- The 3 Musketeers are back together! Jake, Ian, and Stevie are catching up and sharing some of the bottles they’re currently enjoying as the autumn season kicks in. Each of us has brought along a special selection, and we can’t wait to dive into them!
In this episode, we taste some incredible drams, including a Hand Fill Bunnahabhain, a special release from Cut Your Wolf Loose, a Kilkerran, and plenty more surprises. It’s a laid-back, fun episode filled with great whisky, laughter, and recommendations for your next pour.

Easily one of me favorite episodes you guys have done. In America we call this format "campfire style." I would watch 4 seasons of this...
Fist off: It's amazing to be able to have a new episode, I've been waiting patiently.
Secondly, I have a small idea for the future, although I don't want to make Stevie work even more, but I'd love to have rough time stamps for episodes. For example, this would come in handy when going back and wanting to check for the discussion of a certain bottle when deciding to buy one.
Also I'd like to throw the idea of wine cask aged/finished whiskies for an episode into the ring, would love to see a discussion on that topic, especially peated vs. unpeated.
Would like to say my dad and I who won the competition for the tickets did indeed bump into Jake who was amazing. He shared all his drams and my old man is a huge fan now. Thank you so much Jake, you made his festival particularly as he was struggling with catching his breath and had to grab a seat for most of it.
Yesss! The boys are back in town!
Great to see the full podcast crew together again.
Since you're all Craigellachie fans, let me humble brag about the Whisky Sponge 20yr Craigellachie I have open....it was bottled for a store in Canada and is from a refill barrel - simply superb😋.
Cheers fellas!
Great to have you lads back!
Honestly, I think this may be one of my favourite episodes. It's good to see you guys chill back, talk shit and discuss whisky 🥃
Great to see you guys back! Impressed that Stevie brought along that Indie bourbon Arran. He and a few other friends have shown me that bottle but I just can’t bring myself to go three figures (or near abouts) for a single cask at 11years of age. I know it’s the new normal, but I’m holding on the Small Batch prices from pre-2020 in my mind for now😅🥃
So many whisk(e)y TH-cam videos are out there by different people. This channel, thanks to Jake, Ian & Stevie is the best bar none. Thanks for the shared knowledge & entertainment you guys give to me & to our community. 🙏
Thanks for the kind words ❤
Back with a bang! Great episode, utter chaos. Someone should give Ian a bottle of Black Rod if they catch him at a show. The Bushmills is a cracking every day dram and normally on offer for less than £35. I picked up the 15yr Cognac finish on offer for £39.
I’ve fallen arse over tit down the peat rabbit hole so I’m with Jake in goblin corner 😂. Currently drinking the Kilkerran 8 sherry cask, Enigma 14 (peated Glenturret) and Caol Ila Moch. Can’t wait for the next one.
Sláinte 🥃
Please no to the black rod! 😂
Welcome back lads! Enjoying at the moment: ballechin orange wine cask and craigellachie 16yo SV 100 proof
Good craic gents! Thoroughly enjoyed watching (in replay) with a Kilkerran 16. Couldn’t help but wonder what Stevie’s food pairing of choice was during the video! It was crunchy obviously, sound effects and all. 😂
Could be the Funniest and greatest show yet! almost in tears. Ive got the Kilkerran 16 but will carck it in about 10 years as i have to consume about 10 other bottles of other stuff first lol
As always, excellent whisky banter guys.🥃
Cracking episode guys oh we’ve been missing yous . I’m currently enjoying a glen scotia single cask heavily peated lovely stuff. I love kilkerran probably my favourite spirit from the springbank range , still got to open this years 16 but will get to it soon 🥃🥃
The work is done and I can write a proper comment.
Sipping the Longrow single malt whisky I bought in Graz yesterday. I wanted the Killkerran 12 but it was sold out, thanks to the OSWAs. It is almost impossible to get a good selection of Campbeltown whiskies in Slovenia, so I had to make a 100 mile drive to Austria to get it.
What is available in Slovenia is a whole bunch of Kilchoman expressions. I may have missed you guys talking about their range, so I suggest an episode of their non-core products for your and our enjoyment.
It was great to hear from you again and I can't wait for the next podcast!
Cheers.
Finally a new episode! Cheers 🥃😀
I have a 17yo Bunna Manzanilla 20cl from the distillery open atm - lovely!
Tried the 19yo HP Enigma twice and it's a really weird bottling... not uninteresting but not worth a whole bottle imo.
Welcome back. Recently bought the new Jura 16, signatory vintage secret speyside (macallan) and Kingsbarns 8 year old cask strength. Going to get TWEs Christmas bottle and their Arnamurchan exclusive too.
Great to see a new episode. 😀
i loved this episode just drinking "good" whisky, talking , laughing and taking the piss out of each other.
tonight i'm gone enjoy a lagavullin DE 2003
Great to see Jake, The Pirate, and Posh back! Thanks for all the content!
Posh is getting as a gift the Dalmore 12 or that Aldi whisky lol
Oh ffs 😂
@@IanBear1000 you guys should do a podcast/video with a lineup of worst reviewed whiskies from previous videos and then rank them. Cheers Ian!
There's a level above an oosh now, it's the Chewbacca apparently - Jesus Stevie that was one hell of a war cry!
