Is There Still Hope?

Malachi 3:1-4
In Hebrew, Malachi means “my messenger.” We don’t know who this messenger is who writes this last book of the Old Testament, but they are writing in a time after exile as the temple is being rebuilt and dedication to the Jewish faith is at an all-time low. Malachi’s message is to the priests and people to help them prepare for what God will do next. In some ways, the hopelessness found in exile should be gone, but in that hopelessness, the Jew’s lost their connection to the faith and Malachi is trying to rebuild that faith. What happens when the world tears down our faith?
