It all links together, Jin can’t keep going back in time trying to save the others because something always goes wrong. They need to LOVE THEMSELVES for the future to be happy. And when he’s trying to be someone else for this girl and it doesn’t work that links to the new ep PERSONA. You can’t keep going on with a persona you have to accept yourself and love yourself. I love the messages in BTS mvs.

Words cannot begin to express how much this song means to me. I never thought K-pop would be worth a shot but I gave BTS a try and listened to Boy With Luv and I immediately fell in love and started to work back through their catalog. See, my life in the past 5 years have been a long, difficult 5 years. I lost friends, my parents split, I got diagnosed with major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder, I'll spare you the sob story. I'd lost any self image I had and I just had no clue who I was. Slowly and surely things started to get better, though. Anyway I get to LY: Answer and I listen to Epiphany and Answer: Love Myself and I just stopped dead in my tracks and cried. Because for the first time I realized that to find myself was to love myself and accept myself for who I am. Ever since then, my life has gotten so much better. I'm forever grateful to BTS for their music and their message of self love and acceptance.

basically, if you play the game and watch the game trailer, jin is ofc dealing with time and having to save the members from their tragedies, theres a cat in the trailer who speaks to jin (basically is the anchor to the time traveling thing) and jin asks "you know how to save them, how do i save them?" and the cat responds "you have to find the map of the soul", so the words in the epiphany video just explained what that is.

I start to listen BTS just for lucky, and i find a way to scape to depresion and sadness inside me for the situation in my contry, Although on the outside I try to be happy so as not to worry my family and my husband, there were days when I felt I could not do it anymore, their music arrived just in time to give me the strength to recharge energy and keep fighting to be better. Thanks to their videos I understand the meaning even better, they even help me explain to other friends who go through the same thing as me the beautiful message that the BTS songs have and that they are not just another band with no sense. Keep doing the work they do I love their videos and learn a little more about their culture which I find fascinating.

I'm not a huge BTS fan but one can't deny that Epiphany is probably one of the great cuts in the album. Someone outta give JIN props because this man can sing and I'm not just talking about regular singing but singing as in hitting notes and riffs. Though I personally don't understand the lyrics until this video, you’ll get drawn to it because of the emotion poured on this song. The visual is also amazing and moving forward I do hope we get to hear more songs like this.

They usually have a rough plot figured out, and go into detail while writing it (at least the ones I know do). So maybe they had like a vision about what they were going to base their music on and went with that? and the finer details, like that last paragraph were added when they knew what they were going to base their next album off of?

Not knowing the deep meaning of the song I thought it was enough and I was happy that I fall in love with it. He can rewind time, but no matter how many times he rewinds it always had the same ending of her ‘dying’(this might just be a symbolism of a bad result, it doesnt necessarily have to be a reality). But now he realizes it is fake love and he goes to end it by giving the diary which means him admitting/confessing he is not actually perfect and from now on he will just be himself, not acting to look good and loving by trying to be a person that fits the ‘diary’(can be a symbolism for social expectations etc). Plus his actions to satisfy and love the girl has ultimately pushed him away from the members which is a part of himself.
That's why when he decided to give back the diary and be his self, that's the time that he can be with the boys.. That's the reason why they appear on the pics at the scene?.. Well, this is just my own understanding ☺️

I just watched this (finally) after their new album was released. And then it just hit me, that their video "Ephiphany" already teased their newest album. Map of the Soul. Cause that's what the text says. @_@ *mindblown*
Every song has a story behind it but only a handful people knows how to interpret it. Some merely think of it, it's just a good song, pleasant to our ears. But this medium gives your audience a better understanding of what the story is all about and it's fascinating. This is great!
Wow. That was very eye opening. I thought that the MV, together with the music was talking about learning to accept oneself after a heartbreak. That you are still worth it. In actuality, what it's saying was that you need to learn to love and accept all that you are, including your imperfections and dirts, so that you can also love (or interact with) another genuinely (with all that they are). Anything less than that and you might just be putting that person into a pedestal, ultimately making them your sick version of perfection and not seeing them as real and bleeding people. As they say, "You can't give what you do not have."

I viewed another lyric video of the song and the translation left out the nuances, etc. Your references to the set design & symbolism went a long way to erase the notion that this was a narcissistic ballad that other translations are not so great as I mentioned. Thanks a million. I have to say I do enjoy these introspective songs from BTS; it's my age - the closer you get to the end of your human lifespan, the more time you have to reflect on life gone by. He can rewind time, but no matter how many times he rewinds it always had the same ending of her ‘dying’(this might just be a symbolism of a bad result, it doesnt necessarily have to be a reality). But now he realizes it is fake love and he goes to end it by giving the diary which means him admitting/confessing he is not actually perfect and from now on he will just be himself, not acting to look good and loving by trying to be a person that fits the ‘diary’(can be a symbolism for social expectations etc). Plus his actions to satisfy and love the girl has ultimately pushed him away from the members which is a part of himself.

I just watched this (finally) after their new album was released. And then it just hit me, that their video "Ephiphany" already teased their newest album. Map of the Soul. Cause that's what the text says. @_@ *mindblown*
Every song has a story behind it but only a handful people knows how to interpret it. Some merely think of it, it's just a good song, pleasant to our ears. But this medium gives your audience a better understanding of what the story is all about and it's fascinating. This is great!

Wow. That was very eye opening. I thought that the MV, together with the music was talking about learning to accept oneself after a heartbreak. That you are still worth it.
In actuality, what it's saying was that you need to learn to love and accept all that you are, including your imperfections and dirts, so that you can also love (or interact with) another genuinely (with all that they are).
Anything less than that and you might just be putting that person into a pedestal, ultimately making them your sick version of perfection and not seeing them as real and bleeding people.
