Mine the southern most state Tamil Nadu where In each district u will find people speaking same language with diff accent..
And its fascinating when I find Korea has similar practices
      Thanks for explaining
As always u peoole are hard working.. Kudos 👍👍

And then,we have bahasa Indonesia as unifying language. I never knew that Korean has it too, it's sounds similar to me 😅

      "Korean Peninsula Tiger, and Unification"
(By: 5th Grader Kim Nam Joon)
      Not a small rabbit but
      a scary tiger.
scratch is made on the tiger's waist.
Hurt on the waist and struggling
one tiger continues to suffer in pain.
China, Japan, and United States all looked down on us,
and said we are not a tiger but only a small rabbit.
But the day when the scratch on the tiger's waist washes away
the world will not be able to look down on us.
South will be like the north,
North will be like the south,
The day when the two colors on the Korean flag
      unite and become purple,
      70 million citizens
will become one and look up to the sky with hands together,
That day will come one day.
      Marching one step by step
      to the place called unification
We are not a small rabbit but
      one brave tiger.
To a place where we are under one sky even in different places.

here's an explanation for the pregnant part from an army called muish: "I’ve conceived. The watermelon from Moodeung mountain is 20 kg and strong.
8-9th month being the season of watermelon harvest on Moodeung Mtn. Also the 9th month being the end of pregnancy. Harvest/fruition metaphors here. Moodeung mountain is a mountain by Gwangju Metropolitan in Jeolla Province, and they grow special type of watermelon here that are often 20 kg (44 lbs). He is bragging about large harvest of fruits from this region, and comparing this harvest to “__kg and strong”, which is often a phrase used to describe newborn healthy boys.
From the first look, he’s an obvious BTS that will make girls cry over them.
When healthy good-looking new-born boys are born, neighbours will often say “he’ll grow up to have girls cry over him.” This phrase is also self-praising of BTS.
J-Hope really sounds like an old farmer in this song in his tone - appropriately so, since he keeps talking about agriculture."

Leave it to DKDK to really dig in and explain what’s the real message in a song. Been listening to this for so many years and i knew that they made this song with pride of where they’re coming from. But listening to this explanation makes me realise & respect BTS even more because this song actually has more meaning. And Thanks too DKDK for this great, informative explanation, this is so interesting. I always interested in Korean history, so this explanation make me understand a lot more about Korean history.

This is somehow related to the final part of the song ( Namjoon's part)
He wrote this poem when he was 12 (5th grade)
    'Korean Peninsula Tiger, and Unification'
    Not a small rabbit but
    a scary tiger.
scratch is made on the tiger's waist.
    Hurt on the waist
    struggling
    one tiger continues to suffer.
China, and Japan, and United States
all looked down on us, and said we are not a tiger but only a small rabbit.
But the day when the scratch on the tiger's waist washes away
the world will not be able to look down on us.
South will be like the north,
North will be like the south,
The day when the two colors on the Korean flag
    unite and become purple,
    70 million citizens
    will become one
and look up to the sky with hands together,
That day will come one day.
    Marching one step by step
    to the place called unification,
We are not a small rabbit but
    one brave tiger.
To a place where we are under one sky even in different places.
    -Kim Namjoon

In my country we have several dialects too and some regions are looked down on due to decades old stereotype. It's so interesting to see how other country deals with lingual diversity. I’m Chinese and I can relate to the region hostility so much! It’s quite severe over there in China.
For example, my parents both came from the same province of 四川 Si-Chuan (known for spicy dishes), but there’s even regional hostility between CITIES, as they all have different dialects even though they’re only a few hours’ drive away!
My dad’s home city, 自贡 Zi-Gong, is only 4 hours away from my mom’s home city 巴中 Ba-Zhong, but his city’s dialect is often made fun of (jokingly) by other Si-Chuan cities’ people, because to others, his city’s dialect sounds really funny.
All of this is in the same province. If you were to compare between different provinces, oh my, that’s even worse...😂

    • @GeniTLK
      @GeniTLK 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@CC-jv5ns That's so interesting.. I think there is the same happenstance in my grandparents' country of Colombia. I think it's not strictly separated by provinces, rather by regions and the socioeconomic status people have. There is jokes and insults thrown around by people of different cities because someone sounds uneducated, or like a mountain peasant, or even farmers. This is worsened by the different accents that vary from city to city!

In my country we have something similar with gagagaga... If I say "Bababa ba?" or "Going down?" the other person says "Bababa" or "Going down"... "Bababa" means to go down while "ba?" would be the question mark. I also think we have an equivalent word for 'geosigi'. In my country it will be the word "ano". We use "ano" to replace a word we forgot or if we find it difficult to describe something. It's useful though since even though we forget the right word, the other person will know what we mean by "ano".

Ex: "Kunin mo nga yung ano... yung kwan."
Direct translation: "Get the... what is it... the thing."
