@@4rchim True, I unkowingly beat Red Saurian early game using lv.6 Chixia, just utilizing dodge counter and spamming her forte. 😅
Great viedo as always! But IMO merging is best used at DB lvl 15 to get to 17 fast, as with the randomness of it you can easily get half your echodex filled without hunting them all down, and start target farming your sets from there on. Its a trade of: invest time to rehunt all echos manually now and get a few more by lvl 19 vs get most random out of the way now and spend the time on specific set echos instead. For pure casuals its probably better do wait for 19, but for most active players target hunting early will give better rewards for time invested.
Yea its the same as using resin at early levels or saving it for relics later. At the end of the day using the resin early will level up your account level, thus allowing you to farm sooner. So it ends up mathematically being the same thing. So yea I could save merging for DB 19 but even as a casual it could be weeks before I get there so why not just speed up my progress. I value my time more than I value getting a few extra gold relics
For Tip #3, using Data Merge around Data Bank level 13 actually helped me a lot getting into level 15 as it gives me the 4* echoes I'm missing to level up. I could've just waited for it, but I'm eager to get chances of 5* echoes already anyways so it works out fine for me ^
Waiting till databank 15 is just better since at that level you would much rather have a chance to get 5 star echoes and waiting for the 5 star echoes is much more xp since you don’t need every echo at 4 star to get level 15 but you do need every echo at 5 star to get level 20. And I will tell you now that getting every echo at 5 stars even with the merge is awful. That grind sucks, and on top of that you don’t get to use the last 2 data bank levels until level 40.
@@benboss1056 You dont need every echo for db20. I am missing like 10 echoes on golden rarity and I have it maxed.
@@benboss1056 that's just sweaty min-maxing though with no guarantee that you will actually progress faster and/or get the stats you want on that 5 star echo. I am at databank 17 now and used the merge a few times at 13 then the rest at 15. Most important part is to hit union level 30 as you hit (or before) data bank 15.
Even so, going to look for a mob to kill to get his 4 star echo is alot more time and ressource efficient than rolling 5 echos for a chance (1 out of all the mobs in the game) to get the 4 star youre looking for

If u have skill issue jianxin is an okay pick btw she can compensate a little more for being bad at parries or taking hits etc
Jianxin is better in endgame when you dont have skill issue, cuz u can run a team with no sustain just using her as DPS and two sub DPS in the team. Mortefi's ult and outro skill is especially good combined with her forte ability.
Or else you can run a team with a main dps that doesn't require much time on field (5-9s) like Encore, since jianxin takes quite some time on field to charge and use her forte.

My 3 team for end game are
1. Jianxin and mortefi
2. Danjin, mc(havoc) and verina/baizhi
3. Calcharo, yinlin and verina/baizhi
Everyone has her kit wrong, she is already making waves on cn. She is a support (supports are always broken think about bronya/mona etc) her outro provides 40% ult dmg bonus. So if any unit is released with massive ult nuke she will pop off (currently only Calcharo, Havoc mc), plus she groups enemies. The goal is to take as little field time as possible, her downside is she generates energy really slowly but that can be fixed with ER gears at high levels. I see her being similar to kazuha helping clear all trash mobs of floors in late game, or being used for boss nuke setups

I did use my merge at 15 because I'm lazy as I had a lot of undiscovered 4 and 5* echos that it helped me get, shot straight to 17 from doing it and bosses
I kind of disagree with our take over the use of the Echo Merger. Firstly, 99% of players wont be able to hit Union Level 40 for probably a few more weeks, which is a requirement for you to even unlock the % benefits of Databank Level 19. Not using the merger at ALL pre-19 will significantly slow the speed at which you get to Databank 15, and 17 (the two major breakpoints), which in turn will slow down how quickly you can just naturally get 5 star echoes all over the overworld (and when fighting your weekly bosses, ascension bosses).
Sure, saving a bunch of your 2-4 cost echoes for Databank level 19 (which most will hit in a few weeks' time withuot insane refreshing) might net you a larger number of 5 star echoes in one big merging spree, but at the end of the day you're putting echoes at a 5 to 1-2 conversion rate, even if its 2-3 costs into a 5 cost. You'll net out with a lot more 5 cost echoes from hitting Databank 15 (and importantly 17, which are all very accessible atm) by just doing your daily gameplay, and even grinding overworld echoes.
Not to mention you'll be strengthening your teams by ALOT more ALOT sooner, which can help you tackle harder content sooner than later. Just my thoughts though.
agreed, i used it at databank lv 12/13 and now im almost maxed out with 5 more echoes to go
@@kuri_sg Yup, I used some pre-15 to hit 15 earlier, and then used the rest (and kept accumulating more) at 15 and 17. I'm now enjoying life getting so many 5 star echoes from overworld and it feels so fun.
Unlocking 5 stars early also means I just easily shot up from 17 to 19 within a couple hours - which doesn't matter anyway because we need to be UL40 to unlock the benefits.

Sitting at Data Bank 19 right now, super f**king annoying that it's locked behind world level when the only thing it would change is making farming echo's more efficient.
Tip #3 get to level 19 data bank gonna take a while especially if you don't play alot, because you need to get to union level 40 to unlock data bank 19, i think merging echos at data bank level 15 is the sweet spot and can help get to data bank level 18 faster

Data merge is helpful especially in early game due to its fast progress of rewards and access to five star echoes plus you're gonna grind anyways which you'll able to get 4 to 5 star echoes than multiple low star echoes for a single 5 star in the future.

