    Hi Madeline - I love your energy! Working my way through your vides and really getting a lot out of them. I do have a question though that is pretty much the opposite of this video, are you ever involved in the recruitment of mature candidates? I know that is not within your "Millennial" niche but personally would love to see some pointers, tips and advice for someone combating ageism at the very end of their career but still wants to make a move. I have seen other youtubers in that niche but just love your style and was curious on your take. Thanks

      Thanks Dana, I have a lot of thoughts and experience with this, and many of the people in my programs fall into this category. I’d love to do some content on this topic, great idea!

    I enjoyed this video! Can you please do a video on how to answer behavioral questions with no experience?
    I am not a student. I have no experience related to the field I am pursuing and nor have I had a professional career in any other industry. Don’t want to go into interviews sounding inexperienced.

    • @renaethecareercoach
      @renaethecareercoach 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What experiences do you have? Focus on that. The thing with behavioral questions is they’re seeing how you would react to certain situations and not necessarily analyzing your technical skills. Check out the job description and pull out things that align with the experiences you DO have. Hopefully this helps!

    Hi I am really enjoying your videos. I was looking for a video where you said something like, resumes don't have to be accurate, they need to tell your story. I can't remember the exact wording. I wanted to share that video with someone, but I can't seen to remember which one it was.

    Just saw your channel today. Content is on the money. But, the thing is I'm from India and things are pretty different in terms of opportunities here. I got confirmation mail from an MNC in January but I'm still waiting for joining letter after regular communication with HRs. If you can give any tips for finding jobs for recent mechanical engineering graduates in India, it would be very much helpful.

    I struggle with finding examples for my clients on what skill headings they should use on their resumes, do you have a video on this or would consider making one on functional resumes?

    '21 grad with two different companies that are relevant to a open role and a relevant internship. I don't have a finished portfolio project, nor any relevant ones from university, but worked part-time as a yoga instructor the past couple of years. The job is for a product analyst and could tailor it to the role, but was not sure if I should include it. If I do include it, should I make another section? I want the other, more relevant roles to be higher up on my resume since they are more applicable to the role! Your videos are helping so much in my job search so thank you!:)

      I was the marketing co-director for my sorority as well, but it was very low maintenance because of COVID-19 and am not sure if I could speak a lot about it! Let me know if you think either should be included or if just having 3 jobs is a-ok!

    Thank you for your videos. This topic is really important and helpful. I'm curious what you would advise for legitimate work experience people may have that is very personal or not appropriate to share with an employer, especially as a first appearance. I'm thinking things like 12-step programs, therapy groups, cult survivors, sex workers. I'm sure there are lots of other good examples. They might be super involved in service structure, have years of experience managing finances, or time spent mentoring. How do you suggest people speak to skills like this that are too valuable to leave out, while maintaining appropriate and desired boundaries? (And without being sketchy 😆) Have you come across similar situations in your work? Thank you!