Great episode guys. Interesting with the teapot dram, I was the same as Stevie setting the alarm to buy. However, I still haven't pulled the trigger and it's still available. In fact, you can still buy 2023 & 2022 releases at retail. Has it lost it's appeal on price v value?
Really love this channel. Really enjoying a 15 yr Blair Athol finished in first fill ex -oloroso. Need to save some for Christmas. Cheers lads!
Totally spoiled on the Craigellachie front….! Here I’m feeling bad about only trying up to the 23, and only the regular lineup …. I actually dreamed about the 23 after tasting it…. Living precariously through you guys! Keep it up! Love these!
Been a long month waiting for you gents 😉
Recently been enjoying the Glenburgie 15 year 100 proof line from S.V. & surprisingly on a first try of the distillery…the Lochlea batch 2 cask strength
Fun episode guys, interesting to see the difference in opinions across the board. Just got back from the Kilkerran warehouse tour recently, so I’m stocked to the rafters with single barrel Kilkerran to keep me going. The Longrow demijohn was also unreal.
Lucky you 🎉
Was great to meet you Jake up at the Edinburgh Whisky festival. Glad I picked the Craigellachie when you offered !
Well I’ve got to see the flaviar advent calendar videos now 😂😂😂 fruity but hilarious episode chaps! 🍇 loved it
Just got a bottle of Glengoyne 10 First fill Spirit of time whisky from Cyprus duty free.
Nice dram & all non chill natural colour.
C bomb Steve was hilarious today.
Posh looked gutted about his offers being slated.
Jake upsetting the Killkeran fans 😂
Great vlog guys 👍🏻
Genuinely saddened 😢
The Arran 10 is one of the best Arrans we ever tasted. I don't say this simply because we stock their stuff but this cask has made a great impression with all who have tried it. I was expecting something different when i popped the first one open and it caught me by surprise as a tropical style beauty of a dram.
You asked what we’ve been enjoying…. finally cracked open my Hazelburn 21. It sure took me back to my stay Campbeltown.
Very enjoyable episode! I just had to google um bongo. That’s definitely not a thing in Canada 😂 Cheers, guys!
Great episode, all the picks sounds interesting in their own way. I think Kilkerran is banging out fantastic product, the 8yr stuff is just incredible whatever cask it’s aged in, has become my favorite of the Springbank distilleries and I can actually find it, win win.
Was wondering if you’s would perhaps consider putting in the notes accompanying the video the details of the bottles reviewed? It would make it a lot easier, when revisiting an episode, to have a quick search online and find out more information about what you’re drinking. Slainte
P.s. Ballechin 19 Manzanilla in my glass, just about retains enough smoke to keep it interesting, the similarly aged Bordeaux kinda lost all the smoke so, though tasty, lacked a bit of punch.
Just on the whole vatted orkney malt: I was told by the folks at Scapa that vatted orkney means that they teaspoon Scapa in (or in a very rare case Scapa teaspoons Highland Park). I have no idea if that's true or not, but it's what they told me at the distillery back just about a month ago in early October.
P.S. I ran into Jake at the Claxton table at Murrayfield -- I think we were both trying something young, but that table was fantastic.
Nice one lads. Picked up that Enigma from the Edinburgh shop recently. Even more intrigued now. Must get it open.. Cheers..
The US got one of those 11yr Craigellachie exceptional casks. definitely on the line of overbaked, in a good way. The enigma series is always interesting. I most recently got the 25 yr blend, which was all sherry cask and yet somehow a caramel bomb. Enigma indeed.
Great episode Gents
🥃😂😂😂😂😂😂🥃
I wonder if Jake’s opinion on the KK16 would be somewhat different if the order was changed….
Yeah I probably picked badly there, the peat is very gentle and it’s only 46%
@ I don’t think YOU picked badly in the slightest. We need to help Jake on his journey……. I do however understand his point to a degree.
Im not sure what I was expecting with both the 23/24 KK16 bottling’s but they’ve come of age imo. Prior to the recent releases I preferred the 12.
What I would say is they are a lovely balanced delicate everyday Kilkerran and enjoyed in isolation are superb. Once it’s involved in a heavy hitting CS lineup it will perhaps shrink into the background for many palates.
Oh, I'm really looking forward to the Longrow episode!
@@Steve______ so am I.
I just got the regular one and on the first sip it was an ooooosh. I prefer it to the Springank 10 atm.
The wait is over 🎉
Soapy taste could come from dilution too fast. Keep up your good work it’s very entertaining!
Cheers 🥃
It’s funny that when Stevie is smacking about and says “the Bunna has a fucking amazing” it comes across as a legitimate tasting note. I’d buy that Bunna. Sorry Jake…I may have been a bit hard on you 😅 So glad to see the 3 of you back. You’ve been missed
Tudor bb GMT?
Yep 😊
@ we share our love for whisky appreciation and horology, cheers
Hey guys, what about the Longrow episode? 🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂🧐😁
Not to start being that guy but I am curious if any of this community is a super taster. To be clear super taster does not mean you taste "better" but you taste just more intensely! They could be perceiving any possible bitterness as "soapy". Just a thought!
Sorry … one more comment. I’m Canada they don’t sell crisps (chips) in movie theatres because the crunching away is annoying.
Welcome back, gents! Where have you been? P.s., Jake’s audio was shit on this episode.
Stevie eating in front of the mic is not that enjoyable sorry
