This is by far the best introduction to sailing the north and the best film that I have ever seen... And trust me I have seen a lot of videos :) We have resently sailed our boat back from the Med to Denmark and now we are sure that we are going north over the coming years. At the risk of paraphrasing many comments, your videos are "off the charts", an artistic identity and a technical mastery that has nothing to envy to professional reports. It's a shame that talent doesn't pay off (in terms of followers and views) as much as bikinis and other tutorials. Once again: "Bravo", I am bluffed!
Among so many sailing life vlogs, this is the best I have ever watched. The music, the scenery and the voyage itself are all the top-levels, so relaxing. Really hope to see more of your work of art.

Thank you! Yeah we often struggle to find the right balance. Sometimes we want to use all the shots we like, and that means some shots don't last as long as they deserve. And yet, the amount of clips that didn't make the cut at the end is heartbreaking!

Laurie and Nao, that is truly some epic drone footage of the fjords in Norway. The music was perfectly suited to it as well. You guys do really good camera work. Absolutely impressive, and that’s coming from someone who lives close to several fjords in Southeast Alaska. Mind you they’re different than the ones in Norway because we have a lot of trees but they are just spectacular. Great video , but sailing videos are better without music , with just the sound of the ocean. You tube videos tend to be way over produced. Less is better . You can get music anywhere , but not the ocean sounds
Our 30ft yacht is in Locmiquelic, our dream is to head north and see Norway, Sweden denmark, germany etc etc... great vid, great images. Bonne route et bonne vent
We left Paimpol in late July and came back three months later. The departure from Norway was a bit late for the season but we got lucky and found a good weather window.

J aimerais y aller cette année, mais avec ce covid nos libertés se réduisent. Mon bateau est mouillé en Rance... Vos vidéos font rêver dans cette période anxiogène.
Merci Jean-Claude. On a préparé le bateau pendant le 1er confinement, et on partit en Juillet 2020, retour fin Octobre, juste avant le 2nd confinement. On n'était pas certain de pouvoir entrer dans les pays (notamment en Norvège) mais ça s'est bien goupillé au final... On a eu beaucoup de chance de pouvoir partir et ça n'a pas été le cas pour tout le monde malheureusement; en 3 mois de navigation, on a croisé la route de seulement 4 autres voiliers!..

Is there any trees if you go closer to the middle of the small islands. What a place to feel one with are mother . . You wouldn’t even have to breath it all in. It’s all around you.

C’était en 1976, Tabarly gagnait une transat très ventée dont une dépression nous avait touchée près d’Alesund (une des grosses frayeurs du voyage)…

I used the DJI Mavic Air. It works well but isn't very reliable in strong wind conditions. I like the one I'm using now better (DJI Mavic AIR2S).
