video beginning at 12:40 with the photographer in silhouette look printable to me.
