What a freaking epic game to finish the year........Looking forward to 24, 23 was the first time I played the game all year and I had fun but at times it did get dull.....Hopefully they way they are setting 24's 3 month seasons will work out better.
Shout out for another great year of vids Koogs. One card I sneaky loved was 99 Braun. I only picked him up a few weeks ago but dude hits nothing but missiles for me. Hope he’s back in 24 because I’ll be going to him way quicker than this year
Game play was good minus the issues with pinpoint and pitches going wherever they wanted or always going to the furthers part of the par even on perfect pitches

I liked the addition of having the clutch attribute matter, but some of those 99 pitchers with terrible control attributes made pinpoint very challenging for no reason
I don't play much online love diamond dynasty though. I really wish they would do something w/ classic hitting though. I struggle really bad w/ the PCI and stuff so I like the more relaxing classic mode but it feels like a majority of my hits are ground balls up the middle and it says my timing was good.
Only gripe I had with 23 gameplay was adding rng to pinpoint instead of making it harder to use, really looking forward to them raising the skill level for pinpoint and actually making it rewarding to use again
This year Gameplay was solid, they need to fix the slider shrink bug, fix the pinpoint pitching bug and nerf the BS of manipulation with the elevation. Definitely parks like costco and shield woods doesn't meet ranked requirements they just completely broken.
Agree on the gameplay and the throw meter was a huge W. Also remember how many server issues we used to have??? Almost zero now. SDS 👏

My only gripe with MLB’s gameplay this year was the pinpoint pitching. Missed the par way too many times with a perfect release. First year they introduced pinpoint it was actually OP then they spent the next 2 games tweaking it and I think this year it was a little off
Gameplay was absolutely on point this year really the main thing that kept me coming back cause my goodness the sets were atrocious
You know what’s funny koogs put World Series mvp Corey at second base in 21 (2 years ago) and 2 years later he gets another one at second AND SECOND IS 2
My favorite card that I used this year was probably Jackson Holiday in MLB to show 23 and probably the world baseball classic Mike Trout
The only thing that I hated was the super dive bull crap like Elly was throwing people out from his backside 😂

honestly mlb the show 23 had some of my favorite gameplay, and yes the grind was tedious, but I was more than game. Gameplay was pretty balanced considering how inconsistent it could have been.
Content structure and execution sucked and the 99s day one had promise but it never worked in the giving out of unique cards. I'm glad the power creep is coming back, but not sure how I feel about BR being 10-0 now. It's just a little weird. Anxiously anticipating 24 overall.

My god squad lineup is almost the same. WIth the exception I have al those cards (except Mantle) But Mine is C-Adley 1B-Bellinger 2B-Betts SS- Chipper 3B-Jram LF-Ruth CF-Trout Milestone RF-Acuna Milestone DH-SHeffield with Griffey Jr, ALbies, Seager and Aaron on the bench

I understand people will say it’s baseball but I just struggle to play a competitive game where you can do everything right and not get rewarded and your opponent can do worse than you and get lucky. It completely kills the experience for me and feels like I’m not fully in control of winning and losing
I feel like the foul balls are still a problem in the game. The amount of times I’ve seen very early swings on pitches in the dirt fouled off is ridiculous

MLB 23 has the best gameplay by a mile, I do think they can fix foul balls and pinpoint though.
For me, I felt like the foul balls were almost as bad as last year.

I honestly disagree, I think the hitting engine and pitching need A LOT of fine tuning. Pitch accuracy was never consistent across the overalls. The hitting engine was honestly the worst. No body was getting rewarded when they should’ve been. I understand it’s realistic that not every swing is gonna be hit but when it’s consistent enough that playing the game on the highest altitude stadiums to get rewarded properly consistently is just absurd. I can’t explain how many games where I’d have good swings and perfects be outs and my opponents would be having late and early swings leaving the yard. I think the game needs to just be better.
I think gameplay was good, the only thing for me personally was the bad home runs. Missing pci completely on hall of fame to be a 435ft no doubter is bad

If I had to pick an issue for MLB23 online it's gotta be the amount of perfect-perfect swings that result in a pop-fly, ground out, or some stupid diving catch. You got punished way too much for swinging the bat good.
And it's supposed to reward you for swinging it good but as you said it doesn't
this wouldn't bug me so much if it went the other way as well. everytime you make bad contact its never a blooper its so stupid.
Pinpoint was just completley off this year, if they fixed that 23 couldve been way better
