This is going to be the third year in a row that I'm playing spring/summer baseball on Thursday's from the second Thursday of May until sometime in August & I wish that many baseballs could be hit to the outfield, instead of me just standing out there, for the most part. Oh well. That's why I prefer being an infield, since they do change it up, sometimes. We play, so that when each player is up to bat until they hit a fair ball & so that it's fair that way. No pun intended. Well... They can still get out from a foul ball, except that's never happened, since I've started playing. Anyways... Even when they have me in the outfield, it's still a lot of fun. Sometimes, I get to make some plays.(just not that many) Most are in the infield & in fact, last year I got the first ever triple play at third base.(at that ball diamond) I'm glad they ran. I easily caught the baseball, so I don't know what they were thinking, but I'm not complaining.
