My daily routine:
Log into wuwa, grind echoes for an hour, spend my 40 tuners, get dogshit subs, log out
Log into hsr, farm relics 5 mins, get dogshit relics, log out
and repeat

I swear my relic luck on WuWa is blessed but also unlucky I have god fusion echo pieces when I don’t even have encore yet I have not even a single usuable 5* electric echo for my calcharo bruh
And this is why I don't play Wuwa. Because I know that will be my daily experience. At least in HSR it takes 5 minutes to get disappointed and you don't need to spend tons of resources to even know if a relic is worth raising. Wuwa requires so much more time to farm gear and drains your resources.
Try farming with friends on different worlds me and 2 of my friends are building a character everyday and it’s actually enough to get decent ones but it will be much much better when you hit 40

I'm a big fan of the idea of being able to combine lower level tuners into gold tuners. Also, potentially the way of "recycling" unusable echoes could be some ratio of turning them into the tuners, instead of EXP. Even some shitty ratio like one tuner per cost per echo would feel better than having an endless inventory of unusable echoes, w/o necessarily crashing the game eco.

you don't lose that much xp while rerolling echoes but as you said you can't try your luck without wasting tuner's. its a really frustrating system

All they've got to do is give a few sub stats on drop. That will fix so much. Ppl will have a better idea what to invest in.

I'm kinda curious what the proposed solution is, let alone what farming will look like the closer we are to max unuion rank. I understand that resources are thin but outside of being able to convert echos into tuners/exp what the solution is since everyone seems to be talking about the issue but not giving any solutions in the video. Obviously, gear is gonna bottleneck because that's what increases play time in a gacha game. BUT it is good to address if It's too severe of a bottleneck. Hopefully the community and devs can work together to find a happy middle ground where it's not too easy to just say spend 1 week and have 3 characters built echos but not too hard where it takes month just to finish one character.

They should at least made the purple and blue tuner be crafted into gold tuner or decreased the cost of tuning/upgrading
I MASSIVELY prefer this system to relics/artifacts. Tuner/xp costs are a bit steep currently, sure, but... I have SO MANY on set elemental pieces just sitting in the wings, for elements I don't even care about (so if I ever DO get a cold dmg character I care about, I don't have to farm a "new" domain like I would in other games). But, that's as someone who likes to go on genocide sprees.

@@TechyCatz Yeah, I feel like my echoes are better now, after a week and half of play, than my Genshin/HSR artifacts/relics were after an entire patch or three, no exaggeration. Especially HSR, which is even worse than Genshin for getting good gear (even if I do like the game better overall)
@@timeless1882 I mean, that part isn't too different from rolling on an ER/Cr/CD/flat def piece and watching the first 3 rolls go into flat def so you just trash it. This game's version of that is just getting a crit stat in the first 2 then garbage after ;P
I used to think this way too, but at the end of the day the grind just feels worse. Yes you get more on set main stats, but you have to waste so many materials to even see if the echo is usable. Even though in Genshin/HSR getting on set/on element with good stats is rare, you can at least ignore the pieces that are bad and thus can save those upgrade materials for pieces that have good/decent stats. I think we will quickly run into a situation late game where we have tons of echo xp to spare, and lots of on set main stats, but no tuners to find out if they are good or not.
On my account, I level up my echos every 5 levels and unlock the tunes one by one to minimize my expenses. If one of them is def or HP, I just give up and move on to the next one, because it's so easy to find echos that I can drop the next good echo on the same day.
to be fair, we have to consider the fact that we can swap gears between characters on different floors of abyss (or whatever its called), making it 100x easier cause u only really need very few completed sets

Yeah Wuwa's Echo farming system pretty much only benefits sweaty players. No casual is gonna spend hours roaming the overworld everyday for echoes meanwhile in Genshin & Star Rail you can just clear the dungeon 5-6 times for around 10-20 minutes and call it a day. The fact that Kuro made farming echoes unlimited is a blessing and a curse at the same time. I agree that this system lets you have a good echo much sooner than other games, so i guess that's why they had to handicap this system with scarce Echo exp and tuners.
I've heard a TH-camr saying that Gacha games should only have around 20 minutes or less of dailies farming since many people play more than 1 gacha game at a time. A gacha game that has too much play time for dailies will easily tire most people out.

