- Due to the incomming project of a CNC lathe for metal turning i did some test connections of this cheap chinese VFD.
VFD - Sako ski780 380V 2.2kW
AC Motor - 2.2kW 1410rpm Y 380V

Hallo, ich habe meinen auch angeschlossen und einen externen Potentiometer installiert, nur ist es normal das die Frequenz andauernd hoch und runter springt und keine konstante Frequenz anzeigt
Wie groß sind die Schwankungen?

mam kilka pytan do ciebie co do tego falownika:
1 - czy uzywasz go i czy sie nadal sprawdza?
2 - czy rozwazales dolozenia brake resistor?
3 - przejrzalem pobierznie dokumentacje i nie widzialem wyjsc na dodatkowy moduł dla przycisku "emergency stop". Czy w urzadzeniu sa dodatkowe wyjscia na podlaczenie takiego przycisku?

odpowiadając:
1 - używam w tokarce w moim warsztacie domowym i działa cały czas jak należy;
2 - nie rozważałem bo w moim przypadku akurat nie ma potrzeby;
3 - W mojej instrukcji, którą kiedyś gdzieś znalazłem widzę zapis, że do wejść DI1-5 można przypisać e-stop, który według instrukcji jest funkcją nr 47 czyli np. podłączając zgodnie z schematem sygnał z grzybka pod np. DI4 to trzeba by ustawić parametr p4-03 jako 47 i powinno działać pod wejściem DI4.

Just purchased this mini vfd to use with my 2.2kw cnc spindle . Been making notes from your video (which is great by the way ) regards to parameter settings but would I be correct in saying that if I want to control it via my cnc motion controller, P0-02 should be set to 1 ?? I want to use 0 - 10v for speed ref ????
I'm glad my video helped! Exactly, you should use p0-02 = 1. I've got on my channel a video about setting up this VFD with MACH3 where I show the parameters I use for 0-10V control on this VFD

Hi there , thanks for your quick reply , unfortunately I’m using the smc5-5 offline controller but I think it’s similar to Mach 3 , Not entirely sure though !!! Thanks again for your help and info !!
@@davidwhite9676 I don't know that controller, but MACH3 uses 0-10V output too so the parameters on the VFD should be the same I guess. Good luck!

Hello! I don't a standard VFD can control motor by torque. You'd have to buy an servo drive I think
Need to stop immediatelly, how to do? Is it capable to work for emergency stop? Maybe need a separate circuit for this function? Thanks :)
If I remember correctly it is possible to connect a e-stop to the vfd. But stopping immediatelly depends on the inertia you have to decelerate.

Hello, thanks for this video ! Any idea why my vfd frequency doesn't go upper than 320hz, while it's supposed to go up to 500hz..?
Maybe there is a upper limit parameter set to that value? Or you're using an analog voltage input less than max?
@@GBWM_CNC thanks for your fast answer ! The upper limit is that actual value that doesn't go upper than 320hz. Maybe a voltage problem... But what parameter to change then..?
@@escapedillinger hard to tell tak be honest. Best way would be checking the manual - there are usually tables with parameters described
@@GBWM_CNC after some researches, it appears that this AE VFD is sold for 500Hz max frequency but only support 320. So back to seller and I've order another one on Vevor. Thanks again !!

Hello. How to change the settings and start it remotely, not from the desktop?
Hello. Check out my video where I show how to setup this VFD for mach3. Mach3 is using a relay output which starts the vfd remotely. P0-02=1 is the parameter which allows you to control it by a terminal input.

No. This is a ac motor. You need a vfd for it. Tb6560 is a stepper motor driver

Nie zmieniałem obrotów z panelu - warto zobaczyć w instrukcji. Jeżeli nie w taki sposób to na pewno będzie się dało wejściami cyfrowymi.

Hallo ich finde den Parameter nicht um den Motor über die am Sako eingebauten Start Stop Taste zu aktivieren.
P0-02 = 0 (Parameter, mit dem Sie den Motor über das Bedienfeld steuern können)

Hast du das auch eingestellt? Es ist für die Potentiometer-Frequenzquelle verantwortlich.
@@GBWM_CNC ja ist eingestellt.Poti geht ja auch.Starten kann ich nur über D1 und GND.Da ist mein Schalter dran.Vielleicht liegt da der Fehler.
are stiil need a capacitor or not?
3 phase AC Motor don't require a start-up capacitor. 1 phase ac motors usually require them.

@@freddiepasitengpawi1792 Mine is a 3HP 3 phase and works fine with this VFD :) You just have to configure it right to your motor and you should be fine.

Der blaue ist und bleibt der nullleiter und wird nicht als phase verwendet
You're right. I was using just the wires I had lying around
at low rpm the torque is low...I can increase the torque delivered by the electric motor...thanks
This is physics. Sadly it's hard to obtain high torque on low RPM. If you want low RPM and high torque then you need a pulley
@@GBWM_CNC Power= momentum×angular speed ... but I thought a minimum of adjustment was possible ... I will change the transmission ratio ... thanks
@@domenicofarina7125 You can try to read about vector and scalar control method in VFDs. I didn't try but there is a setting in this vfd to change the method. Vector control should provide more torque. But that's some theory I know from classes - got no experience. You can try to make some research - maybe changing the method might provide the little extra torque you need.

Oh man, is this a video of what you could do wrong when doing electrical installation ???
1. NEVER drill the cables when crimping !!!
2. NEVER EVER use earth line (green/yellow) for anything other than earth potential !!!!!
3. Ground the motor properly !!!
4. Connect the calble at the motor connaction panel BELOW the U-brakets. Always use the left side of the screw, because then the rotation will pull the cable in, not out.

2. This was just a fast test setup, wouldn't use that wire for a real wiring in a cabinet

@@GBWM_CNC But how can you ground the motor on this VFD? just add the groundwire to the ground of the input power?
