Hi Kimmie! A plant-based diet sure helped me a lot, but I'm very respectful of how we're all different. I hope you like these sauce recipes - they are so good on veggies!
Put peeled garlic cloves in the freezer… it mellows the sharpness of them. I put them in whole and pull out what I need. Works for hummus without having to cook them beforehand. It only takes a few minutes to defrost so it’s soft enough to mince up. I may try mincing ahead of time put in cubes in the freezer first so it’s ready to go for other dishes where I need minced garlic.
You just rocked my world! I heard someone say that about onions, but I never thought about garlic. It's going to be my new favorite kitchen trick! ❤
Thanks for that tip. I can’t digest raw garlic - it gives me painful heartburn for some reason! But I might try this trick. ❤
"It's very saucy lookin'," lol I don't know why but, that cracked me up.
I didn't even know I said that. Haha. I'm always cracking myself up so I'm glad to have company! 😂

Cashew cream is good for pasta
Yes! Good tip to share here. Because you can add it to marinara to make a creamy marinara or add it plain (with some vegan parm) for an alfredo style sauce. Thanks for this tip!
I can't do oil. To regulate my cholesterol I have to do a no oil
Hi Nancy. I understand. You can just leave the oil out for the tahini and avocado sauces. You might want to add a bit more lemon/lime sauce to each to get the right consistency. ❤
What about using aqua-fava to replace oil?
@@peggyrivera3964 That is a great idea! So, Nancy, you can add some of the liquid from a can of chickpeas to replace the oil. Thanks Peggy!
Having allergies makes it so hard to eat plant based.........seems like everything is made using nuts and tofu.........I can't have either.
