Woot! 🎉 Do you have a preference on Fresh Foam BB v2 between the gray vs purple color way since the uppers are different material? Does the gray one have better containment since it’s a bit stiffer? Thanks again for the excellent videos!
@@michaelmlin Yes exactly - dark grey feels a little bit harder, but better containment. Well purple pair containment ain’t bad either. Personally I like the looks of the grey colorway a lot more actually, but purple material might be slightly more ideal in general.

Personally I liked the two wxy v4 at size 2E the most. The stability is just unbeatable. Love new balance for selling wide versions of hoop shoes

I have a pair and my foot slips a lot in them , I’ve played out and indoors
I was hooping in them for a while, but then somebody stepped on one of the long laces and it ripped the entire shoe up so I couldn’t even tie it after that. The only other thing that I notices it doesn’t have a thick heel support that allows you to be more springy like most basketball shoes have. It will train the hell out of the muscles attached to your shins though.
As a widefooter myself i pretty much needed this vid! Tommy never disappoints...

Hi there, great review appreciate it. Question though since unfortunately there is basically no chance to get NB pairs in extended width in Europe distribution. I'm 4E wide, how would you adjust sizing in NB FFv2 or TWO WXYv4 coming in standard withs? I'm currently hooping in Chaos 1/2 size up and it is still rather tight, paired with the heel sleep. I'm waiting on Dame's 8 Extply TTS to see how it fits, but certainly was considering the FFv2 as well. Appreciate your insight, cheers.
Hello! Umm I may not be of much help here since I’m not a 4E myself, don’t know how you’d usually adjust the fit. But for a reference - a half size bigger in the Fresh Foam BB V2 / TWO WXY V4 is equivalent to the Court Rider Chaos. So my guess is go half size up from your current Court Rider Chaos size? Cheers.

Yes great choice. Not a very wide foot friendly shoe though.

Another great budget option from Under Armour for wide footers is the UA Lockdown 6. Great cushioning and fit.

Ive just recently bought the nb fresh foam bb v2 and i gotta say i was impressed just from wearing it 3 times. No issues at all and it looks good for casual wear as well!

Wide footer here, just thought I’d throw in my two cents. NB fresh form bb is pretty wide! Moreso at midfoot than toebox, before i broke the shoe in i was losing circulation in my toes (the rest of it was comfy).
My rec could be the curry 4 flotro low. Maybe the best fit I’ve ever had on a shoe, and just a bit wider than the 11. That little bit makes all the difference!

I love my new balance two wxy series and went to the BB Foam V2. Have to be more careful as it is higher off the ground. On my second use, I sprained my ankle with it as I wasn’t used to being higher off the ground.

Hi Tommy, I just wanted to share that I've been using the Adidas Courtjam Control 3 tennis shoes for basketball and they are amazing for wide footers. The court I play at is really filthy but the courtjam's traction is super elite, almost a bit painful with hard stops. The grooves are also thick and deep. I'm really glad I tried them out because it's hard to find bball shoes with durable+elite traction. I wish Adidas would bring their tennis shoes traction setup to their bball models.

@@TommyLiu4 It would be amazing if you could feature adidas tennis shoes! The one I've been using is even better than the Dame Certified, an already excellent shoe. Literally no wipes needed in between runs :)) Its torsion system is also interesting coz it seems to add a bouncy feeling when I'm sprinting or jumping. The best part, I got it on sale for just 30 USD!! :)

NEW BALANCE FRESH FOAM BB V2, and BB v2 2e Wide. If I’m wide foot do I gotta go with 2e wide? Or can I do the regular fit?
@@Lvingbediff You can measure your feet and look up the specifics to see if you are a 2E. If not, slightly wider feet like the standard version is sufficient.
If I have normal width feet, and I wear one of these shoes, will it necessarily have worse lockdown then a shoe not on this list?

For wide-footers, I think the Dame 8's EXTPLY should be highlighted. While discussions on wide-foot shoes often focus on the toe box, it's also essential to consider how the shoe accommodates the foot's "pancaking," especially inside. The Dame 8's paired with Move Game Day Pro insoles and grip socks have been a winning combination for me. If I had to be slightly nit-picky - the Dame 8s are slightly heavy but my foot feels supported and protected and I get a great cushion. Also, cannot recommend grip socks enough for wider footers - solved all the toe bruising for me.

Wide footer here. I ought a pair of the BBV 2s grey days and they were super narrow. I hope I had defective pair because I really like the color. The purple pair I have is better. I wish they came in 2e though.
The upper material on the purple pair is way more forgiving than the upper on the gray pair. The gray pair upper doesn’t give at all. But yes I wish they came in 2E too
Had the same experience. Was so hopeful for these. My left foot is a 4e, especially wide in the midfoot, which was so tight in the shoe, I had to return them 😢

Adding to the fact that us Chinese people have been notorious for these types of blatant copycat products, I’d be ashamed to support something like that.
