It's quite possible ;-) I started the trip in mid-June and was very lucky with the weather (downwind almost all the way). Happy new year and fair winds !

From a very young age to my mid 20s me and my family sailed from Sweden to and along the Norwegian west coast every summer, the beauty of that coastline is still what I dream of a a final resting place, where heavens and seas meet, and I've done a fair bit of travelling since. Sailing Lofoten in the midnightsun is if not, as close to a psychedelic experience it gets.
Excellent film, 11:11 looked like you were pulling the bottom up to you ha ha.. or a big ball of kelp. loved your sailing scenes, would have like them to be longer.

Some complain the Monsun is slow, and that the long keel is outdated. Such a sea kindly boat, and with a proven pedigree for long distance sailing. Top boat.
What is the internet connectivity like up there? I would love to do something like this, I am a software developer and I work remotely. I can't just quit my job though I don't have enough money.
Great film, like the lack of narration. You can fill it in with thoughts of the beautiful scenery. Cruising ground similar to British Columbia and Alaska.

Par contre un petit conseil, évite de raser les falaises abruptes comme au début de la vidéo, les chutes de pierres, par forcement grosses ne sont pas inhabituelles. Dans le coin ou j´habite des kayakistes allemands sont morts dans ces conditions il y à quelques années.

Tough question Gardureth. All I can say is that I enjoyed being alone in the middle of unspoiled nature, which is becoming increasingly rare. I guess I just realized that I needed more of this wilderness in my life ;-)

So true. Above the artic circle, everything seems quite untouched. Very few boats. cristal clear water...

Sognefjorden is the worlds longest fjord :) The other one is full of ice, so that is not a fjord ;) The world most beautiful fjord is Nordfjord :)