You can put 2 Waypoint at two different 4 Cost Echo location to speed up your farming. When you finished 1 Boss You can teleport to the other one and finish it off instead of just waiting for the last one to respawn. By time you are done and teleport back it should also respawned.
I Think alot of the advice I see on waiting to use resources is well intentioned, but I am clearing content twice as fast investing in good purple echos that melt everything, otherwise farming starts to feel kind of tedious. I think at lv 30 or memory bank 15 is a great time to start investing in your character to set up for end game.
This. It's the trap of optimization, but you got resources anyway that can only be used for echo green, blue and purple... So may as well use it. Everything can be recycled.

Most of the tips I agree, except:
3: IMO you can invest in 4* echoes because not only they can be used as xp for gold echoes in the future
they can actually increase your stat output even it gives small value... in addition that investing 5* echoes is so hard even in upcoming weeks due to the lackluster amount of mats we can get, and yes investing on blue and green echos is totally not worth it
4: Mostly disagreed... The echo merge can be used and be recommended after you pass DB lvl 17-18 as its just you losing your 50/50 to a standard character, except you can use that too as an entry to recycle the merge till you get your suitable echo... just dont forget to check for extras and the stats as well and lock if u found it good, else it will be consumed as entry too and accidentally recycle it
7: this just a speculation but, i think you can skip the rarity you haven't got yet, for example i got green thunder memphis bit the next time i refarmed i got the gold one, I noticed it gave me triple the DB xp instead of usual

You can use data merge at the level 17 mark to rush level 19 in the data bank if you are rushing the data union levels it is not efficient but the faster you reach 19 the better it is for exploring and getting random 5 star echos

I think for the tip #3 databank merge -- I think it's okay to merge them after you reach lvl15 above because the chance is 60% and the next chance is 80%-90%
I used all mine with the green and blue echos at lvl15 and it helped me reach lvl18 already and the cap stays that way until reach Union Lv 40 .. well to me it's worth it because it saves me time and got a lot of 5s echos now so I can rest before I do the lvl19-20
the databank has a weekly limit too and unless you want to save those echo if you're too casual because it's all RNG anyway

For the selector, should I go for Eidolans on Verina or Calcharro instead of getting a new character?
Depends what your goals are, but a versatile roster is likely to be very important in the long run.
If I were in your position I'd probably save the selector until I needed to finish another team for the tower (since you need 3 full teams eventually for that) and then use it on Encore since she has such massive DPS.

For tip #3, I think it's fairly ok to merge echoes starting at lvl 15. The better rarity echoes that you get from it will increase the data bank level anyway.
Leveling up your data bank via farming until lvl 19 takes a lot of time. If you can manage to get to lvl 17/18 by merging, then you have better chances of getting gold echoes when you start farming in the open world again.

Ok, i have 2 accounts. The 1st have Jianxin and Encore. The 2nd one only Lingyang but haven't get another one from 2nd banner(after the novice banner). Both accounts haven't used the 5* selector yet, so should i just get Calcharo or Verina for both accounts?

For tip #3 honestly by the time you get to UL40 which is when you unlock level 19 databank btw, you should already have it maxed lol, I am at UL30 and alreadt have databank ready to upgrade as soon as UL40 hits which won't be for 2 weeks at least

Yes, i couldn't clear boss stage in tower because of zdps, everything else was easy. 19 pokedex is locked behind higher union lvl btw (limit break from 60 to 70). Was thinking why am i getting purple monkeys so often, that's why, 19 is not active. I feel like i speedrunned the whole game and grinded the f out of it in 3 days, so i have nothing to do but side quests, or with 70-80% exploration everywhere run around with radar\loot mapper. Also no echoes exp and with 4 fields a day you can barely lvl up anything. Yes i leveled everything just to have better stats and thought if it's the same thing as Star Rails exp, then it's no big deal. Well, it's worse, as of now.

hard disagree with tip 3. it doesn't brick the account at all, it reaches the same goal but at different speeds. I power leveled from lvl 15 to 18 by merging, which helped me get more echos drops as the % improved, which means that the 3-4 drops that i would be dropping before merging converted to 5 stars instead.
Ok but like jianxin has grouping and grouping is hella good in tower of adversity. And she has a dmg bonus. So she’s really not that useless lol

8:42 i kinda really disagree about it. Leveling 4 star echoes that give atk% and damage% helps a lot in the early game. Like without it clear speed of mobs will be like 2-3 times longer, many people would just stop playing because of it
but we need to raise the echo levels for the guidebook milestones tho

Couldn’t disagree more with tip #3. Echos is the first system where you can farm it without any energy. The only thing which is energy gated is tuners and xp. Getting legendary echos themselves isn’t the challenge. Merging early can get you to level 15 faster to even unlock the abolition to farm legendaries. That is by far the priority. You can make the argument that post level 15, you should save to 19 so you can get more guaranteed echos but besides from that I think people should use any means necessary to get to level 15 asap and the fastest way is merging

i disagree with the dont merge untill data bank 19 im currently 31 and it takes more then 6000exp to level up union level, thats 3-4 daliys per uniion level thats more then 1 month, thats if you dont use your waveplates which should allways be used every day. If xp increaes per level it could go over 7000xp per level, to get to union level 40 i assume lvl 40 is when you can claim 19 and 20 just my thoughts

nah thundering buffs ult which is calcharos main dmg and u can just cancel out of thundering tempest animation. if u use it during stagger u can get way higher dmg aswell so thundering is just objectively better