There's tacet field and it wil only take you about 1-3 mins to farm
Tacet field can give you echo, and if you're feeling it you can grind Echo in the overworld. Thay are just basically the same the only difference is the boss mobs are the only thing you need to grind if you want a c damage c rate piece
that's why we have casual and hard working players 😂
I do think they should make the echo exp farms give more, however, I think that the other problems that ppl talk about that the main stat is hard to get or that casuals will not have right main stats is not complete true, and is more of a perspective given by the fact we can farm it without stamina, for example in genshin or hsr you have the same system when it comes to main stats (pieces con be of different sets, different mains stat, you usually only one one out of the many many there are) but since you are locked by stamina and not monster amount ppl seen to not feel it as much.
another thing is that the gave is new and how many echos you can get is proporcional to the amount of monsters, so by virtue of the gave existing we ar going g to get more and more opportunities to get the right piece, so they can't just boost the rates because then when the game keeps on living then is going to be extremely easy to get many right main stats and then farming would be too quick (if we assume the xp problem is solve or we ignore it)
and the last thing of how grindy it can be because you have to find then I don't think is that true because you have the detector that is really accurate (unlike genshins) and the tasid fields (that in the perspective of farming echos is just like where you farm artifacts in genshin, you have 2 sets all with different levels or in genshin case slots and that can have all of them a variety of main stats)

I just go for level 5 and only invest if it roll crit on first tuning if the piece is for dps. Energy regen for support
I swear ever since unlocking gold rarity on wuwa, most of the pieces i get have to potential to be god rolls but somehow somewhere, they end up being decent rolls instead. (not to mention all the dmg bonus echos being on the wrong set, every. single. time.)
The only problem I have is shell credits to level these echoes or feeding an echo to another is very expensive
Help please! (Constellations GI reference) My spectro Rover is waveband 3, but havoc Rover is only waveband 2. How will I level that evenly at 3 wavebands each? And will I be able to get to 6 waveband havoc Rover? By the way, I already took the Casket Offering to level 10 (115 of the yellow cubes).
I think what needs immediate fixing right now is the 3C.
I dunno any other gacha game where it is possible for you to roll a completely dead stat on a piece. But in WuWa a spectro set that has a havoc% boost is as useful as my degree.

since they won't be max refreshing, i can see the tuner bottleneck being really frustrating, but the echo exp issue is completely moot. The issue comes with the gacha genre. Maybe make extra rewards from coversion have a chance to give 5-15 tuners (rarity of tuners rolled like normal) would be really cool. (And let us uptier lower rarity tuners)
My only suggestion would be to pick at most 2-3 DPS characters when you first start the game and get some initial 5 star echoes that are "good enough" for you. From then on, forego echoes completely for a while. Level those good enough echoes up at +25 and go about your business focusing traces and ascending your characters. After characters are leveled up and their traces are maxed out THEN pick one character at a time and really focus on min/maxing their echoes.
I forget how high Union Level goes, but apparently tuners go up from 10 per run at the Tacet Fields to 15 per run at UL 40. If that continues to go up by 5 every 10 levels then at UL50 you'll get 20 and at UL60 you'll get 25. It'll be much more efficient to focus solely on Echoes at that point, when you have nothing else to spend your waveplates on anymore.

