I just installed clipless lugs and use my mtn. bike shoes. Its far more comfortable when riding with solid soles and jumping is so easy. You can also to a 180 at a standstill.
My wheel is a kingson 16s which with a wait of 17 kg... can you jump on a regular size curb with a wheel this heavy ? i'm asking because i'm a noob still and i'm still learning.
+MoiBis I think it is much easier if the tyre is less inflated. I don't really jump my wheel, but I make the gesture which alleviates the load and allows the wheel to climb the kurb. But once, I crashed because, when my wheel was under inflated, I pumped it up. But, when I tried to "jump" after that as I did usually, the wheel did not climb but blocked which made it go to security, id est cut out, and it is impossible to stay on a wheel without engine action...

Just think? One day somebody will figure out how to put shocks on these things... Hey I bet it'll be a mono-shock! bwaahahaha Yeah I know,, I tried to make a funny.. lol
GeorgeBonez Lol, yeah a mono shock, not that would be interesting. It could be done fairly easy to be honest (wouldnt be a mono, it would be a twin, but of course the price would go up even more). Better would be an air powered system, it could jump for you then! ha ha
Ninebot UK Hey dude let me give you a little update on my progress on my riding ok! I finally learned to ride my unit pretty well and I was doing pretty good until "IT FINALLY HAPPENED"!!! Dum DA DA DUMMMMM! Riding at full speed + I had a really violent CrAsH and broke my left wrist and cracked a bone in my (L) elbo. Dude I "BIT-IT-HARD" and landed on the scorching hot asphalt face-first in the hot summer sun! So I am out-O-commission for a while. :( Here is the plus side of things.. Due to this accident I finally got permission from my girlfriend to buy a real off-road Segway X2 style PTV (of course not a real SW brand) because "she thinks its safer and she is right to a certain degree RIGHT? (Just say yes at this point ok) PUWahaha! I am very careful NOT to show her vids like "Segway Fails" on youtube of course .. haha My Unit is to arrive in the next 3-5 days! LOL OMG it hurts when I laugh! :(
GeorgeBonez How did you crash if you don't mind me asking? Was it bad luck or some sort of error you made in riding? I faceplanted when the power cut out of my wheel while trying to push it harder than it could handle. That was a painful lesson.
+Richard Veneracion Well my crash was different I think.. I was going top speed and my wheel started wobbling left to right uncontrollably until it finally shook my left foot off of the unit.. I am a new rider ok and don't deny it ok..Its very hard to explain but Ill try.. My wheel starts this weird back & forth wobble at about mid speed and if I keep pushing it, it will normally smooth out. This time I reached that wobble speed then it smoother out for a minute then it started to wobble violently at top speed until I couldn't contain it anymore then I faceplanted too. I was going so fast and had enough air-time that I managed to put my arms out in front of me to catch my fall breaking my left wrist and elbo. Dude it happened so fast that I am only now able to explain it in detail after reviewing it in my head over and over and over! haha Man it was pretty horrible and I am sure that your accident was too.. Its funny how there are NO High-speed solowheel CrAsHeS on youtube.. haha I have asked several people on youtube about this wobble problem that I am having with my wheel but nobody seems to know what I am talking about. :( The wobble-problem is like ,,, how the old cheap skateboards use to do when you were screaming down hill on them back when I was a kid. Its the exact same thing but I don't know what causes this on a mono-wheel type unit? Anyway now I have an off-road Segway (Chinese) haha! Its much safer and a hell of a lot more fun. :) Yes it is more expensive but I am working on that ok.. I just went into business with a Chinese manufacture and I am going to be selling these things here on the East coast but I can ship or drop-ship anywhere.. I have a great full-time job that pays great so I am not trying to get rich by doing this.. My goal is to make these things so affordable that anyone can have one.. They are truly fun as hell man and I want everyone to have one.. This wasn't a sales-pitch btw because although I can sell Segways right now, I am not fully up and running yet.. BUT having said all that. If you ever get to the point you want a real Segway you let me know and I don't mean those cheesy little blue Ninbot things with the goofy neon lights on them.. lol I am talking about the big knobby off-road wheels with all of the attachments. ha :)
Thanks for the pointers!
Arbolest No problem! thanks for watching :)
Another excellent video! Well done Ian 👍
homerandmarge69 Cheers! :)

Thank you very much for this video! I will start training tomorrow =) I clearly don´t use enough force.
Awesome, glad it helped! All the best!

What would be the best tire pressure to learn how to jump ? I can only do very small jumps and it's very tiring, so maybe I inflated it too much ^^

I'm sure you have nailed it by now but if not... yes you can, I get up curbs on the ninebot z10 which is 24kgs
how much is your weight? i am afraid that i will damage the tire with my 80kg weight.
+Steve Wong You are about the same as me then, I am a little heavier than that. You wont damage the stock tire.
Usefull tuto! Thx. Go go training...
you're jumping straight up, correct?
Correct.
