- built/ assembled this AR10 platform rifle in 260 Remington
PSA upper and lower
24 inch McGowen 1:8 twist barrel
put it together about 2 years ago and got around 600 rounds through it, haven't put it in paper for groups however based on shooting at 600 and 1000 yards appears to be a consistent MOA performer
The 260 Remington can do anything the 6.5 CM can do, and sometimes just a little bit better. As a hand loader, the thing I love the most about the 260 Rem is that I do not have to worry about brass shortages as long as there are 7.62 x 51 NATO or 308 Winchester brasses. Just run those brasses into a 7mm-08 Remington neck sizer die, then run the brass into a 260 Rem full-length sizer die, give the neck a slight trim and I'm ready to reload.
I own a 260 rem ss 700m excellent shooter here in Texas we can still find that ammo a superior round harvested many bucks including feral hogs, elk and mule deer as well
Nice build. I have all ways liked the 260 Remington. I have a Palmetto AR 10 on order. I went with 20inch stainless barrel in 308 Winchester. Going to upgrade the trigger to a Larue straight blade two stage trigger, Strike industries extended latch lever and a LMT muzzle brake. As for your miss sling plug on your stock. You have to buy them separately. Reason I know is I have the same stock. That’s the one thing that bothers me about Luth. In fact on my last build I bought a Magpul PRS instead. Got it for $175. Luth is less expensive normally. But when they nickel and dime for little items it adds up. Like both stocks.
The phrase that gets you ready is "Lock and load" or commonly referred to as "Lock-N-Load"...
What kinda range you looking to get with this rifle
How’s the recoil on this bad boy?