The odds of good substats in Wuwa is way better than both HSR and Genshin like way better, I think someone already made the math and the odds of getting double crit is more than 10%, there's also the need to get the right sub stats and main stats and then you need to pray that the right stats gets upgraded multiple times in both the latter games, there's multitude of RNG involve compared to the echo system.
Is Havoc Mc’s enhanced basic attack count as basic attack dmg?
Thats a good question, the damage multipliers are in the forte skill but I guess the bonus dmg for basic attack will affect it. We need to test this
I think that the toner system should be abolished, and the bottleneck should only be the XP for the Echo upgrade, and every 5 upgrade levels opens a new random substat.
I've already finished all of the holograms and the only overworld farming i've done is for 4 cost echoes. All of my 1 and 3 cost echoes are from Tacet Fields and merging their echoes. I don't need to farm for 4 cost echoes anymore, so the gameplay loop is just log in, do dailies, burn stamina on Tacet Fields, log out. Sound familiar? It should, because this is basically a slightly altered version of Hoyo's daily grind. This is what an actual casual player's experience looks like.
I spend a quarter of the time that a streamer does in the game and i'm pretty much at the same "endgame" point. I have zero issues with the echo system. Regardless, thumbs up for the entertaining video.

While the system for substats suck compared to HSR and genshin, I still much prefer this system because you don’t have to wait weeks to have a usable set. Just getting mainstats is enough to clear most of the content, which means new characters are usable sooner. Maybe not good but at least they’re usable. TBH I want my cake and eat it too, we can have a system that is good for both mainstat and substat rolling.

Wuwa has pretty much the same problem that Epic7 has with equipment but worse since it's super easy to farm on Epic7 and they throw free stuff at you all the time

I think you underestimate the frequency of echo drops. I always stop at 15 to see if its good or not. If I don't roll crit in the first three attempts I go into another relic. This is my third gatcha and at a certain point you can't FOMO for every piece. I learned this the hard way in Genshin. Now, for Genshin, I stop at 12 i because if it was already shit before then, then an extra two rolls won't fix it.
Let me also add that this system is way more generous than Genshin's. Forget about substats, you need to spend energy to get main stats, it took months to build a team to clear the Abyss.
You are not forced to upgrade if you have 3 mid stats, if you have enough resource you can gamble for fun, you can also move on and save. I think echoe system in this game is better in terms of resource management than for example hsr's relics system. You dont want to be always greedy, especially as f2p.

Why are u +15 1 cost and 4 cost? just +5 and if u get the Crit. Rate or Crit. Dmg u keep going, those are easy to get, the only echos ill be more ok if they dont roll perfect are the elemental dmg ones.

That’s not unrelatable lol.. I’m at 60/205 with almost 1400 attack at level 60 as f2p. Just about how much you want to dedicate to the character.
its not so bad as all creators make it to be. there is 12% chance your piece to roll double crit.
that means that even if you are full casual that dont follow any logic you will get 1/9 double crit.
moreover there is a high chance that you will roll at least one more good substat.
That actually is enough stats to clear 99% of the content.
The system is 10 times more generous than Genshin cos
- even bad stats like flat attack are actually good
- if you 3/5 main stats 4,1,1 cost are incredibly easy to get.
- your set can be traded in Tower. Imo thats a bad decision but it means only 1 set per type.
- due to how math roll works after you get 2 crit rolls you char is at 60/225 without any weapon or talent crit bonus.
the grind is in fact getting pieces with 4 or 5 usable stats and high rolls. BUT it will matter only in speedruns.
for example you want to target 2 crit rolls, attack roll, ER and res lib for Jian. that can take months.

It is incredibly unnecessary right now and it takes almost as much exp to get from 20-25, than it does from 1-20.
Also, he has no idea what Casuals do lmao. He's projecting a sweaty mentality, onto a casual. He doesn't realize that majority of the time, they're just gonna go for 5 set bonus and probably won't even have right main stats. He severely underestimates how much they don't care.

i feel like they could fix this by having 2ish stats visible when the echo drops, then with each tune you can see another one. So a lv 0 echo would show what the first two subs will be, then at +5 with 1 tune you will be able to see the unlocked sub and the next two etc! It would just cut down on how much they force us to waste to to see those substats

People need to realize: the faster you can build your characters, the faster you quit the game.
The tuner and echo bottleneck is there by design.
This is why I keep telling people, in the meantime until we get better drops from UL ascensions, you are fine leveling 4 stars. They take significantly less exp to level, provide decent damage gains, and use an entirely separate tuning currency than the 5 stars.
I promise you the reason you’re not clearing Tower is not because of 5 star echoes
