      @autpops I live in the Caribbean, northwest of Puerto Rico, at the top of a cliff in front of the ocean. I once woke up at 4am and the full moon was setting on the horizon over the ocean. It was a scene out of this world. Any tips on capturing this moment? No foreground, just the ocean, the horizon, the sky and the moon. Love these videos! Thanks for sharing.

    Loved the music in the video. Great explanations of your work. I’ve tried Astro once and was so weird , middle of the open country by myself, I didn’t stay long. I’ll try it again, just need to get there early and situated. Great video. Thanks

    2nd trip through this great video.
    Any thoughts on most effective metering mode?
    I like using colored film over a foreground light source to warm or cool the foreground objects.
    Thanks again 😊

    Amazing shots! I'm highly addicted to Startrails and can vouch for how addictive Astro is :) ;) inspired by yours and Nate's work, I'm now doing a compilation of Time-lapse Trails shots :)

    Have not tried Astro yet. But star trails are so fascinating. Also infrared has some very interesting results. But the top of my bucket list is Aurora Borealis! I love your work. You have a great eye. All your photos I have seen are lovely.

    The difference in Lossless compressed vs uncompressed is like a WORD document residing in a ZIP file or not. The data is there, but Lightroom, Capture One, etc...can uncompress lossless files and "see" all the data as though it was an uncompressed file.

    Excellent video with great examples! A couple things you did not touch on: 1) do you enable Long Exposure Noise Reduction or 2) do you enable high ISO Noise Reduction? I do neither with my Sony cameras, my brother prefers enabling both and wait for the extra processing time. I have an A7RV and A1. I have not used the A1 for Astro yet. Do you find one better than the other for Astro?

    Great video but just wanted to point out, in case you not aware, that you are not pronouncing a lot of the "T"s in your words and it sounds unprofessional.. A good example is the word "important". You are completely omitting the sound of the first "t" and it makes your speaking of that work sound really weird.

    I use the Haida clear light rear filter adapted to my Sony 14mm GM when shooting astro from Mauna Kea. Has really made a difference on the light over Kona. Wonder though am I losing any stops of light with it?

    This is very cool. I am already excited for our current storms to pass so I can get out after the milky way. It is 3 hours to dark skies so it is hard to just go if the weather is always changing. Right now the moon is right and the forecast shows 3 sunny days. I think it is time for a road trip tomorrow for my first milky way of the year! Thanks for pumping me up with your video. I wish I can shoot raw like everyone else but I dont have light room or any good editing tools to work on raw images so stuck with jpg. Better than nothing I guess. Wish me luck

    I've done Milky Way photography in 8 states and landscapes at night in more. More and more I've been getting into landscapes at night regardless of the Milky Way. Kind of makes sense since I live in the PNW where there are more cloudy nights that clear nights. My last couple of shoots were stars above clouds reflected in a lake and reflections of cabins in a puddle with just clouds.

    Great shot of a glassy lake, excellent reflection, nicely done! I like to shoot the milky way over mountain lakes, old homestead farms and ranches, bristlecone pines, or the Great Sand Dunes with my iOptron Sky Guider Pro astro tracker.

  • @jackbnmbl7
    @jackbnmbl7 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I don't get it. The images appear to be two frames on top of one another. And how do you see that much detail of the Milky Way in your photo? I've taken many astro photos over the years and nothing looks like that. There's no way you're just pointing a camera at the sky for fifteen seconds and seeing that. I don't have any new cameras though either.
